If you care about your health and well being, do not come to a place that practices mill medicine,…read morecontrary to the standard of care. Multiple rushed and poor experiences here with several physicians. Most of your face time here is with physician assistants. When a doctor experiences significant tactile resistance during an injection and openly admits a lesion isn't behaving like a typical cyst, shifting to a passive "wait-and-see" approach without looking at your historical imaging is simply a contradiction in clinical logic. Calling that out isn't about being confrontational; it is about recognizing that your intuition was right, your questions are valid. Dr. Billings operates a medical mill. I came to see Dr Billings (incidentally CEO of Pasadena Orthopedics) for a thumb lesion xrayed 5 years ago and never biopsied. She injected my thumb without so much as objectively establishing if the lesion was solid or cystic. She told me with utmost confidence that I have a cyst. She suddenly revised her diagnosis while in the midst of obviously struggling to inject the lesion with steroids. She wanted to move fast because volume means Benjamins $. I walked in with little to no pain, and walked out unable to fully flex or extend my thumb without pain. The office then gave me the run around for a simple imaging request after the pain progressively worsened and insinuated that the response to my injection in 6 weeks is "diagnostic." No rationale was offered. Billings tried to pivot with, "let's see if we get a treatment response." Truth is, she realized unnecessary needle trauma would have to be healed from forcefully trying to inject steroids (liquid) in something with the density of an eraser (before imaging could become meaningful). I offered to show them prior imaging, but they were too busy churning out patients. I came here for diagnostic clarity, not to sit around for 2 hours and be provided substandard care. The audacity of trying to pass it off as, "let's wait to see if the treatment responds" (damn well knowing it's not behaving like a cyst and forcing fluid in a solid mass in a patient's thumb). Come on now.

At the ripe age of 27, I definitely stood out from other patients in the waiting room. I finally get called back after waiting 30 mins, they did not take my vitals or weight, sat me in the exam room. The nurse was nice. I gave her the CD of my MRI and she got it ready for the doctor. Dr came into the room and asked why I am here- He never even closed the door. I told him my GP reported 3 herniations in my spine via MRI. He quickly skims through the pictures and LAUGHS, says "actually, you have 2". I told him I have been dealing with the pain for over 6 months, barely able to work enough to pay rent. He then starts drumming up and down my back asking "does this hurt?" "Yes! that hurts!" "it shouldn't hurt" He began hitting me harder, I pushed his hand away. He LAUGHS and tells me I shouldn't be in much pain from herniated discs in my lumbar spine and I should probably up my anti depressants. I said "please don't laugh at me and please don't make that lazy excuse. Can I please have an RX for the pain?" He told me he doesn't know me so he would not give me any perscription. I am not joking when I say this man LAUGHED at me the entire appointment with the DOOR OPEN. My girlfriend intervened and explained my job is labor intensive, I have an autoimmune condition and I have been suffering. "I am not a carpenter, I can't fix everything. You need a whole team of doctors for your issues". Which is ironic because I am a professional carpenter and would never talk to my client/coworker/designer/students the way he talked to me. He said he would order me physical therapy but that is all, and he never turned in the papers for it. After seeing another doctor, they told me you can't see MRI clearly on a CD file and it should be digitally sent for correct results... so to sum it up, Dr.Pak literally does not care. He is the embodiment of what is wrong with USA healthcare- showing up for a paycheck, not to help people. I wish I could get a refund for the copay, emotional toll and hour drive I made to see Dr. Pak laugh in my face.

I came in with with lower back pain that has been hurting for three months, really hoping he would be able to offer some insight on what was causing me such discomfort. He sat with me for 5 mns in total, his back turned to me as he looked at my x-ray, took no time to ask any questions about my overall health/level of activity/what kind of pain I had and how it had come about. Dismissed me after those 5mns with a clipboard and sent me off. It was an incredibly frustrating, humiliating and rude visit and I've been left wondering why would someone do that job if they cared so little about helping their patients heal. I would absolutely recommend you do not see this Dr if you expect your practitioner to actually know anything about their field and care about their patients

Before my appointment, both the office and Aetna confirmed that Dr. Costigan was in-network. However, I repeatedly received out-of-network bills after visits in November 2025, January 2026, and February 2026. Each time, I had to spend considerable time working with Aetna to have the claims reviewed and corrected. Aetna advised me that there appeared to be issues with how the office was being billed in their system. On February 10, 2026, I received an epidural injection. Unfortunately, I experienced significant side effects and did not receive any meaningful pain relief. Because of the ongoing billing confusion, I filed a complaint with HICAP for assistance. Based on my experience, I recommend that Medicare patients carefully verify network status and billing arrangements before treatment. This review reflects my personal experience.
