Fair. The hostess then continued to tell us there was no room for us. Questionable. Lastly, she emphasized that the prices were too high and we should visit another restaurant up the road where the prices were less extravagant. That's where I have a problem as she insinuated that we - an African American Male, Dominican Male and Mexican Woman - working professionals - could not afford to eat here. We knew what was on the menu, that's why we came. If it weren't for this experience I would have just left and let it go, but the lack of tact and respect merits a bad review. Management needs to read this and address the hostess. Thank you.

It is a small restaurant in a unassuming building but the wait staff and chef were on point! We started with an arugula salad, which was probably the best salad I have ever had, and the fried ossa buco ravioli which was excellent too. I would probably choose a direct dough than a wonton wrapped but the flavor was awesome. My wife had the cod/shrimp/mussel dish which had the most flavorful sauce (made me jealous of her dish). I had the seafood pasta. I would highly HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. This is on the favorite restaurant list now!

My husband got the short rib for dinner and I got the three cheese gnocchi. Both were outstanding. For dessert, my husband got cheesecake and I got a coffee. Arancini were excellent, I personally felt a little more pomodoro would be nice, but is not necessary since the arancini have good flavor and seem to be super popular by the sheer amount of them coming out of the kitchen. The pesto balanced the arancini well. The Brussels are good, a little under seasoned (I did not taste hot honey nor the yuzu aioli on any of the pieces I tried) but cooked well and the pecorino is lovely shaved. My meal, agnolotti piedmontese, was excellent. The beef inside was so tender, pasta cooked well, and the butter and cheese, finished with a potato crumb, was absolutely stunning. My husband had the pollo trevisano. The chicken was ok, was pretty bland, the only seasoning being salt, which came from the prosciutto, and the butter herb sauce, which seemed to lack any real depth. The mash was excellent. Also came with some broccolini on the side which was cooked perfectly. My grandmother got the octopus appetizer for her meal. The octopus leg was chewy/overcooked. On the flip side, the potatoes with bacon were delicious. The arugula was well flavored. Overall was the most disappointing part of the meal, barely ate the octopus that she was so excited for. My grandfather got an excellent rigatoni dish that I cannot recall the name of, and their website is currently not up to date with what their in house menu is so I do not know the name. I did not try it myself but It has veal, and either kale/cabbage leaves or some interestingly large spinach, as well as a delicious sauce. The veal was amazing, he raved about it endlessly and shared that dish with my grandmother. To end our meals, my grandparents split an Affogato, and I got a coconut and banana panna cotta. My husband was full from dinner and did not indulge on dessert. Service: 5/5 Between our server and the other staff keeping our drinks full, table bussed and reset, and the timely service, it was an excellent occasion. Our server did an awesome job checking on refills of wine. Ambiance: 5/5 Absolutely adorable corner location right on Erie and Howard. They have awesome seating, tables, and lighting. The tvs play old sitcoms. There are umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, that may seem silly at first, but seem to divert the AC/heating from blowing directly on their customers, which is a lovely touch. I've never seen any other restaurant do something like that to keep their customers comfortable, I applaud it. Overall, a great experience with decent food. If we decide to venture back, we will have to try the pizza, get some more arancini, and try some other dishes.

If you're going to…read moreaccidentally cross an international border, landing next to a poutinery isn't the worst. Frenchy's sits in a shopping center anchored by a Shoppers Drug Mart and a "Gaming Center" (aka casino). Walking up to the counter, I immediately noticed the lineup of meat choices and toppings. It's the kind of menu that makes you pause for a second, not because it's complicated, but because everything looks like a good idea. All sorts of protein options from Chicken to "Montreal Smoked Meat". I got the Gyro. Ordering was quick, and the food came out fast and fresh. The gravy was the standout. This wasn't that fast‑food slop. It was beefy, rich, the kind of gravy that actually tastes like something. Combined with the cheese curds and toppings, it made for a proper Canadian comfort‑food moment. And the portions? Massive. The kind of serving that makes you wonder if you accidentally ordered for two. Frenchy's is definitely playing in the "feed the masses" category, and they're doing it well. I took half my order back across the border for later. Bottom line: If you find yourself wandering into Windsor, intentionally or not, Frenchy's is a worthy stop for that authentic Pountne cuisine.

There are other businesses nearby, but street parking was free and relatively easy to come by. It's a fast-casual concept place, where you order at the counter then go sit. Not a large restaurant, but maybe room for 20ppl at about 5 tables. I ordered a half sandwich, half salad combo which also comes with a small side (soup or fries). This lunch combo was the most popular option amongst my party and made for a nice balanced meal with everything you could want to taste. The menu is a little heavy on the meat options with just a few select vegetarian items - but as the name Carvery indicades, this is a meat-centric place. Overall I'm giving the food a 10 out of 10. The sandwiches were well made and better than anything you could find at a chain fast-casual restaurant. The sweet potato soup was delicious and well presented. The arnold-palmer lemonade tea combo was great. The "hot bacon" dressing on my salad was indeed hot and made with real bacon. I shouldn't have been surprised - but I was. What a great twist on salad dressing. I'd definitely come back here to try more of the menu. It was all delicious.

After peering in and seeing people in there I realized that it was still open for business! The menu is entirely on the wall and you order and pay at the cash. Lots of combo options including whole or half sandwiches plus soup and/salad combos. Unfortunately all combos came with a drink and I would have preferred just tap water and maybe a slightly lower price. I got whole chicken sandwich plus garden salad and a Diet Pepsi for about $20. Feels a bit pricey for Windsor. Sandwich wasn't bad but a bit too much bread for me. I could have been fine with smaller surface area but piled up a tad thicker. Chicken was moist and sauce and the cheese and roasted peppers went well with it. Salad was fine except the balsamic was overpowering. Flavour was too strong or maybe there was just too much dressing. I wasn't floored but it was ok. I'd go back to try a different flavour.

We only waited about ten minutes before we were given a table, as we were a party of seven, and a table needed to be prepared for us. We were seated near a table that was quite large, as they were celebrating a special occasion therefore, it was a tad loud in the area. We were then greeted by our server, whom, despite the noise, was pleasant and friendly, even making a slight nod to the noise level, and apologizing for not being heard. Once we had placed our orders, we were then brought our drinks, and a complimentary basket of bread, which was delicious. We waited about fifteen minutes for our main dishes to arrive, at which point, we were excited to receive. I had ordered the pizza with vegan cheese and pepperoni on it; and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it tasted! I loved how the pepperoni was sliced, and how thick and luscious the pizza tasted. One of the best pizza dishes I had ever tasted! Throughout the meal, our server came to check-on us frequently, making sure that we were enjoying our time. Eventually, the noise level returned to a more acceptable rate, and we were able to hear each other better. Overall, I was really impressed with how amazing this place was; excellent food, wonderful service, and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience in Windsor!

Got home and was really disappointed in the pizza. mediums were more like small and the slices were cut extremely small. The taste was ok but the crust was not to my liking. I was hoping this was the place but it turned out to be overpriced and uninspiring. Closer to Little Ceasars than NJ pizza. side note: the place was very busy which is usually a good sign the food is very good....but looks can be deceiving.
