I found a lot of the collectibles to be interesting and even considered buying several things. I ended up buying a shot glass, a pair of earrings and small paperweight, all to be used as gifts. The earrings were handmade by (if I recall) a local artist and the other two said the city's name. When I was there, a single employee was working. She was an older woman who was very nice to speak to. Another gentleman stopped in and I wasn't sure if he worked there or was buying something, but in either case, my impression of the people of Wrightwood was even better while driving out of the parking lot than it was when I entered. 5 out of 5 stars. And if the woman who was working there reads this, I might be back to buy the thing I was asking about so don't sell the thing before I can return to buy the thing.

It is a walk, however, to the museum from the parking areas. The entry fee is donation based and a minimum of 5$ is suggested. The museum has art from their permanent collections which includes antiquities and contemporary art. They offer new exhibits quite a bit so if yo have something particular in mind, give them a call. They also have solo installations by contemporary artists. This is the best museum in San Bernardino. If you like art you will enjoy this place. Have fun.

For the store itself: I was greeted right away and the sales associate (forgive me, I do not remember her name at the moment) made herself available for questions. Think of this store like a mini-locally-owned Hobby Lobby or Michael's (knick-knacks, seasonal decor, decor accents for the kitchen, living room, den, yard, etc.). Everything was organized, displays were easy to maneuver around (explored this store while wearing my napping 10-month old so ease of being able to move in a store while babywearing is a priority!) So yes I am impressed and will return again. If you need a gift or a craft I would recommend this place, especially if the larger craft stores are intimidating, your first time in a craft store and don't want to be overwhelmed, or are just curious--like I was). I came in an hour before closing, so I don't want to complain that no one was working that particular counter. To me, it made sense that if it was slow, people were probably sent home. But then here comes Madeline to the rescue! I think she goes by Maddy? She handled my exchange with so much patience and grace. I was exchanging a lip combo for my sister. So there was a lot of back and forth between sending colors to my sister, and waiting for her to respond with whether or not she liked it. Maddy was SO patient with us! She was engaging, charismatic, and friendly. Her service felt genuine and warm. We found the perfect combo for my sister that she's been wearing to every outing since! I've always shopped at Macy's since they have come to California and I am now 71 so it's been a…read morelong time. The brands and selection are always there. Last weekend my husband and I came in to look at mattresses. We had been to other stores to browse but Macys was on the list as we've bought mattresses and furniture from them before. In the home store Mustafa a wonderful gentleman helped us pick out two queen sets. One for my room and one for the guest room. I'm adding our salesman's associate #71942805. This man was so knowledgeable about all the brands and understood exactly what my husband and I were looking for. I'm so happy that Mustafa was working at the time. I truly believe he was the reason we made our choice to buy our bedding there. He had wonderful customer service and should be a role model for all the other employees.
