Dr. Braxton is an amazing Dentist. Everyone there, from front to back will take care of you. I really like that they take their time to explain procedures and cost and answer all your questions. I picked this place because it was close to my job. Ended up being a great find. Everyone in the office was absolutely lovely. The dental tech wasn't rough with her pick, the receptionist was very personable and great to talk to, and the doctor was outstanding. They weren't trying to find extra reason to charge me. Unfortunetly Hearthside Dentistry lost a loyal patient, due to the extremely rude and unprofessional front desk staff. I had an issue with my employers insurance and wanted to reschedule and or see if I was able to pay cash for my upcoming appointment. I was told that doing so was insurance fraud and adjusting my service to post pone X-rays wasn't possible with their insurance billing schedule. Ironically the next day my employers insurance issue was resolved, but the unprofessionalism and disregard I experienced on the phone call with Ashleigh means I will not be returning as a patient to the office. Unfortunately the halfheartedness I experienced from the office staff in this instance over shadowed any good service I've previously had from the dental staff and Dr McMillon. read more

I have been a patient with Hearthside Dentistry for several years. Dr. McMillion is the best!! My routine appointment was scheduled for 3/10/22. I phoned 3/9 to cancel . I use a walker and do not navigate snow & ice. I was told there would be a cancellation fee, I was not cancelling in the correct time frame. I did not schedule another appointment. I've been going to Dr. McMillian's practice for a number of years. She is one of the best dentists I've ever had. She care not only about my dental health but me as a client. Cheryl in the front of the house is awesome when it comes to insurance and takes the time to explain all of my benefits or out of pocket expenses. Dr. McMillian does too and has never pushed an out of pocket expense. While the dental technicians and hygienists have changed several times, they are all nice and light-handed. I did not have a good experience here, it sounds like my experience was similar to the one star reviewer below. I'm pregnant and have not been to the dentist for about two years due to back to back pregnancies, but I finally decided I probably need to go in for at least a cleaning and see what else I need to do after my pregnancy. I went in and met with the hygienist, I don't remember her name but I think it was Kristen. She examined me and let me know that I would need a scaling, which is a deeper cleaning. Since I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile I was expecting to need some work. I explained to her that I would be glad to make an appointment for the scaling after I had my baby, but I didn't want do any procedure most intensive than a cleaning or use anything like a numbing cream while I was pregnant. I then asked if we could do the cleaning and then schedule the scaling for December. She said no. She said she was not comfortable doing a cleaning on my teeth because I needed a scaling. I asked her if the cleaning would do any harm, and she said no but it wouldn't be exactly what I needed and as a professional she could not do an incomplete job. So... If the cleaning is not going to hurt me, and I'm willing to schedule for the deeper cleaning you're recommending after my pregnancy, then what's the problem? It seems like they didn't even schedule time for a cleaning because the hygienist told me she didn't have time for a scaling today anyway due to the late start we got (I was 6 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic...every cleaning I've ever gotten has taken longer than 6 minutes). It also didn't seem like she read the extensive questionnaire that they made me fill out. When examining me she said "oh it looks like you've gotten your wisdom teeth out", nope and that's one of the questions you asked me in the questionnaire. Then she started examining me without really saying anything at all and I had to let her know that I had anxiety regarding the dental equipment (also noted in the extensive questionnaire) so could she please talk me through the examination. The dentist then came in (she did seem very kind and personable, especially compared to the hygienist), mainly to answer any questions I had. She looked at my teeth for about 2 1/2 minutes and then asked the hygienist what she recommended and how long she should schedule my next appointment for. Isn't recommending a treatment plan usually the dentists job? Yeah honestly I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my day and theirs. Will be looking for a dentist who's willing to take time with their patients and come up with a treatment plan together. read more

I just moved to Colorado and was looking for a good Dentist and decided to try Hearthside Dentistry since they were in my neighborhood. I have been to them for a couple of treatments and I was so amazed how gentle, experienced and professional Dr. Christina McMillon and her team were! They all made me feel very welcomed and at ease the whole time I was there. I really appreciated the follow up phone call AFTER I had my work done! I highly recommend this place! I am so grateful to have found the lovely and kind Dr. McMillon and her friendly crew. After an extended hiatus from dental checkups (16+ years, oops), I finally had the dental emergency that would get me back in the chair. Over the last three months, Dr. McMillon has been gently fixing up my mouth - wisdom tooth removal here, screw implant over here, and a scattering of fillings all around - and never once has she scolded me or made me feel bad in any way for neglecting my teeth. She has put me at ease with each procedure, explaining what, why, and how, and despite a couple very stubborn removals, I've been virtually pain-free after her work. I attribute this to her having found her forte; Dr. McMillon excels at precision dentistry. She is a gentle, affable woman with delicate, deliberate hands that don't ever feel overly forceful or intrusive, coupled with a chair-side manner that creates the most pleasant experience one could ever dream of having at the dentist! If you are waffling on making Hearthside Dentistry your dental home, don't; I'd drive from anywhere in Denver for the consistently welcoming, professional staff and service I've received in their brand new, beautiful office. An experience like no other. Apparently I 'do not have the authority' to make a decision about what treatment I receive. Quoted verbatim from the so-called dentist. Which means if you don't accept their recommended treatment, that they can't do during the scheduled appointment, then they will refuse to treat you entirely. I've had my fair number of dental hygienist and I have to admit, it's soooooo hard to find somebody who can do a good job, well, thank goodness, I finally found one at Healthside Dentistry. Our hygienist Jenny- did a fabulous job!!! She was very thoroughl and took her time cleaning my girls teeth. She also took time to explained to my daughter in how to properly brush her teeth and areas she needs to focus on, I don't think I EVER had anybody do that. The dentist- dr. McMillion was also friendly and did great with my girls. Also very convienient too (right off of I-25 and HWY 7). So glad I found a hygienist I like, where our whole family can go to!!! Oh, I forgot to mention, it was also fairly easy to get an appt with Jenny. I would highly recommend anybody who's looking for a new dental office!! read more

Having been a provider for 20+ years myself, I have a pretty good idea of what makes one great. The job is far more difficult than most could imagine.. first you must be intelligent to understand all the science behind the functioning of our bodies, then you must show the rigor for just surviving the educational process. Beyond graduation, you must have some serious business acumen and marketing talent just to get off the ground. To be successful you must also possess the artistic abilities that your profession requires. But to be a really great provider, you must inherently CARE for your patient... and I'm not talking about a casually agreeable 'bedside manner', but rather a genuine heart-felt interest in the well-being of your client. Unbelievable service and impeccably clean. As a health care professional, I tend to notice things like wait times, cleanliness and organization. This office has surpassed my expectations. Found them thru 1800dentist and i was so pleased w my experience. I had terrible wisdom tooth pain for months and no dentist would help bc I was pregnant. I called today because I have an emergency with my tooth breaking. I had an appointment that I had cancelled because I had just started a new job, and couldn't take time off for the first month, and apparently that cancellation was never processed. I also never received a call confirming the appointment, like pretty much every place that has ever scheduled appointments does. On top of that, I was supposed to have received an e-mail, but you would think that when there was no response, that someone would have maybe, I don't know, called me to be sure they had the correct e-mail address? But apparently calls are a courtesy for Hearthside, where they are standard for everyone else. My e-mail address is this one, and because someone mistyped my e-mail address, substituting a y for the g, now I am charged with a $50 missed appointment fee and apparently that can't change. So someone at Hearthside screwed up, at least twice, and now I have an emergency, and I can't get services because I have a $50 charge for something I had no responsibility of. I don't have money. We have medicaid. We have 2 kids. I make $12/hour as a call center rep. I work in customer service, and this is absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and is the sort of thing that kills businesses. My entire family and I will cease our services with Hearthside. I don't ever, EVER leave online reviews for any business, but this time I am going out of my way as much as I possibly can. read more
