From the very beginning, the director and teachers in my daughter's classroom created a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where she is genuinely cared for every single day. As a working parent, there is no greater gift than the peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is safe, happy, and in caring hands. Every morning, I drop my daughter off with complete confidence, and every afternoon, I pick up a happy little girl. That sense of trust and reassurance means more to our family than words can express. The site director, Sandra, has built something truly special. Her leadership is reflected in every member of the staff, who consistently demonstrate kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for the children they serve. We are incredibly grateful for the care they provide our daughter every day. The peace of mind they give our family is invaluable, and I wholeheartedly recommend the Broadstone location to any parent looking for exceptional childcare. I also want to give a special thank you to Ms. Leah. My daughter loves her, and her care and kindness have made a meaningful difference in our experience.

This review is long overdue, and I feel compelled to share our experience at Sunshine Preschool to…read moreensure that no other child endures what my son has faced. My child attended this preschool from August to December 2024, and as a parent of a child on the spectrum, I was hopeful and optimistic about his experience. I communicated my son's struggles with new environments to Jennifer, who assured me that everything would be fine. While my son did have a challenging start, after three weeks, he began to adjust and thrive. We received weekly pictures and kind messages from Jennifer, which reassured me during tougher days. However, a few months in, I noticed unsettling changes in my son's behavior. As any parent of a child on the spectrum knows, regression can happen for various reasons, and I initially attributed it to illness and the challenges of being around new peers. I tried to address these behaviors at home, relying on strategies I learned from his previous occupational therapist. Then, an alarming incident occurred. After picking him up one day, my son revealed that a classmate--whom we'll refer to as Student A--had hit him. When I asked if he informed the teacher, he said yes, and described how Student A could be both nice and mean. I didn't think much of it at the time, believing the teachers had handled the situation. But then, on December 29, everything changed. My son came to me in distress, saying that Student A was bullying him, throwing things at him, and even touching him inappropriately. He confided that he hadn't told me sooner because he feared that Student A would come to our house and harm us and our dog. Shockingly, he said this threat originated from his teacher. My son was in turmoil, hyperventilating and terrified of the repercussions of speaking out. This incident has fundamentally altered my son's ability to play and interact with others, not only at school but even at the park. We immediately brought this to Jennifer's attention, as well as to our son's doctor. While Jennifer initially reached out, I later sent her a detailed email outlining the entire incident, yet to this day, I have not received a response. I filed a report, but the unfortunate reality is that the young ages of the children involved make it difficult to pursue any action--especially when the teachers deny any wrongdoing. It's disheartening and infuriating. My son has been profoundly affected by this experience, requiring therapy and now grappling with trauma that could have been prevented. I urge parents to carefully consider their options when selecting a preschool. Ensure that your child will be protected and supported. My son deserved better, and no child should have to endure what he went through. Please, take this into account when making your decision. Your child's safety and well-being depend on it. I'm also willing to show anyone proof of the messages that were sent back and forth to Jennifer ( the messages contain more details of the incident that happened)

We recently completed our family's journey at Guidepost after about five years there, and we can confidently say it was one of the best investments we made in their education. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!! This place is a fraud…read more Guidepost Montessori at Folsom is a sham and does not even deserve 1 star. They will steal your money. This is not a school, but more like an overpriced and unqualified daycare. When I informed the administration of my complaints, they proceeded to defend their inadequate staff due to nepotism and did not refund my money for the month my kids did not attend due to bullying and poor teaching conditions. The elementary program has one teacher, Ms. Sangeetha, who encourages bullying, shame and treats her students with humiliation, as described by my 6 year old daughter at the time (she is 7 now and has vivid memories and stories of the terrible situation at that school). There is no learning, no homework or evidence that your child is even learning. I also reported Ms Sangeetha's inappropriate behavior of inviting my daughter on field trips without parental consent and not scheduling any meetings with us as parents to review my daughter's progress. My second child was in the toddler children's house with Ms Eva, who from my understanding, is not a Montessori trained teacher but rather simply the mother of another student in Ms Sangeetha's class. I reported Ms Eva and her assistant as being cold and ineffective. My 4 year old son informed us that both teachers left the children alone for long periods of time. He had a horrible experience and felt very neglected. He had a fall and giant knot/bump on his head on his first week there. Ms Eva also was an emotional wreck, who appeared to be crying on a daily basis. The staff that is hired here is questionable. There are "field trips" planned without parent consent or permission slips. My daughter had an accident at school and soiled herself and not one staff member alerted us or helped her. Our experience at this school was horrible and I am considering to take legal action based on the money that was taken from me and the neglect faced by my kids.

A True Gem in Early Childhood Education…read more If you are looking for a preschool where your child is truly seen, loved, and inspired, look no further. The owner, Sherri Berry at The Berry Patch, is a total gem. She is incredibly caring and compassionate, but what sets her apart is how she perfectly balances a nurturing heart with true kindergarten readiness. She has a unique gift for making learning feel like an adventure. Sherri doesn't just teach; she engages their imagination with brilliant hands-on activities like "catching clouds" and nature scavenger hunts. She even brings literature to life--my kids still talk about the day they ate real Green Eggs and Ham! Most importantly, she ensures they are socially and academically prepared for kindergarten. She teaches them how to be good friends and confident learners. My biggest piece of advice to parents: Do not rush to leave for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). One of my biggest parenting regrets was enrolling my younger son in TK as soon as it became available. I wish I would have kept him at The Berry Patch for another year. The difference was night and day. In TK, he was placed in a much larger class and received significantly less one-on-one attention. He missed out on the personalized, magical experience he would have had if he stayed in Sherri's care for that final year. Sherri provides a level of dedication you simply won't find in a large public school setting. If you have the chance to enroll your child here, take it -- it is the best gift you can give them!
