I had a truly terrible experience with this doctor. He was condescending and dismissive about many…read moreof my concerns, including with respect to conditions for which I have received a prior diagnosis. He routinely failed to have my Rx's filled unless I followed up with him multiple times - I've never had this issue with a doctor. On one occasion, his failure to timely call-in my Rx resulted in my having to wait 45 days to have it refilled due to a nationwide shortage (the pharmacy confirmed that had he called it in on-time, I would have had no issue). The last straw occurred most recently, in which it took 7 days after an appointment for him to call in the Rx for a medicine (for which lack of access could be life-threatening), despite following up with his office 3 times and them failing to call me back after saying they would. It wasn't until I stopped by in person that he finally filled the Rx. This office was an absolute nightmare.

Made an appointment with Dr.Dent to have an ear exam for a possible middle ear infection. While on the phone with the receptionist to inquire about this type of exam I was informed the fee would "range" and "fluctuate" depending on the service and could be up to $622 but I would be totally "satisfied" with the service provided. The initial consultation for new clients by the way is $289, regardless of what service you receive that's the standard appointment fee for out-of-pocket visits. Went in for the appointment ( which took only 20 minutes by the way ), Dr.Dent seemed nice enough, scoped my ear canals (quickly), and confirmed it wasn't an ear infection, and sent me on my way. The whole process felt a tad transactional... less about finding answers and more about moving on to the next patient. I guess that's just the standard with most medical practices nowadays. At the front desk, I was billed the full $622. For a 20 minute exam! I paid the bill and went home feeling a bit swindled. Still shocked by the pricing, I called back the next day to ask for a breakdown. $289 for the new patient fee. $333 for the scope. A play on numbers to say the least. Other ear practices charge $150-200 MAX for this type of exam... When on the phone with the receptionist, I was told maybe Dr.Dent would help with a reduction due to the current financial times... Unfortunately this was not the case, I was forwarded to their financial office who basically dismissed my request for assistance and told me the fees are set as they are and there's nothing they can do to help... nothing at all, not even a reduction in the fee despite me being NOT satisfied with the service. Honestly, so disheartened by this practice, not just for the higher than standard pricing, but for the lack of heart in general. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I only met Dr Cueva once, she wasn't my typical doctor but on short notice she was the soonest available. I came in for abdominal pain and potentially a UTI. While I waited undressed Dr. Cueva flung the exam room door open without knocking which was the first major red flag. She started to ask me a series of questions regarding my symptoms and then asked a few regarding my mental health. I figured it was routine for visits. She asked about family history, if I ever experienced depression/anxiety/mood swings. Somehow a visit that was meant for abdominal pain turned into a bipolar diagnosis. Mind you I never met this woman prior and she solely went off the fact that I experienced anxiety/depression and I have family with potential bipolar. She also asked about my sibling, said there's a strong possibility he struggles with it too and was sympathizing for him despite having zero information to go off of. My brother assaulted me growing up so you can only imagine how upsetting this was. After she left me with a form for a mental health assessment I hit my limit and asked for a medical director. Nothing happened. No follow up. As a matter of fact 6 months to a year later I walk into the office and see she's been awarded for some sort of "Physician of the year" by greybill. Absolutely disgusting. If it weren't for Dr Luu I would have left a long time ago.

She is so sweet and kind. The nurse that helped me before the doctor came in, I believe her name was Daisy (I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not) was EXCELLENT! She made me feel so comfortable and safe. I've had bad experiences at doctor's offices from a child to adult, so my fear of them causes me to have major anxiety before any appointment. But after speaking with not only Daisy & Dr Chang, but the front desk women too, I felt so at ease! Since I was a new patient I did have to call prior to get set up, which was a quick and easy process with whomever the man was that helped me. The inside of the building is big & extremely clean with plenty of seating. I would recommend this office to anyone, & definitely recommend Dr Nancy Chang & her staff!
