Fried Green Tomatoes Breakfast: excellent tomatoes and sauce, perfect eggs. Hashbrowns 'puck' was bland. Porky Burrito: tasty and generously stuffed, potatoes cooked crispy as I asked and they were perfect too. Breakfast Grapefruit: cut it half on a plate with no special spoon for you to figure out how to eat. Disappointing. They forgot my pancake: oh well, I guess I did not need the calories anyway. Service was good and attentive.

We decided to try this breakfast brunch restaurant located conveniently on a local shopping strip, ambience is homey. Service was friendly, and we were seated right away. Coffee was hot and strong, We decided to try the boozy bacon (pork belly) it was delicious. The fiery fig chicken sandwich with house potatoes was ok, wished for some fire. Had an omelette with grilled onions bacon mushrooms, was good, the toast never came, when it did, it was cold, then it was replaced by a lukewarm, not very toasted toast (sourdough toast has to be nicely toasted to be good). I gave up.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! We ordered a Maple Brown Sugar Latte and a White Chocolate Mocha, both were delicious. We ordered the grilled chicken melt with fries, egg omelette with hashbrowns, biscuit, and a side of pancake. It was all delicious!

Ordered the hash, the employees are super sweet and also recommended the white chocolate mint latte which was also a great choice. I really appreciate the generous portions as well.

Still love Hearth Cafe! The consistency of the food and flavor is top tier. The staff is awesome and some have been there for years. I'm excited about the expansion and look forward to the new things they implement. Hate that they no longer have the boozy bacon because it was a fave of mine (I asked about it being discontinued and they said it was a supplier issue). I still get my go-to French toast with a side of chicken sausage and house potatoes. My hubby and good friend go straight to the hash. Never a dull experience at Hearth. It feels like home and you can tell they love what they do. Really glad to have a place like this in Mansfield.

Stopped in for post-thanksgiving breakfast at exactly the right time. At 9:40 am, there was parking and only a 3 minute wait for our table (compared to when we left after 10 am, there was a half hour wait). Our waitress was attentive and had our lattes out quickly. The loaded croissant breakfast sandwich was delicious and soft and warm and exactly what I needed. I barely had room left for the potatoes but those were well salted and not soggy at all!

I ordered French toast for my mother for Mother's Day. It's always been her favorite! I order it to go and surprise her with it. In the past, Hearth Cafe's French toast has been served with fresh strawberries and mascarpone icing ... it made a lovely presentation! This time was a different. The French toast was served with a strawberry "sauce" and some type of cinnamon (???) icing. The French toast looked and tasted nothing like it had in the past. My mother was quite disappointed and so was I.

This is why my family and I stopped coming to Hearth! Plain and simple, I'm a coffee guy, and first sip, knew something was off. Good luck if you visit here

Enjoyed my lunch on the patio today since the weather was nice. I loved that they had shade and sunny table options. The menu is full of great options that I was eager to try! I was recommended the Honey Lavender Latte, but I got coconut milk instead of regular dairy milk. This was a beautiful and refreshing drink and would highly recommend it. I ended up ordering two entrees since my taste buds couldn't decide what they were in the mood for. I ordered the BLT and the original burger since I'm a big burger fan. Both were super delicious and hit the spot! I took bites from both and packed away extras to take home for later. Definitely worth a visit and the prices were decent for the quality and taste of the food.

The place is small, so there is limited seating. The food portions are huge. Definitely will be taking to go each time. I got the hash, and I got chorizo with it. The dish was a bit bland, but a little salt did the trick. The pancakes was big too.

I'm never disappointed when we come here to eat. What I love most about this place is they are always evolving and adding new things to the menu. I walked in today and now they sell cookies and brownies. We usually always get breakfast but decided on lunch. The crispy chicken sandwich was well made but a little salty for my taste. The reuben was along with the truffle fries. Their ranch taste like it's made in house it's more of a sour cream taste but overall still good. This place came highly recommended and the food did not disappoint. Definitely recommend the food. Please review the pics, but I got the Breakfast sandwich and my wife got the Five-O tacos..we're Texas folks so we got the brisket on them...I added a side of poblano chutney and avocado salsa...and the sandwich was heavenly. Here's the downside, we went on a Monday, only half the restaurant was full and took a good 40 min to get our plates. We ordered espresso and pumpkin latte, both of which took about 20 min to get delivered table-side, then the espresso was cold and I had to send it back. Then the only negative regarding the food was the voluminous amount of burnt potatoes I had to pick through to get the good ones. Giving this 3.5 stars, 5 for the food, 2 for the service. But will definitely come back and update. The food is good enough, I'd wait the forty minutes again, but I wouldn't enjoy the wait. Haha.

The best breakfast meal I've ever had. You must try this place so much flavor it was incredible.

First time I've ever been and was pleasantly surprised. The environment was warm welcoming and clean. The staff were so sweet and professional, customer service was outstanding. Not only was the food delicious, but it wasn't super heavy or greasy. I was able to enjoy a delicious meal without feeling like I gained 10 pounds. Not only that but the way the present your food to you is so cute! They go above and beyond to make sure your food looks appetizing and just over all visually pleasing. I had the pumpkin spice latte with reservation but tried it based on a friend's recommendation. This was done just right, enough of a pumpkin spice taste without overpowering the espresso. Love the concept. I'm a huge fan of coffee shops and brunch so this place hits the nail on the head with those two things. The blueberry muffin top was one of the best I've ever had. I had the hash which was good but not great. I feel like it could have been seasoned a little better. My fiancé had the tacos and again they were good. The service was a little shaky but don't want to complain too much there, they are a newer restaurant and still working out the kinks I suppose. read more

It's a good place and has a grest atmosphere. I keep coming back everytime we think about where to have brunch or breakfast. I love their hash, they're a large portion and the egg on top is perfect. Recently they started making coffee fraps and those are delicious! I used to drink their cold brew, but now I'm hooked on these! I'm not a big fan of hugely sweet drinks, but the frap is lightly sweet and very creamy. read more

The food is decent, atmosphere is welcoming. My only issues are with the selection of food. I'm not one to like avocado nor am I vegetarian/vegan leaving few options without materially changing the items. Overall the food choices are quite healthy and good for a brunch/lunch. The rating is just resultant of my opinion if lack of choices and a small dining area. Worth a try nonetheless. read more

Crowded but moves fast. You can taste the quality and freshness in each dish. If you have discerning tastes, this is the best option in Mansfield! Also, they're all super nice, especially the management and ownership. I wish I could give them a 10 star!!! read more

This place is awesome. It was what Mansfield needed. I had the breakfast tacos (brisket and chorizo) which were delicious along with the potatoes. My wife had the toast with Avocado with white crumbly cheese also very delicious and the small bowl of fruit was very sweet and a perfect touch. 10/10. Well priced and excellent location/environment. Our waiter was kate. Who was very nice. Also the punch card for free coffee is an excellent idea!!!! read more

Great location and was greeted, seated right when I entered! You will need to be patient. I was thanked several times for being patient ...after I retrieved my own menu and had to asked for a water while being patient. I was then told I would have to wait an extra 20-25 minutes because of all the to go orders and drive through customers. Wow! Now we know not to dine in. Thanks for the info after five minutes of sitting before ordering. Rusty service after 7 weeks can be overlooked, but being told drive through and call in orders a priority and I'd have to wait longer on Mother's Day is a bit ridiculous and frustrating. Appreciating our patient's is one thing, but respecting our time is another. Let's hope the food is worth it...it was basic and heavy handed with salt. read more

Good food good people. Husband and I drove from Grand Prairie to go to the tractor supply and stopped in here for a breakfast date. We are glad we did. I had the boozy pancakes that were filled with pecans and almonds, topped off with bourbon syrup, two eggs and bacon. It was delicious !!! Husband had the omelette and fried tators with a grilled buttery croissant. We headed home with a to go box and will enjoy what we couldn't stuff our bellies with tomorrow. I've been coming to this place since it has opened. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and patient with customers. The food is unbelievably amazing! Cozy little place! We were greeted at the door by a very friendly and cheerful young lady that explained all of the specials to us. Craigan was our waiter. He was very friendly and helpful when I couldn't make up my mind of what I wanted. I ended up with the breakfast tacos with brisket and chorizo. It also came with potatoes. Everything was great! The potato's were seasoned very good. I also had a pumpkin spice expression, very yummy. My daughter got the special which was cinnamon roll pancakes. OMG, was the reaction she gave. Tasted just like a cinnamon roll, didn't even need the syrup. We will be back and cannot wait to try other things. read more

Love supporting local; they will not disappoint. Coffee drinks are yum! Why go to Starbies when this little gem is around the corner. The food is SO GOOD and fresh! I had the DELICIOUS croissant chicken salad, side of the BEST potatoes. Daughter had the French toast, looked home made w fresh strawberries. She said it was so good. Just tried this little gem for breakfast. Delicious! I got the hash to go. The potato's themself were a little thick and not seasoned themselves in my opinion but with everything else and the sauce it was one of the best I've had cute and clean looking place with friendly service! Also seemed to have a great variety for every type of eater. From Pancakes to avacado toast and several gluten free options. Definitely will be trying this place again! my new favorite breakfast place! read more

This place is delicious. Their breakfast potatoes are the stuff dreams are made of. It's. A. Win. Eat the breakfast quesadillas! Or if you have been starved all your life, go with the hash! Their coffee is excellent. The only complaint I have is that their chocolate milk is mediocre so I can't have a latte made with it. Don't knock it until you try it. read more

I'm in town for a swim meet. I found this place and I'm so happy I did!! I had an omelet with chicken sausage, mushroom and cheddar. The chicken sausage was soooo good. Also the side of potatoes were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked! Our server, Alanna was the best. So fast and friendly and took time to answer my questions and make a few jokes with me. I hope I have to come back to Mansfield soon! read more

Great food choices and lots and lots of healthy options. The service is fast and pleasant, and they really do make you feel at home. My only complaint with the establishment is that it seems to be slightly overpriced, but that is the case with most restaurants in this area serving this kind of food. Recommend the breakfast sandwich and cold brew. read more

My fiancé and I have wanted to try this place since it opened. We finally went and it was Worth the wait! He got the breakfast brisket tacos and I got the made to order omelet. Everything came out just as we ordered. We both loved the potatoes! We couldn't leave without getting pastries to go for dinner. Lol! The blueberry muffin was HuGE and more than enough to share. Our service was very good. The hostess was friendly, our server was attentive, and the manager checked on us! The atmosphere had a bit of an urban cottage flair. Everything was very clean, we could see the baristas and food prep from our table.The bathrooms were kept up. And to top it all off, they have a drive through!! For a new restaurant, my expectations are generally low the first visit, but Hearth Cafe really has it together and is off to a great start! Can't wait to go back and try the avocado toast. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! First time here. Thought I would try it because of the coffee and good yelp reviews. Sat down at 12:35 and put in the order at about 12:40. Ordered food and coffee for three people and some ice water. Waitress brought us ice water. I never got the lemon I asked for. So 20 minutes go by. No coffee. Waitress hasn't even been by to see if we were ok and to refill the water. Another 10 minutes go by. Everyone is hangry, and one of us needs to go to work. No sign of any food or coffee coming our way. Waitress neglecting us to the max. So.... we canceled our order and left. Never going back. read more

I would say they are thoughtful of allergies. They have on their menu to let them know if there are any allergies. And that their gluten free items are cooked in a kitchen where gluten is prepared, in case the sensitivity is severe.

She finished the entire plate with sausage and potatoes. We ordered two glasses of fresh-squeezed oj, and it was legit fresh and very reasonably priced - so many places overcharge for fresh squeezed juice and this place has much better quality for way less dollars. The service was excellent - multiple check ins without hovering. The staff really paid attention, and the patio seating was perfect, they set up the umbrella for us, and it was quiet and peaceful - a completely different atmosphere from inside. For $40, we got a generous amount of high-quality food and cleaned our plates. We will absolutely be back. Easily one of the best breakfast/brunch spots we've tried in the metro

Jakes stays open until 11 p.m. and was easy to get to off Broad St. I lived off Skillman the last time I had a Jakes Burger and my husband has never had one. Our friendly waiter reassured me they hadn't changed. The menu certainly has though! What a vast array of creative ideas for burgers, sandwiches and even breakfast and brunch! It took me awhile to decide. Salads, platters, veggies. Great choices. There were so many appealing appetizers, but we decided on the Half and Half Hand-Breaded Jalapeño Bottle Caps & Hand-Breaded Pickle Chips, served with ranch. When they came, I can honestly say the grouping looked nothing like the photo. These were much smaller. But for the two of us, the portion was okay and it was delicious. The jalapeños were spicy and the pickles tangy. A terrific combo to get your palate fired up. My spouse had ordered the Kickin' Chicken Fried Bacon Burger and it arrived in all its glory. Two beef patties with hickory sauce and melted cheese, lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo, topped with two slices of beautiful chicken fried bacon. He let me have a bite of the bacon. It's crazy good. My burger came, the Bacon Bleu Burger with Bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a creamy bleu cheese dressing with crumbles. I had ordered extra pickles on the side and I received four but I absolutely love them so I asked for four more right away. I think it's sacrilege to just put whole intact slices of onion on anything without separating the rings, so I had to "operate" before I could eat. I also asked for a plain bun. You have a choice between poppy seed or plain. This was a truly delicious burger. One of the best bleu cheese burgers I've ever had and very filling. I took half home! Service was excellent and the restaurant and restroom was very clean. We had a good experience and would return.

He also got the mimosa, which was on the pricy side compared to other places we've been to. I got the biscuits and turkey sausage gravy with eggs, which I had before. Still one of my go-tos. The restaurant is spotless, the bathrooms are far from the eating area that's a plus, they have outdoor seating,, great during nice weather. This is a must visit, if you've moved in recently or are in the area stop by and check for yourself.

Order at the counter and they give you a # on a stand to take to your table for food delivery. Digital menu behind the registers and a posted seasonal coffee menu in a stand by the register. There was a case with some muffins & scones that looked good. I got the 1/2 Panini combo with soup - VIP (turkey, bacon, tomato, cheddar & mayo) & broccoli cheese soup. My Mom got the VIP and a bag of chips. We got our food quickly despite them being quite busy. The bread on the panini was perfect in my opinion- thin and not greasy - unlike any other panini I've had before. My personal preference would have been a little less cheese and a thin layer of mayo vs a couple glops but they didn't stop me - I easily scooped it out. I was so excited to indulge in broccoli cheese soup. Portion size was great however it had an unexpected spicy heat that hit you on the back end of the bite and was a little watery. I tolerated a few bites trying to like it but couldn't eat it unfortunately. It totally misses the mark on the creamy cheesy indulgence that broccoli cheese soup is.

I worked here for four months. Both owners had me stage and hired me. They had explained to me they wanted to transition from restaurant to meal prep service (which is my background) so I wouldn't have to learn the menu. They (me) just worked on a meal prep strategy, social media marketing, graphic design for a logo AND menu design along with "keeping up a front" with the other women i worked with in the kitchen who ONLY SPEAK SPANISH. I'm bilingual so adding the translation to my pay wasn't even thought of. Neither was my graphic design or social media marketing experience...I have text messages to prove the unprofessionalism from both Owners. Oh, it doesn't end there unfortunately both owners sexually harassed me and avoided telling my husband until i did because (one example) one of the owners would grab the skin of my elbow and try to have a conversation with me but would think it was funny and say "i touched your weenus". Couldn't get them for sexual harassment but got them through TWC and how they chose to pay BOH. The back of house relies on a consistent paycheck. And consistency is not a true statement in their vocabulary. They hire young women who they sexually harass and take advantage of because everyone was too scared to say something. They don't care about their customers or their food they just care about weaseling their way out of a tangled situation. So they can some how break free from this colossal mess. Not to mention the owners are not sober on the clock. And Ivan is just rude, everyday he gifted us with some sort of tantrum and thought his actions were fine. (Women in the kitchen don't speak English) so they're getting away with a lot. Worst work experience ever. Will and Ivan are horrible humans if i could share private text message's publicly I would! Do not support these people. Owners mingle with servers after work hours too. (Texts to prove) I could go on about personal boundaries being crossed and how i asked repeatedly for the owner to stop harassing me but it didn't end. My husband wondered why I wasn't going to work and then I had told him MORE THINGS that Ivan had been inappropriately saying to me. And I quit that day after my husband grabbed my things for me from Ivan. Ivan grabbed my belongings and crossed the restaurant to drop off my things because my husband confronted him about sexual harassment. These are older men seeking affection from younger women and there's evidence to prove they say those things. I'm livid. This happened to me after Easter Sunday. I can go on and on about other experiences here in my short four month period of time. Go somewhere else that cares. Please! read more

This place sucks... I waited 2 1/2 hours for my simple egg breakfast but that's the least of the problems I have with this place. The customer service is awful our server was rude and got half the orders wrong that's if he even brought out the food to begin with. And to top it off we were harassed by our server and accused of saying things that no one said and then charged in the parking lot by the server afterwards continuing to harass us when no one said anything bad about him or the establishment while we were eating. I am seriously offended by his actions I understand you were busy but that's no way to treat paying customers. I will NEVER return to eat here. read more

I have found myself returning to the hearth of Hearth Cafe on multiple occasions. Each time, it is my mission to sample yet another dish, an endeavor to encapsulate my favourites - it is, however, a task of Herculean proportions, for every dish has been simply outstanding. One can sense the freshness of the ingredients, devoid of the preservative-infested frozen wares that seem to be commonplace in numerous breakfast establishments. Their burgers, I must say, are quite remarkable. If it were left to my discretion, the only minor modification I'd suggest is the introduction of grits to their menu. read more

Mansfield is lucky to have such a cute new spot in town. The hash with bacon is my favorite and I've ordered it twice. The baked goods are all baked in house and are wonderful as well. I took a strawberry shortcake scone to-go and loved it! Kind servers and cool decor too! read more
