I have been coming to Health Strong for a while now and they are fantastic at what they do. Staff and Doctors The staff and doctors are friendly, helpful, and considerate. Whenever I have any concerns they always answer my questions in a professional manner. They are accommodating to my needs; even if I have to cancel an appointment close to when I have to go in. I have never had a bad experience with the people that work here. Care Since coming here I have had less lower back and hip pain. My posture has also improved. Generally Now, I have been coming here for years, but that is because Dr. Bernath and Dr. Walker do not want to merely manage my pain, but make my back healthy by correcting it. My mom found HealthStrong in Chino through Facebook, and in our experience this place felt more like a high pressure sales operation than a chiropractic office. The visit quickly turned into a push for an expensive treatment plan that was around $4,000, no matter what your injury or issue is. What really bothered us was the pressure tactics. She was guilt tripped, rushed, and discouraged from calling a family member to talk it over. They also didn't want clients talking to each other in the waiting area, which felt really uncomfortable. Once we declined their offer the attitude completely changed and the treatment became cold and dismissive. I would not recommend sending your parents or older family members here alone, especially if they're not comfortable dealing with aggressive sales pressure. Review of HealthStrong Chiropractic - Chino, CA My father, a retired veteran living with PTSD, and back pain had one of the most distressing and dehumanizing experiences at this so-called clinic. When he arrived, the atmosphere was already unsettling. The office was dark and dimly lit, with loud music blasting through the facility -- nothing like a medical clinic should feel, more like a bar and grill on Friday night. But what really stood out was what happened in the waiting area. As he checked in, another woman -- "Mrs. Gonzalez" -- arrived right at the same time. Staff immediately greeted her by name, ushered her ahead of and in front of him, they began speaking loudly as though on cue. From inside a nearby exam room, she gushed about how wonderful the doctor was, how she referred a friend, and doctor replying "he's not the cheapest, but he gets the best results." The patient and doctor carried the conversation loudly enough that my father could clearly hear every word while he sat waiting. It was staged -- a poor performance at that, designed to influence the next patient...him. For my father, with his background in military intelligence, it was so obvious: this was a sales tactic, not authentic patient care. He used what they call a "shill" An accomplice who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others. Scam in effect. It was probably the doctors Mom! That "show" was the precursor to prime him for his $59 consult when they would tell him his insurance doesn't cover their services. Already uneasy from the environment and the sense of manipulation, my father spiraled into an anxiety attack when left in the exam room. Who gives health consultation in a dimly lit room with party music playing loud? How effective is it to try to listen to a doctor or nurse while their talking over loud club music? My father left the room, explained to the receptionist that he had PTSD and couldn't tolerate the dim lighting and loud music, and told her he needed to leave. Instead of showing compassion, no one offered him comfort, reassurance, or even the dignity of concern. He quickly went outside waited, trying to catch his breath outside their door, alone and shaken, the receptionist opens the door and simply says "they'll text you a refund" and shut the door. He stumbled to his car, broke down sobbing inside, he sat there trying to get himself together-- while inside his vehicle, not a single person came to check if he was alright or even safe to drive. Instead, the receptionist moments later called his cell with a cold, cheerful corporate voice: "We just processed your refund. Thank you have a great day." For a veteran who sacrificed for this country, to be left abandoned in distress like that is unforgivable. No clinic rooted in true medical ethics would allow a man to leave in that condition without even checking on him. His mental health isn't their responsibility, but who let's another person walk out in such distress without any concerns? HealthStrong Chiropractic is not a medical establishment. It is a high-pressure sales operation, and it showed no regard for the well-being of a vulnerable person in crisis. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I came here to treat my back after a car accident. The first visit is around 50, with an X-ray and a consultation. Then you have a treatment plan and an option to pay in full with discount. Mine is a three months plan with two visits per week, so the cost for each visit is reasonable. Dr Bernath is experienced and skillful, and other staff are nice. He did different things over the treatment period. He also recommended different stretching exercises over time as needed. After the treatment, I got a post X-ray and could see my progress in real. My back is fixed and I feel great. This place is excellent and amazing. Definitely recommend this place for people with back problems. read more

I took my Mom to this doctor to see if he could help her, and 1st off he isn't about "patient" care what so ever, he is COMPLETELY ABOUT THE MONEY, he has no sympathy for being a so called "Doctor," 1st off they have you pay $27 for you to be rushed and sent off with no consultation just to do X-rays, he then says "come back tomorrow at 5pm" so we did got there around 4:57pm to be called in and wait till after 6pm for him to say to my mom "your at phase 3, I am sure I can get you walking in 5 months, but it will cost you almost $5000, just pay me $698 a month or almost $3000 today !" I stated to him that mom is on a fixed income of SSI, and he was like "take it or leave it!" Mind you my mom has Medi/Medí and I know for a fact they pay Chiro Benefits his response was "they don't pay much" so basically "I will take it out of you!" And to top it off his office staff did most of the talking not him, I would not recommend this office to ANYONE , save your $27 and go with a physician that has a HEART for what he/she does not to make someone walk out feeling worse emotionally! Thought it would be a good visit but after checking with Insurance to ensure Services will be covered I came in and staff had no file/office appeared more like Living Room. Had to take Xrays at another Location (paper had no directions) had to call to get directions. Came in for appt. (2nd visit) and DC Bernath went over a costly game plan. Was not adjusted and walked out with no service. Come to find out they do not cover my Insurance and should have said so from the beginning. Attention public, whatever you do please do NOT go to this Chiropractor. He will make everything sound formal and make you believe you will walk out of the office, problem free. He will make the "plan of action" sound like something revolutionary that no one has access to. All of this is false, after I decided to pay the entire bill upfront. I saw this chiropractor the first two to three weeks. After that, I was seen by one of his nurses. The "therapist" that should have helped with stretching probably weighed less than 110 and had no strength to stretch my leg at all. I walk out if his office today, about 4 months with absolutely NO improvement whatsoever. They didn't even do the follow up XRay to note the so called "improvement". I was told the doctor sees no need to do xrays again. I wasted my money, my time, my gas, and have absolutely nothing to show for it. My back still hurts and my leg is still numb. DO NOT GO HERE! My mom first went in due to her sciatic nerve, walked in with her own MRI medical records and they never bothered to look at them. Yes they took X-rays there and according to them if she toon the treatment they guaranteed 96% chances of her getting better. Treatment cost $3k... When she went to her first therapy she came home with excruciating pain. She brought it their attention a couple times and all they said was " Give it time" " The pain is because of the therapy" today 7/09/19 was her last session..oh wait nvm they denied the services.. because according to the Dr his exact words were "you want this therapy to work instantly" my mom was aware of the treatment not working over night. All she wanted to know was why she was feeling worse day by day. Keep in mind she's a 65 year old women & doesn't speak English. They totally take advantage they don't want to help they just want to take your money. Yesterday 7/08 she came home and slept for 4 hours after her therapy because she couldn't stand up from the pain. I'm a witness that she was not this bad before she went to this place. If i could give this place a zero star it would be amazing. I came in to this place because i had numb and pain in my leg. They never ever ever did x ray on my leg or ever checked anything in my leg. They kept on bullshitting me that it had to do with my back that i needed treatment for my back and as soon as i started my therapy it would eventually lead to my leg problem to go away. So there i go believing them paying about $3000 for a treatment that was suppose to help. Every time i would go in for therapy something else would start to hurt i would let them know and their response was to give it time give it time. So i gave it time but my leg problem eventually became my leg problem plus shoulder add my back and the cherry on top my sciatic nerve whom never in my life bothered me. All they said give it time and give therapy a chance. One day i came in with the most excruciating pain ever pretty much throughout my whole body and I was denied service because according to them my treatment was officially over than in fact they had gave me an extra day and if i needed more treatment that it would be another $3000. I said every time you would ask if i felt better i always said no and instead of trying to solve my issue all you guys said give it time and you should be better soon. Well that day never came in fact i left that place a thousand times worse than when i first came in. Everything felt so rushed so unprofessional and a completely waste of money. I regret every single time i went there i regret trusting them. Do not go there people go anywhere else but there. I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I feel I had to. I'd been suffering with upper back and neck pain for about 3 years. I'd been to several other doctors as well as several chiropractors. It seemed like I either got drugged or only got temporary relief at best. It always came back and it was always worse each time. I was at the end of my rope. That is until a friend told me about Dr. Bernath and what he does. They are in a word, AMAZING! Dr. Bernath and his staff are different for a number of reasons. First off, they LISTEN to you. They care about why and how your problem is affecting you. Second, their main goal is to find out WHY you got that problem and how to get rid of it, not just help you live with it. They did a thorough work up on me and showed me exactly why I had this problem. Then, instead of covering it up with meds, they told me exactly what I needed from them to fix it. Over the next 3 months they walked me through a treatment plan and even gave me instructions for stuff to do after my visits at home that have worked miracles. Now, they see me a couple times a month and it's helping me maintain my improvement. The treatment plan was super easy and affordable. They provided everything I needed and took the time to treat me as an individual. Can't say enough about this team. Thanks to them my daily grinding upper back pain is completely gone and I've even improved the damage it had done to my spine !
