French Onion Soup and Spicy Filet Mignon Tips
    Nicole E.

I would totally recommend this place. The inside is old but well taken care of. It's a very casual and unique. The staff was super friendly. We went right before 5:00 on a week night so it wasn't busy, which was nice. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. If I ever visit this area again we will for sure be going back.

Great spot with an awesome vibe loved the outdoor setup with the fire pits. Food was solid (apps + fries hit the spot) and the drinks kept COMING WOO. Chill place to hang with friends, definitely recommend. I loved the owner and bartender as well!!!!!

    Hatco French Onion Soup

I always enjoy and this time was absolutely delicious! I went overboard with ordering a little bit of everything lol and I have zero regrets! French onion soup was perfection, Burrata was unforgettable even the garlic toast on the side delicious, Steak Frites are a must try with that special steak sauce!!! To top it all off the Bread Pudding Epic! The service was excellent & knowledgeable! On a rainy night, I truly enjoyed a nice private date night!

Not just soup. Good. Hot. Tomato Bisque.

Okay. So the soup was cold. I as re-heated and still a bit cold. Why 4-stars they took it off the check. I've been here b/4 and will come back. #service. One was a Hatco Clam Chowder and Tom Bisque.

A great place for late evening refreshment and smoke at new cigar lounge discovered. Will hop in again

    Kicking' Watermelon

A great local eatery with fantastic food and drinks. The service is always friendly but can be a little slow on the busier nights. The flat bread pizza is a must try here. My favorite is the Bee Sting pie. Very cozy interior, the only downside is on the inside there is a cigar lounge so you can still smell smoke depending where you are seated inside. Desserts here are also a must, the strawberry ny style cheesecake is absolutely to die for. The kickin' watermelon is a nice twist on a spicy margarita with fresh and spicy jalapeños, tajin, and the perfect compliment of sweet watermelon. I highly recommend their New England style clam chowder. It's perfectly flavorful, not too heavy, and great no matter what season.

The widest variety of a menu I've ever seen, from empanadas, flatbreads, pub grub, comfort foods like shepherds pie to fish and chips to easily the best dessert I've had. A friend and I split the applie pie ala mode and the cookie in a skillet. For appetizers I recommend the French dip sliders, "the Queen" Margherita pizza, and the mussels. For entrees, I recommend the pear and prosciutto ravioli as well as the steak. I will definitely be returning!

Finally! A place in my own town that I can rate 5 stars…read more Cooper's is a small pub located in Pearl River. There's street parking around the neighborhood that becomes free after 6. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

A very intimate dining space with lackluster food…read more Was staying in the area and opted for a meal close by. Came to dual henrys out if convienience. The restaurant was open but barren. This specific location was hosting a wedding which was taking most of the attention away from this restaurant. We sat down in a barren dining room and got an almost equally barren menu. We both got mocktails, I got an espresso martini and she got an elderberry lemonade. She got a Cesar salad with skirt steak, and I got a burger with truffle fries. The mocktails were not great. The espresso martini was all bitter and no sweet. The lemonade was the same, though she doesn't like sweet drinks so it worked for her. We waited a good 45 minutes for food. The servers felt bad so they gave each of us a single sourdough roll, warmed up in the microwave with cold butter. A great thought, but also lacking. When food did come out, the salad was mostly stems with a quarter portion of gristled steak on the side. She immediately sent it back, asking for salmon instead. They sent a full salmon dinner in its place, which was much better and presented well. The burger, one of the worst I've had. Unseasoned, frozen, and overcooked with a stale bun and no condiments. The truffle fries were tiny chunks of potato, but seasoned liberally with truffle oil. So at least they got the fries right. The main reason they get the 2 is because the servers understood the mess of a meal we got and did everything in their power to make things right. We were even offered chocolate covered strawberries for dessert delivered to the room we were staying at (we still had to call them 30 minutes before closing to get them, which they delivered right away) this is burger shack food severed at high star hotel prices. I'm fairly confident that the kitchens attention was on the wedding and not us, and it showed in spades. The staff really did make the experience tolerable, but that shouldn't be the experience people should expect.

I had an omelet that consisted of bacon, peppers, and cheddar cheese. It was good, plenty of filling, but the cheese was just not melted all the way through. I also had some breakfast potatoes, sausage links, bacon, and French toast. They were all what one would expect, but the sausage links were off. The ones I had were definitely not cooked all the way, which threw off the taste. Will I go back? Probably.

I had driven by once or twice and was contemplating entering the establishment myself; however, I have a keen sense for these types of locals and I felt I had to wait for an invite as such I eventually received. I was correct in my estimation, as my final determination of this spot... of which I'll get to... is that I'd walk (not run) back and would be willing to give it another guy for another event. The ambiance is quite remarkable for a Pub Flex+ type of joint. Double jointed with two floors, flexed into a bar upon entry, booths and high tables throughout... this place is quite bright and cheery. It feels like it can fit an entire hall until it actually had to... in which such a large space felt like it had been cranked by an f and cuddled a family of orphan dogs. For a gastropub the menu was short, yet sweet. I could've probably ordered anything on the menu and felt like I got an above average meal. I got the 4 leaves burger which was indeed a very above average burger accompanied by above average fries. Their duty was dutiful but did not have me barging over barrels for more. Nor did it for others, although everyone seemed to enjoy their meals in a bright and professional environment. As for lunch or dinner? I'd only come back again for work. But I've got a hinker, or maybe a tinker, that brunch in here would be quite nice. The day will come when I try it and I hope to be able to bring back better news than above average. LB usually doesn't do above average... as you know. But sometimes I like to make the unsung swan feel like a bell of a ball. What a guy. Four leaves.
