[Parking]: Free and easy strip mall parking. [Amenity]: Restroom is available, but user must insert one quarter to use it. Soap/bleach/softener dispenser is not working. There's only one TV and it was playing local ABC news. I also spotted gum ball machines and a massage chair. [Washing machines]: ALL machines only accept quarters (no electronic payment) and the laundromat has functional change machines. For triple load washer, the maximum capacity is 35 lbs & $5.25 for 36-minute cold wash. Last wash ends at 7:30 PM. [Drying machines]: Just like washing machines, all drying machines only take quarters. User must first fill up each drying machine, insert a quarter, select a temperature (high, perm press, and low), and then the door will close due to suction (no clicking sound when door is closed). $0.25 for a 8-minute session. [Fluff and fold]: For clothes it's $1.75 per pound ($13 minimum). For comforters and blankets = $18 each for under 5 lbs, $21 each for 5 lbs to 7 lbs, and $24 each for 7 lbs to 10 lbs (?). [Conclusion]: Quarter-only & outdated machines, out of service soap/bleach/softener dispenser, drying machines lock by suction, early last wash ending time, and restroom not free - honestly I would only come back here again as the last resort.

A standard clothes washing was $3, a larger washer for towels, blankets was $5.25. They also offer fluff & fold. The place is clean and I had a very pleasant experience when I asked for help when a machine wasn't immediately working. Turns out, the door was clicking shut. If you're in need of laundry service, this is a good option.

My biggest complaint is recently I noticed they started locking the lint removal tray for the dryers and it says on there "to be emptied end of day". I came around 8pm and the lint trap was filled and what should've took about 20 minutes to dry took double the amount. As well, the washers had visible hair and dust around the doors so whoever is in charge of cleaning the machines isn't doing a great job. Im not sure if locking the link trays is a tactic for people to spend more but an accumulation of lint is a severe fire hazard.

He told me the laundromat closes at 9:00 PM and suggested that I use the $5.00 large washer because he said the washer I wanted was either too slow or didn't spin properly. The large washer was much bigger than I needed, so I chose one of the $4.00 washers inside instead. Unfortunately, that washer barely spun the clothes at all. They came out soaking wet. I didn't want to argue, so I had to run my laundry through another washer just to get the water out. Then I split my clothes between three dryers, but because I had to leave before 9:00 PM, they still weren't dry. I couldn't believe how poorly they dried. Washing one small load ended up costing me $11.00, and my thick towels were still damp, so I had to take them home and hang them up to dry. Please check the security camera footage if possible. If the owner is Korean, I would appreciate a reply. Honestly, I would like a refund.

He loves to ask if you need help and always keeps the place super clean and all the machines are always working. They also have a card machine which makes it easy to use all the machines.

Machines that were broken last time I was here are still out of order. The maintenance and housekeeping of the area is also ignored. WHEN the owner is here (which is rare) he's usually just in his seat watching videos instead of attending the floor or cleaning up a bit. This place has also become like a washroom for transients/homeless people. I have no reason to make this up: my last 4-5 times here, there's been at least one homeless person walk in and use the sink as their own bathing area: owner doesn't seem to mind. Walked in today, no employees at all during my 90 minutes of washing, and witnessed a homeless lady just roam around the machines, seeing what she could snag up. Such a shame because the prices are actually fair. But if this place continues to be unattended and unclean, it will go from my last option to not being an option at all

I brought in several Crate & Barrel curtain panels valued at approximately $900 for dry cleaning. Because of the cost of the curtains and the fact that they were in excellent condition, I specifically asked the owner, Sam, about potential risks before signing the waiver. During that conversation, Sam told me that pilling was a possibility, but he also stated that he had never personally encountered a situation where a customer's curtains experienced an adverse outcome from the cleaning process. He reassured me that everything would be fine. At no point did he mention shrinkage as a potential risk. That distinction is important because if I had been informed that shrinkage was a realistic possibility, I would not have proceeded with a nearly $400 dry-cleaning service on $900 curtains. I would have simply replaced them. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the curtains no longer matched in length. Panels that previously pooled slightly on the floor are now hanging approximately 3-5 inches above the floor, and the lengths appear inconsistent from panel to panel. In addition, the curtains appear to have been pressed improperly. The fabric no longer hangs straight. Instead, the sides appear narrower near the top and wider near the bottom, creating a noticeable billowing or hourglass effect. When I raised this concern, Sam acknowledged that the pressing issue was human error. I should note that I was unable to pick up the curtains for approximately a month due to a medical emergency. However, the condition of the curtains upon pickup does not change the fact that the shrinkage and pressing issues occurred during the cleaning and finishing process. What ultimately prompted this review was not just the outcome, but how the situation was handled. I spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with Sam attempting to discuss the issue calmly and professionally. Rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised, he repeatedly insisted that I had been warned, despite the fact that shrinkage had never been mentioned. The conversation frequently drifted into broad generalizations about waivers and customer responsibility rather than the specific facts of what had been disclosed to me before I signed. When I explained that there is a meaningful difference between being warned about pilling and being warned about shrinkage, he maintained that shrinkage fell under the general umbrella of possible damage and that he could not be expected to list every potential outcome. I disagreed. When a customer specifically asks about risks, they deserve enough information to make an informed decision. I also found it unreasonable that I was told I could receive either a $50 accommodation for the shrinkage issue or have the curtains re-pressed to correct the acknowledged pressing error--but not both. These are two separate issues. One relates to the cleaning outcome, while the other relates to admitted workmanship during finishing. Perhaps most disappointing was being told that providing any additional accommodation would essentially amount to "running a charity instead of a business." After spending nearly $400 on the service and receiving curtains that no longer fit or hang properly, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessarily insulting. Had Sam simply acknowledged that shrinkage should have been discussed, shown some empathy, and worked collaboratively toward a reasonable solution, I likely would not be writing this review. Instead, I was left with damaged curtains, no meaningful resolution, and a conversation that left me feeling unheard and blamed for an outcome I specifically tried to avoid by asking questions upfront.

PRICING: Totally fair. I was pleasantly surprised to have been charged $25 for an original hem. To my understanding, it's more labor intensive compared to a standard hem. Sam helped me from the intake and even recognized me during my pickup. He's kind, polite, a real stand up guy running an honest business.

Today was my first time at this laundromat and I had such a positive experience. Richard was incredibly helpful. He assisted me with loading quarters into the machines and walked me through the different washer sizes, cycle times, and how everything worked. It made a huge difference, especially since it was my first visit. Even after his shift ended, he made sure to let the next staff member know I might need help, which I truly appreciated. One of the biggest highlights for me was the barcode pay-as-you-go system. After putting my clothes in the washers, I realized I had run out of quarters. Thanks to the barcode system, I was still able to dry my clothes without having to make a last-minute run to the bank. That feature alone was a game changer and something I've never experienced at any other laundromat. The entire facility was spotless. Everything was clean, sanitized, and organized. I noticed and appreciated the attention to detail right away. I felt safe, supported, and not at all like I was bothering anyone when asking questions. They also had essentials like bleach available for purchase and a vending machine for snacks or drinks. The owner of this business was absolutely horrible!!! He harassed my daughter while I used the restroom and he even charged us a dollar to use it. He kept trying to get into the restroom while I was in it and my 16 year old daughter insisted that it was inappropriate that he was trying to get into the restroom. He used profanity while yelling at my daughter and was absolutely obnoxious and horribly unprofessional. This is the worst business and the fact that this disgusting man runs it is even worse. I just moved into our new rental and of course the washing machine and dryer don't work. I have a stack of laundry, sheets, and towels to wash and fold. The man that runs Heather and Daughter was AMAZING! I dropped off 35 pounds of laundry at 10 am and it was washed, dried, and perfectly folded and delivered in 4 hours! He literally saved me! Heather &Daughter Laundromat is the best laundry mat I've ever used in the entire southern to northern California, since I became a RN traveler in the state California of from 2016-present. after having read positive reviews, I tried using it once and never stopped. It's the cleanest (sanitized), well-kept machines, cheapest and friendliest place to wash & dry clothes. I recommend not coming to the laundromat near the lunch hour as the other businesses take up the parking spaces. I came to this laundromat because of the high ratings but was disappointed in the end. Facility needs more ventilation especially on hot days. I recommend wearing a mask during these COVID times. read more

The washer broke while my clothes were in it so I had to sit there for two hours watching it just spin doing nothing. Tried calling the two numbers they have listed on the door for help and "emergency" number just says call the repair number and that number is automated and says "we will have someone come in 24 to 48 hours". Because nobody is there on the weekends. Nobody cleans the washers btw. I would highly recommend the clean wave on El segundo by the McDonald's. The owner is always there and he's SO nice ! He loves to ask if you need help and always keeps the place super clean and all the machines are always working. They also have a card machine which makes it easy to use all the machines.

[Parking]: Free and easy strip mall parking. [Amenity]: Restroom is available, but user must insert one quarter to use it. Soap/bleach/softener dispenser is not working. There's only one TV and it was playing local ABC news. I also spotted gum ball machines and a massage chair. [Washing machines]: ALL machines only accept quarters (no electronic payment) and the laundromat has functional change machines. For triple load washer, the maximum capacity is 35 lbs & $5.25 for 36-minute cold wash. Last wash ends at 7:30 PM. [Drying machines]: Just like washing machines, all drying machines only take quarters. User must first fill up each drying machine, insert a quarter, select a temperature (high, perm press, and low), and then the door will close due to suction (no clicking sound when door is closed). $0.25 for a 8-minute session. [Fluff and fold]: For clothes it's $1.75 per pound ($13 minimum). For comforters and blankets = $18 each for under 5 lbs, $21 each for 5 lbs to 7 lbs, and $24 each for 7 lbs to 10 lbs (?). They also have carts to use when bringing your laundry to and from your car. There are several different sized machines offering a good selection for what you may need. A standard clothes washing was $3, a larger washer for towels, blankets was $5.25. They also offer fluff & fold. The place is clean and I had a very pleasant experience when I asked for help when a machine wasn't immediately working. Turns out, the door was clicking shut. If you're in need of laundry service, this is a good option.

Fyi if its your first time, make sure to get a laundry card from the kiosk next to the vending machines. I saw on Yelp that they accept Apple Pay and tried to tap my phone onto the reader on the machines without realizing you need a laundry card. The woman cleaning was so extremely rude. She turned the lights off on me and 5 other people. Forced us to remove our wet laundry and insisted we get the F*** out. What set this business apart from others is their attitude and customer service. The first time you bring in laundry they give you a bag with a personalized tag identifying the contents to a particular customer). They keep you informed by text message when the laundry is ready for pick up. I guess I've been there frequently enough that they know my name when I walk in. I've dealt with many laundries over the years and this is the first time this happens. And they really thank their customers for their patronage. There are occasional specials and deals that are delivered by text message and in person. I've taken advantage of many of these and appreciate the savings. One of the best is occasional comforter washing for $27, about half price from the regular charge. That definitely gets my business. They also repair clothing and accepts leather goods for cleaning by one of their partners. I get occasional ads stating they do shoe repair and cleaning, and even purses. Parking if available directly outside their business. Most times parking is conveniently located. They also deliver locally but, frankly I've never used this service as my availability at home is not great. But for others it's a good idea, especially for those who don't drive or need the convenience.
