I stopped at Beyond Bagels for lunch while waiting for my car to be worked on. It's a small place with a few tables, but nice & clean. The food was very good. I ordered the Collosseum (they need to check their spelling there), which is an Italian sandwich. It was well-stuffed with excellent cold cuts and toasted nicely. The raisin bagel was great, firm, but not like a rock. It actually contained a generous amount of raisins (I've had some which had very few). I also ordered a strawberry smoothie. It was light and well-made but the strawberry flavor was very weak. I doubt they used any strawberries there, so it was missing that extra zing. The staff is very nice, helpful & efficient. After an unfortunate morning at a Dunkin and having them mess up my order I came here for a bagel and I'm so glad I did. I was in and out in under 5 min the service was wonderful and quite refreshing after coming from Dunkin. I got a plain with plain and it was great. It had a crisp and crunchy outer shell and beautifully soft inside. And paired the perfect amount of cream cheese. Also my bagel and cream cheese was only 2$ which you really can beat. read more

Came this morning since next to my work. Strayed away from my normal place. And sad I did to say the least. The cold brew french vanilla was good. But the bacon egg and cheese lacked. The bagel was lukewarm warm and doughy and there was one strip of bacon for full sandwich. If I'm going to give small shop my business over Dunkin' should not skimp on bacon from bacon egg cheese bagel sandwich. I wouldn't go back personally wasn't enough for me to come back. read more

Good bagels, is it bagel world? No. The bagels are good though and the service is excellent.

I have been going here a couple times a month on average for several months, when seeing clients in North reading. Their bagels and bagel sandwiches are delicious and you can tell freshly made. Their baked goods are also pretty good. I will say their coffee and smoothies (I think from mix) are just ok, I would prefer a beverage from most other coffee shops . But friendly, quick service and they do live up to their name for the bagels themselves so I will continue to go there for lunch when I have clients in the area read more

I live down the street from this place and always drive by it daily but never stopped in. I got an egg, bacon and cheese on a croissant. It was really good and fresh. The croissant was really fresh baked with a nice buttery flakey top. It's pretty big versus a regular sized croissant. I would definitely come back to discover the rest of the menu. Pretty good bagels...only disappointment is that they only take cash and don't take cards. But there is an ATM there.

Just had a bowl of Italian wedding soup and was excellent. I eat a lot of soup in the winter for lunch and this was one of the best. Got 5 good sized meatballs and loaded with Vegs, escarole and dot pasta. Not as good as my moms because she Adds chicken ...but still the best I've had in a while! We went to Beyond Bagels for the first time this morning and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a dozen assorted bagels and three kinds of cream cheese (Salsa jalapeño, scallion bacon, and honey walnut). Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The prices were very reasonable. The only inconvenience is that it is cash only! Luckily I had cash with me this morning. We have been looking for a solid bagel place close to Andover and we finally found it! The bagels here are good, the coffee is not. If a bagel place needs to get one thing right, it's fresh bagels, and Beyond Bagels has some tasty bagels. Every day they put out a finite number of freshly-baked bagels, and they stay open till they sell them out. That's a good sign. Their coffee and espresso, on the other hand, just isn't particularly good. I'm almost certain it's the beans they use, since everything else is done by machine. I've tried the cappuccino, espresso macchiato, and iced coffee, and all had roughly the same taste. It's frustrating, because they have an espresso machine right there and everything... like... they've invested in an expensive espresso machine, then never bothered to get good coffee beans. I'd really recommend their sandwiches, particularly the ruben. I haven't had a sandwich from them yet that wasn't tasty and satisfying, and it feels like all of their strengths come together with their sandwich menu. All options use sliced deli meats - so like, sliced corn beef, sliced turkey, sliced roast beef - so it's nothing you haven't tasted before, but again, it's good. The freshly-baked bagel as bread is really what elevates the whole thing. That said, I've gotten a single bagel toasted with cream cheese before, and it's pretty disappointing. The bagel wasn't really toasted at all, and there was a thin layer of cream cheese that you'd normally only put on one half, rather than spread across both. You're better just buying six bagels and a container of cream cheese and doing it yourself. So, yeah, I'm going to keep coming back here for the sandwiches and the occasional bag of half-dozen bagels. read more

YUM! I live in Oregon, but I grew up in Andover, Ma. Boy do I miss good bagels. I have been here before so that is why I returned today. You know when you go into a place wondering how it stays in business and then come to the conclusion it must be a drop spot because that's the only way it could make money? Well that was my thoughts on this place. Maybe that's why it's cash only.... Monday morning at 745 and literally no one is there. The help is in the back when I get in and have to wait . Then the person helping messed up my coffee order and I had to correct her (which by the way my order was iced with whole milk) Everything bagel with light cream cheese was basically on par with dunkins... I've worked in the area for several years and have been really wanting to try this place but I just never think to stop. Finally this morning my boyfriend and I stopped in. At first it looked promising. There was a decent selection of items to choose from and the place appeared clean and quaint. However, from that point forward it went down hill. I noticed that they have "cash only" signs up everywhere. It's 2015 for goodness sake....I hardly know anyone who carries cash anymore. Still, if the food was great than that nuisance could certainly be overlooked. We proceed to order . No they can't do a decaf latte. No, they don't know what flavor shots they have - go read the bottles. Their toaster is broken so they can't toast the bagel. I watch as they crack an egg into what looks like a styrofoam bowl and microwave it. Communicating with the woman running the counter was also challenging since her English was just so-so but she was polite at the very least. My boyfriend was so relieved when I turned to him and said that we could just stop at Dunkin Donuts to get our coffee since it would be cheaper and I could get decaf. I got to work and tried the breakfast sandwich I had purchased. The bagel was rubbery (probably would have been better if it had been toasted) and the rest of the sandwich was mediocre at best. Based on the reviews on here I am tempted to try their lunch but it's not it's not very likely. read more

LOVE the coffee here. Butterscotch coffee all the way, hot or iced. The Chicken Cesar wrap- oh so good! and I think they have good soup too -but its been a while. I used to work down the street from here and would stop at least once a week (sometimes 2x in one day) for their delicious coffee and friendly service;I really miss this place! Occasionally I will go out of my way for a nostalgic cup of coffee and bagel and reminisce about the good old days when my commute included driving past Beyond Bagels. The inside is cute and tidy. Generally I grab-n-go, but there are a number of tables available and often at least one party sitting down to enjoy their food. The parking lot is small and can be a nightmare to get out of if you are trying to cross 28...but its well worth it. read more

We just moved to the area and was told this place was a go-to for bagels/breakfast/sandwiches. I went in a little before lunch time and was the only one there...Service was friendly and quick and I even got a "free" soda because I was there before noon. I'll take it! The bagel I got was decent, cream cheese was good, but I couldn't even eat the lox. It was just extremely fishy (maybe I'm a bit too picky). I had to take it off the bagel sandwich. Beyond Bagels has solid bagel sandwiches. I really like the All American. Turkey, ham swiss, lettuce, tomatoe, and horseradish spread. Delicious! Their smoothies are really good too. Terrible experience. I accidentally ordered "scallion" cream cheese instead of chive and they threw a temper tantrum when I clarified that it was regular scallion and not bacon after it was made, only due to an allergy. They threw the first bagel out aggressively in the trash and loudly exclaimed "NOW I HAVE TO THROW IT OUT." all while rolling their eyes and showing extreme frustration despite being told the only reason for the precautions was for an allergy. I used to really like this place but it seems like they went from service oriented to money focused. They are very rude, don't mind yelling at you in front of other customers, and belittle you if you make any clarifications, comments, or point out an error. I won't be back. read more

Used to go here a lot, 9 years or so ago. So much the lady behind counter would start making the order before I actually ordered and paid 2-3 days a week. One day didn't have cash and tried credit. The guy looked at me and said we don't take credit. I said I don't have cash today. He said sorry I can't let you have ur food. I continued to say ok I have to leave, he just tossed the bag in the garbage as I walked out. I'd say since I'm there so often why not say pay next time, instead of just throwing it away like a moron. Have not been back and just stumbled on it's yelp review and yep, same things are still happening. Why do people support such poor business. Service - absolutely horrid. The woman behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me as she was making someone else's coffee, and then another customer walked in and she immediately recognized him and asked him what he wanted today. He was clearly a regular, but she could have acknowledged me before taking his order. She did come back and take my order before getting his coffee... The bagel was horrible. It was worse than 2 day old bagels from Stop & Shop. I literally took 2 bites and threw it away, not worth the waste of my calories. read more

Fast and yummy! I love bagel sandwiches, so one day I ran in to give this place a try. I always get the same thing, chicken salad on an everything bagel toasted with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lastly sprouts (not available here). The board menus were a bit confusing to read because some were listed directly in front, and others to the side on a smaller sign, but as long as they had chicken salad (two kinds!), I was happy.
