I decided on a small Açaí Bowl with strawberries, banana, granola and coconut shreds topped with Nutella and it was very good. I literally ate the entire bowl lol. My mom ordered a similar bowl but included peanut butter on hers. This was her first time ever trying an Acai bowl and she loved it. The staff were super friendly and the shop is very cute. It was clear that the interaction was routine, but she had no problem giving him something to eat and it made me so joyous to see such a charitable thing. She also spoke to him like a person, not as someone that would be less because he has less. Clearly this place is run by a good person too. I have to say everything was super delicious very generous, considering the price and because there was a promotion it was really very generous. Most visits take far too long, especially if there is more than one customer. The employees act as though they believe that the customers have unlimited time so they will chit chat or lallygag. This is a service based business so there needs to be a balance between "friendliness" and timeliness. I realize it's not a fast food joint but no one wants to wait 10-15 minutes for a smoothie or to simply pay for stocked items. This is the reason I don't shop here frequently anymore.
