You have to purchase the heating sids prior to trying them. I don't know what I received, but my husband says they are a silk, rechargeable in the ear type. Walter wasn't very friendly in a rush and explained next to nothing to myself and husband. It is very frustrating that Walter has 2 offices. When you call there is no immediate response. I have had a lot of trouble with his hearing aids not fitting properly and the hearing experience is far from perfect. I feel he has stretched himself too thin to offer adequate service to all customers in both offices. The receptionist is so so and not on top of her job either. Whole ordeal is very frustrating!!

Made an appointment with Dr.Dent to have an ear exam for a possible middle ear infection. While on the phone with the receptionist to inquire about this type of exam I was informed the fee would "range" and "fluctuate" depending on the service and could be up to $622 but I would be totally "satisfied" with the service provided. The initial consultation for new clients by the way is $289, regardless of what service you receive that's the standard appointment fee for out-of-pocket visits. Went in for the appointment ( which took only 20 minutes by the way ), Dr.Dent seemed nice enough, scoped my ear canals (quickly), and confirmed it wasn't an ear infection, and sent me on my way. The whole process felt a tad transactional... less about finding answers and more about moving on to the next patient. I guess that's just the standard with most medical practices nowadays. At the front desk, I was billed the full $622. For a 20 minute exam! I paid the bill and went home feeling a bit swindled. Still shocked by the pricing, I called back the next day to ask for a breakdown. $289 for the new patient fee. $333 for the scope. A play on numbers to say the least. Other ear practices charge $150-200 MAX for this type of exam... When on the phone with the receptionist, I was told maybe Dr.Dent would help with a reduction due to the current financial times... Unfortunately this was not the case, I was forwarded to their financial office who basically dismissed my request for assistance and told me the fees are set as they are and there's nothing they can do to help... nothing at all, not even a reduction in the fee despite me being NOT satisfied with the service. Honestly, so disheartened by this practice, not just for the higher than standard pricing, but for the lack of heart in general. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I got a call yesterday saying my dads hearing aids had been paired and I coud pick them up today . I asked what time they would be open and was told 9am. After driving 15 minutes and sitting in lines of cars through 10 traffic signals on El Camino Real, I pulled into a space in front at 10:15, The door was locked and no one was there. Either they are so busy they are running staff from one location to another or they can't keep their hours straight. My advice DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. CALL BEFORE YOU LEAVE. THEY ARE NOT IN THE CARLSBAD OFFICE ON FRIDAYS. IT'S THURSDAY. MY DAD WILL BE WITHOUT HIS HEARING AIDS UNTIL SOMETIME NEXT WEEK.

He told me to see an ENT to have the wax removed. It was a BIG hunk of wax, but it popped out easily. When I came for my rescheduled appointment, there was Chris, all smiles as if nothing had happened. The test showed my hearing continues to fail so both were were reset upwards. If you want a competent audiology test and recommendations for a fair priced hearing aid, this is likely not the place. That said, I'm sure the audiology test is competent but they have several flat fee plans. The first tier offered to me was an $8,000 flat fee. It ties you to them for a number of years, likely yearly tests and they clean the hearing aids. The lowest tier is $3,000 flat fee which commits you to them for a year I believe and offers you a selection of refurbished hearing aids donated by other patients. For the right person with cash to burn this might be perfect. However, it's not what I want nor need. The above is my impression after visiting their offices and speaking with the person handling reception. Apparently she also does the audiology tests. Not certain if she's a receptionist or an audiologist. I did not ask.

I was having some difficulty after ear surgery, and he generously made time to see me on several occasions to make sure my hearing aid was calibrated to my new hearing levels. He takes the time and explains well the process and desired outcome, he is available to answer or direct questions to get the help I need. I never feel rushed, and he is the best health practitioner I have ever encountered. You can tell he really cares about his clients. I highly recommend him. I've been his client for years. His office assistant , Jenna, is super nice and pleasant every time I've called or come in. I've been to another audiologist at my ENT office and it was no where near the caliber of testing Dr Tubbs does.

I called and spoke with Jan - she was extremely helpful and pleasant. I then met with Dr. Nesbitt who subsequently suggested what I should do and fitted me with custom musician earplugs. I have used them for about a dozen concerts and they are incredible!!! I wish I had gotten them sooner. I couldn't be happier with the product and service provided by North Coast Audiology. I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others…read more I was referred by a friend who also invited me to a cosmetic event that was scheduled for later in the month. I wanted to look more refreshed for another event I had planned earlier in the week and so I decided to go in early for botox. I initially had a positive first impression of this office. The doctor is a family physician who also offers cosmetic treatments like Botox and lasers. I came in specifically for Botox, and although he recommended more units than I usually receive for my crow's feet area, I agreed, trusting his judgment and hoping for good results. He even asked me to return in two weeks for a follow-up touch-up. Unfortunately, within days, I noticed no improvement at all in my crow's feet. I tried calling the office multiple times and received no response. I eventually went in person to have him evaluate the results. When I showed him the issue, he told me "not to smile so hard," which was surprising especially since during my appointment, the medical assistant had encouraged me to smile very hard for photos. At my two-week follow-up, I was expecting a touch-up as discussed. Instead, he recommended doubling the amount of Botox, and when I asked if I would be charged again, he said yes. This was concerning, as I have never needed that much product before, and my regular provider achieves effective results at a much lower cost. While he attempted to justify this with scientific explanations, my experience suggested that technique and anatomical precision, both critical in Botox, may have been lacking, rather than the amount used. What was most disappointing was that after this entire experience, there was no effort to resolve the issue or stand behind the results. Instead, I immediately received a reminder text invitation to a cosmetic event promoting additional services and products. Given the outcome of my treatment, this felt dismissive and a lack of professionalism and patient care. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with the results, communication, and handling of concerns. I would not recommend this doctor, especially for cosmetic procedures where experience, technique, and ethical standards are essential.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he runs his own practice and is only a few blocks from our home. So Dr. Perez became my primary physician for my health insurance. In 2022 Dr. Perez's office sent several reminders for my annual physical which I needed to schedule. The reason for this review is on my third visit in late 2022, I came in at 8:30am due to a very painful hand with stiches. AFTER paying for his services, discussing the 2022 physical I still needed with his friendly assistant, and then waiting ~30 minutes in increasing pain. Dr. Perez refused to help me with what was a spreading hand infection - I needed antibiotics immediately! After he refused to even look at my hand - AFTER I had paid and waited & told him how much pain I was in - I subsequently spent hours driving around looking for an urgent care that FINALLY give me the antibiotics I really needed. At this point I had puss coming out from between the stitches and my hand was burning red. Healthtopia in Leucadia came through for me! So why did Dr. Perez refuse to even look at my infected hand and provide any help (although I urgently needed antibiotics for the infection) AFTER I had already paid and met with his assitant... Because he was still unhappy ( a year later...) with his interactions and reaction with my wife during the very stressful time of COVID. I feel this doctor is not following the basic fundamental medical Hippocratic oath, "first, do no harm". When I had a spreading infection in my hand (it was burning red and puss was coming out of the stitches) and he choose to focus on his personal issues he had with my wife (from a year ago!) instead of my urgent health problem in front of him. Lastly, he said I was using him to get a quick appointment, which he did not appreciate and and another reason he would not help me with my infected hand.
