My first time to this place and it was a great experience! It's in the middle of the Deer Park Mall! You have to go to the back of the restaurant and place your order! You can also order online and the pick up area is in the back! They really have the place secure....meaning when your order is ready, it is placed on the shelf right at the door with your name on it in a paper bag! You can't even enter the restaurant because as soon as you open the back door, the free standing shelf is right there blocking the entrance! The menu is printed on a two sided piece of cardboard, one side, you can build your own poke bowl or burrito and the other side has the house creations! I chose to build your own bowl, it is self explanatory and easy to follow! My husband had the build your own burrito! My large poke bowl was very fresh and tasty! It was plenty to save for another meal! I definitely would go back!

Nice place to chill and have refreshing drinks. They have food options too but we tried only the Boba teas. The flavors for both the tea were really good. Honestly i am not able to find very good boba tea places in and around Chicago or may be i am very picky but this seems a decent place. In on of our drinks they did not put ice and it was warm. That was big negligence on their part as how could they forget to put ice in 90F weather outside. I think i am gonna come back here to try their food options.

Decent poke for the price and portion. Ramen was average, not great. Plenty of ingredients!

Nice little place. We ordered poke bowl and it's super fresh and flavorful. Ramen broth is nice but overall I'd say maybe average - nothing special worth highlighting but still not bad. Price is a bit higher compared to other local options. But glad it's here and available if you have a craving for poke.

Poke H1. Jimmy's Creation Bowl - large size to share with a friend

My first time here for lunch wIth a friend and I'm a fan! I had the Tonkatsu ramen ($13), split a Large Jimmy's Creation Poke Bowl ($14) and had smoothie (Pineapple Mango, my favorite) with Popping Boba ($5.50). My friend had the same ramen and another milk tea. We decided to share the large Poke Bowl so we split the bill. Still it came out to be almost $28 per person after tax so it was not the cheapest lunch but I suppose we did have 1.5 entree between us Taste-wise I have no complaints. The ramen was very flavorful, on point and had a good amount of ingredients and ramen noodle ratio. I like that the price included the egg as some places have that as an extra add-on. The Poke bowl was excellent. I could taste everything and can tell they had fresh ingredients including the most delicious avocados. It was so good I was craving Poke again the next day but this place was not too close to me or else I would have made that happened. The smoothie was good as well. My favorite go-to has been Pineapple-Mango. I had it with Popping boba. But overall, the price is a bit more expensive by a couple of dollars across the board. Otherwise, everything else is pretty perfect, it was clean, and they have cute and trendy decor. I will definitely be back!

Enjoyable poke bowl at reasonable prices. The portion size is pretty generous when you go for a large (enough to really feed 2 people), though it's a little more expensive than some other local options. I thought all the ingredients in the bowl were of good quality and the different elements really kept their distinct textures (cucumbers crispy, crunchy elements were still crunchy, fruit was firm, etc.). The fish inside was of fairly good quality. A nice fattier cut of the meat, though not the best fish I've ever had in a poke bowl. The amount of protein provided was pretty good, though once again not the most or least. If I am in the area again, I would definitely order another bowl if I had a craving for poke.

We came here on a Saturday at noon for lunch. We ordered two build your own pokey bowls, and one Raman. It was all fantastic! I would highly recommend coming here for dine in or take out. Super cute seating if you want to eat in.

It's a cute little restaurant in Deer Park mall that has very interesting options of the poke bowl. The service was very quick and the quality of the food was excellent. Highly recommend especially during the summer.

I had the Build Your Own Bowl and was impressed by the amount of choices available. You get 3 proteins (I did cooked shrimp, marinated salmon, and spicy tuna). It all tasted good, and the spicy tuna is pretty much a large smattering of tuna mash and not in defined chunks for anyone wondering. There's a million toppings and the japanese pickle oshinko and crunch onion toppings stood out the most. The portion for a medium bowl is sizeable, and they pack it well & dense. definitely ordering again!

I've been wanting to try this place for some time, so I was excited when I had a free afternoon to do so. I know because of COVID a lot of businesses are trying to figure things out, but with that being said, there is definitely room for improvement here. I walked up to place an order for takeout, but I found out that you can only place online orders. I'll admit that this made me a little aggravated, because I was already there, but now I had to wait an additional 30 minutes by placing an online order. Again, though, I was willing to wait because of everything going on with COVID. I ordered a mango bubble tea and their "Salmon Lover" burrito with seaweed paper. With tip and tax it came to a little over $22.00. A bit of a steep price, but not unreasonable. Once I got home, I unpacked my lunch. The bubble tea was unfortunately watered down, which tells me it was sitting there for a while. It still have flavored, but the ice didn't help it. The burrito was hefty, so it was nice to see they did not skimp on ingredients. However, after peeling the paper back to take my first bite, I noticed that the seaweed did not go all the way around the burrito. Due to this my burrito fell apart immediately after the first bite. Thankfully the restaurant included a fork. While the salmon was good, as were the other ingredients, they were hidden underneath the copious amount of poke sauce. There was way too much, and it just made things messier than needed. Overall, you definitely get your money's worth, but the execution of this meal lacked. I do want to try it again, as I am hoping the next time will be better, and the flavors were good.

large loaded Poke bowl for me and smaller one for my daughter, good stuff!!!

We walked into a casual, cozy space with a smaller dining area that can feel busy during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays simple and focused on the food rather than a polished dining experience. The setup works well for a place centered around a warm bowl of noodles, where the attention stays on what is in the bowl rather than what is on the walls. The ramen is the main reason to visit, especially the signature Kitakata-style noodles. The noodles have a thicker, springy texture that gives each bowl a satisfying bite, and the broths are where the restaurant stands out. We tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, which brought a deeper, richer flavor with a noticeable kick, and the Green Chili Shio Ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful option with a cleaner broth profile. The balance between the noodles, broth, and toppings made the bowls feel thoughtfully put together rather than just another standard ramen option. The toppings were generous and the eggs were cooked well, adding a creamy richness that tied the bowl together. Beyond ramen, the sides are worth adding to the meal. We ordered the pan-fried gyoza, which came out with a crisp exterior and a juicy filling, making it one of the stronger starters to share. The karaage also added variety if you want something beyond noodles, with a crispy coating that held up without being greasy. The menu has enough options for different preferences, including vegetarian ramen choices that do not feel like an afterthought. Because of its popularity, waits can happen, especially during dinner hours and weekends. Joining the waitlist ahead of time is a good idea if you are planning around a specific schedule. The restaurant moves with a steady pace once seated, and the service generally matches the casual style of the space. The staff handle the flow efficiently, and even when the dining room is full, the pace of the meal stays comfortable without feeling rushed. Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai is a strong ramen destination for anyone looking for flavorful broths, well-textured noodles, and comforting Japanese dishes. The spicy ramen options and pan-fried gyoza are highlights, making it a place worth visiting when you want a satisfying bowl rather than just a quick noodle stop. The quality of the broth and the texture of the noodles make it a step above the average ramen spot, delivering a meal that feels complete and well considered.

My family and I had been wanting to go to this location for a while and a recent weeknight presented a perfect opportunity to check out this establishment. Located in a small plaza in front of the Westin hotel, this Chicago Ramen is a nice little spot for grabbing a delicious bowl (or two) of ramen. Upon our arrival, we were seated promptly. Our friendly server provided the menus and shortly after was ready to take our order; however, we were not ready yet and took a bit longer to order. The menu was a condensed version of what I have seen at the Des Plaines location. There were six Ramen options, a handful of appetizers, extra toppings options, and beverage options. Also, there was a Ramen special menu and a Kids menu. A few minutes later, we placed our order of 1) Edamame, 1) Karage, 2) Shrimp Wonton Ramen, and 1) White Miso Ramen. The apps of Edamame and Karage came out soon and the ramen bowls followed shortly. The Karage were freshly cooked. The Karage were chunky, meaty and plump chicken nuggets. The meat was juicy and tender, and they were lightly battered. The flavor was decent and the texture was okay. I felt that a bit more frying would have helped it taste better. My Shrimp Wonton Ramen was the start dish for me. It was everything I wanted as far as the flavor of the broth and the texture of the noodles, shrimp, and wonton were concerned. The broth was hot and fresh. It had a nice savory flavor and I added some of the table side condiments for extra umami and spicy taste. The noodles were of the right texture where they had body and good slurp-a-bility factor without being soggy and sloppy. The White Miso Ramen was a nice creamy and rich broth that came loaded w/ cuts of pork that were tender. It was also delicious. I enjoyed my bowl of ramen a lot and managed to finish it instead of having leftovers. It hit the spot perfectly. We had a good experience and would go back. If you haven't been to this spot, then definitely check them out.
