Heav'nly has reopened recently so I decided to give it another try. Talk about a 180 degree turnaround, they completely blow Dunkin' out of the water. I was a regular customer at the Heavenly in North Reading until one morning a rude worker. I ordered my normal bagel with cream cheese, i requested to the lady taking my order that I did not want my bagel wrapped just place it inside the bag. I over heard the lady ask the other older lady to place it inside the bag do not wrap it, once the bagel was done the woman who toasted the bagel was holding my bagel and the wrapper under it and she asked the lady who took the order "what am I suppose to do with this" the lady AGAIN told her "just place it in the bag don't wrap it" so the lady with the bagel very ignorant wrapped it and threw it inside the bag and shoved it to me. All the other workers are great! especially the young girls. I believe she just wanted to show off to the other co-worker because there's no reason to do that. read more

Not great, not bad, but consistent. Think of your local bakery, or a certain chain before it got dressed up to go nationwide. Heav'nly Donuts has reasonable prices for coffee and donuts, and offers a selection of bakery-related treats. I always get a coconut donut and, thankfully, they never seem to run out. My coffee is always fresh, and, a word of caution, very, very hot. Not a lot of atmosphere here, but I'm not sure patrons come for that, or for an "experience." Consistently wonderful, friendly staff and delicious breakfast sandwiches, donuts and coffee. I am so thankful that our neighborhood has something besides a Dunkin to turn to when I am craving a cruller or a cream-filled donut. They even have massive cronuts, and they are to die for! Went there on a whim, ordered 2 egg sandwiches, 2 donuts and bagel and cream cheese. After 15 minutes of waiting they asked what my sandwiches were. I told them and waited longer, after a few minutes there was a bag on the table and the woman I talked to was no where to be found. Never said my name or anything. Got home and found out they forgot my bagel and cream cheese. Went back, and they said they were out of that bagel and claimed they never charged me for it, even though I checked my order before I paid. It disheartens me to have to downgrade this place, especially since several years ago I'd come here 3-4 times a week and stay for hours to study (buying food or coffee every few hours). But on too many occasions my bagel was so burnt it was inedible. This morning I had already gotten home before opening the bag, so I didn't go back to complain. They put cream cheese on it, so obviously they saw how charred it was! (They also put hardly any cream cheese on it.) I enjoy coming here and have never had a problem with any order - coffee, donuts, sandwiches etc. However, they claim they provide free WiFi - and they do not. They have an open guest network that won't let you connect just leading to frustrating experiences for anyone wanting to do some work. Please fix that situation - what coffee shop doesn't offer internet access to it's patrons? Any inquiry to staff about the wifi has not been helpful or remedied the situation. Just take note - great place to grab a coffee, poor place to spend more than 5min in line. read more

Mmmmm! Those are good donuts! So I tried these donuts yesterday for the first time. I bought 3 1. The buttermilk donut was DELICIOUS- 5 stars. Nice semi-crunch with the outer glaze and soft cake texture inside. Will be ordering that one again 2. Chocolate honey dip, a classic and a disappointment. It was pretty dry :( 3 stars. Just experienced the worst customer experience I've had in several years by the manager(maybe he is the owner) of the location. First, he told me how I ordered was wrong! He told me how I should order as if I was a young child! Lastly, I mistakenly said munchkins instead of donut holes...this is when the manager just lost it!!!!! He got very rude...its a shame because I have heard many people have had similar experiences with him and he has a reputation and has lost many customers due to this. Not only do you walk away with a awful experience but in front of 10 customers is embarrassing...I just want my coffee!!! I highly suggest going to other places in Reading or North Reading. Made my first quick-stop at this brand new shop this morning. The building is really nice - I love the architecture and the landscaping they've done. The interior looks quite comfortable as well and I look forward to trying the food and writing a full review at a later time. But first impressions are important as well. Today I hit the drive through in lieu of my usual stop at Dunkin'. I was promptly greeted by the soft-spoken speaker and placed my order for a larg hot with milk and three Equals. At the window I got a nice "Good Morning" and then was ignored in favor of collegial conversation while the young barista prepared my cup. Traffic on exit was only a minor delay but the real disappointment came a few minutes later on the highway when I took the first sip of my coffee and found that the sweetener had been forgotten. Now in this time of wars and tornadoes and a rescheduled rapture, I realize that unsweetened coffee is not the biggest concern for the world but... The first thing a coffee shop has to do to retain my business is to get it right. read more

I usually drive by here everyday after work but never got the chance to try it out. Since I am on vacation for a whole week, I decided to come by and check it out this morning. What caught my eyes when I first walked in were the amazing pastries they had. So many goodies to choose from plus the donuts behind the counter. I decided to get their apple cinnamon muffin and a French vanilla iced coffee. The muffin taste amazing. It was not too sweet but perfectly sweetened. It had apples baked in the middle. As for the coffee, it tasted too watered down. Even with the cream and sugar, the coffee still didn't really had that much of a flavor. I noticed an older gentleman behind the counter taking orders and remembering every customers name and their orders. That is great customer service. That deserves a 10 star. For an employee to remember the names and orders of every customers that he sees, is absolutely amazing. That makes you feel welcomed and wanted there unlike DD/Starbucks. read more

If I choose to drink my Ice coffee with no ice( which mind you I ordered 5 coffees)...what gives them the right to charge me for an extra large size when I ordered a large? The girl stated if there is no ice in the ice coffees they size up. I'm appalled. No manager to speak to. These children working the counters were handling everything with no gloves on, no cleaning supplies to speak of. Boyfriend talking to one girl that was initially waiting on me. We are in COVID. I get the maple cinnamon french toast iced coffee and it. is. amazing! I mean I like the sweet... can hardly taste the coffee... type of coffee! and this is like heaven- it tastes just like french toast. Also, one of the girls working at the window is so incredibly nice! Everytime I pull up to get my coffee she has a conversation with me and is always smiling... this is something you do not see at any of the local dunkins ha. every time that I walk into the store I am greeted with a smile. Mike and every other employee who is working always greet me whether they are serving me or another customer. Once they say hello they always start my order. On the few occasions that I have accidentally left a part of my order, the next day I wasn't charged for that particular item. Two caveats: I am not a donut person. Nor am I really a coffee person. However, Heav'nly is a stop with the morning carpool, so usually I'll pick something off the menu for breakfast. I heard a friend rave about the ham and cheese croissant. The one time I've been able to have a ham and cheese croissant, it was good. They didn't heat it up so the cheese was solidified and I was able to eat it all in one bite, but it was still good. Subsequent trips have been quite disappointing. I'll order it, drive around to the window, and only THEN does someone tell me that they're out. REALLY? You don't know that when I'm ordering and can't tell me then? I'm sure that if I actually went in instead of hit the drive thru, it might be different, but we stop here SPECIFICALLY because of the drive thru. Hazelnut cinnamon coffee? Thought it sounded like an interesting mix that would be good... but boy was I wrong. Oh, and expect to come very close to a head-on collision or someone doing a 3-point turn at the entrance because their turning radius sucks and they can't fit through the u-turn that you basically need to do to get into this place if you're coming in from 62. Bad design for a parking lot. I'm willing to try again, but if they keep finding themselves out of my go-to breakfast item at 6:30 am, it may stop being our go-to place. read more

Stopped by the heavenly donut's in Wilmington yesterday. I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this place, since I am a coffee nut. LOVED IT!! I had the Banana Fosters Ice Coffee and it was one of the best coffees Ive had in a long time. So tired of the subpar coffee and horrible customer services you get these days from the chain stores. The young lady working the drive thru was super pleasant, smiled and thanked me. You dont get that kind of customer service these days. Caveats on this review: this visit was in the middle of their first week and it was the drive-thru, not in-store. Docking a point and a half on the tight drive-thru and narrow parking lot. No street parking close by; Kitty's is across a very busy Rt 60. The parking/drive thru experience was not much fun. Another point comes off for the donut. The very pleasant drive-thru cashier explained that all pastries (except donuts) were baked on site. The donut I had came from the Haverhill location, supposedly baked in the morning. It was disappointing, and didn't taste very fresh. Perhaps I just chose unwisely this time. My iced coffee was good, a bit heavy on the cream, but my bad for not directing degree of lightness. Overall, there are a few hitches to be worked out. I will go back to try other items, and see if the traffic lightens as time goes on. I would definetly return! I'm very glad that we have another coffee shop in town and hope other local yelpers share their opinions on other items; there are great comments about various fritters and egg sandwiches at Heav'nly Donuts other locations. read more

Best donuts around!!! Welcome to N Reading!! My favorite: the Heavenly Special. ... A cream filled glazed donut. I really like their whipped cream filling ... not too sweet, not too fatty. Just right !! Reminds me of the old freshly baked Dunkin Donuts. I even prefer Heavenly Donuts over Donna's Donuts in Tewksbury. I have NO idea how anyone has given this less than at least four stars. I will happily say I am a regular here, I go every single day to get coffee and the staff is exceptionally excellent. The manager is certainly one of the nicest guys I have ever met, I love going in the days he is there, he is phenomenal. I could never go back to Dunks after going here- I had a coffee from there the other day and it tasted so watered-down and terrible. Not to mention Heav'nly Donuts has an entire list of flavors and Dunkin' Donuts has like... 6? And then some seasonal flavors? Heav'nly has a huge list year-round. This is the best place in the area to get coffee from, hands down. If you're going to get a coffee today GO HERE!! Love this place, old big band, Sinatra soundtrack, every kind of donut, bagel, sandwich you could want. Girls that work here are sweet and patient, watched them handle a bus load of special needs customers with grace and lots of smiles.
