They told me not unless the friend had my i.d., which they couldn't get, me being 4 hours away. On the 7th day, I got the body shop to request it. They so enjoyed charging: $595 ($85 x 7,) they gruffed that it was all my fault: "I had alcohol in the back seat in a cooler." Then, hung up on me. Rude, ridiculous, unrepentant. Worse than worst.
