An old style donut shop that we decided to stop by while we were in the area. We got a dosant, butter crunch, and strawberry donut. The dosant which is a hybrid of donut and croissant was huge and surprisingly really good. A fluffy croissant with a glazed donut coating. I would definitely get it again if I was in the area. The other two donuts were also good, but nothing you wouldn't be able to find at your local donut shop. The service was quick and we were in and out within a few minutes. Replaced good service with an AI slopbot that consistently states it has certain food/drinks prepared when it doesn't. This leads to more time wasted when an actual person needs to take over, explain what they have, and re-do the order. Or an order is processed anyway and there's confusion at the window or a wrong order. For a company that prides itself on being local, replacing jobs with a chatbot is a classic bland big chain move. The food is always fresh and made per order. The service was so good today. Two young girls were great. Except when there was no toilet paper in the ladies room. The poor girls looked everywhere for some and couldn't find any. I ended up using the men's room which wasn't my first choice. The donuts are very good and they're definitely bigger than what you get at Dunkin' Donuts. They're more expensive but they're better. Just don't go early Sunday mornings. The site says they open at 5:30 but I've gone there at about 6:15 and they don't have any donuts out yet. You get a baker's dozen, not a regular dozen so that's a nice bonus. read more

Exceptional customer service!! I had placed an order through DoorDash and there was a small issue. DoorDash told me to place another order instead of offering to fix the issue, that was Doordash's fault. My mom drove down there for me and the woman was so sweet, corrected the order with no issues and even gave her a free coffee for the "inconvenience", which again was not the actual restaurants fault. read more

We stopped in on our way to Tewksbury for a doctor's appt right before the Nemo blizzard of 2013. This isn't a rip on them not being prepared for the blizzard, who knew people went on donut runs prior to being stuck inside for a few days? However, they were REALLY low on donuts, like they literally had no more than a dozen left overall, so there wasn't much to pick from. But that isn't the reason for the three-star review at all.....I was simply unimpressed with what we received in lieu of the donuts. The cream of the crop was the LAST blueberry cruller I picked up. I thought there could possibly be something wrong with it but nope, we just got lucky on the timing. Real blueberries throughout and a scrumptious sweetness and snap to every bite, I'd drive back up that way just to pick up a half dozen of these suckers. The hot chocolate was meh, nothing special to write home about. The girls behind the counter were super nice to load it up with whipped cream again as we were walking out but this was certainly not the star of the show. I believe I overheard they were low on coffee also so I didn't even ask if they were brewing, next time I'll give that a try. The breakfast sandwich was mediocre as well. The everything bagel has a slight staleness to it and wasn't as soft as I would have liked it to be. I have no idea if it was because we were there 5-6 hrs after they opened or if they are consistently that way. The meat and egg at least looked more real than your typical D&D sandwich but I wish I was offered an option of some salt and/or pepper since it needed more flavoring. Finally, the strawberry croissant was devoid of any FILLING! There was a small amount of one end after it was bit into but 3/4 of it had no berry-yum-yums. Again, this was one of only a handful left on the shelves at the time, hopefully they aren't always like this. read more

Great doughnuts, lots of choices, had the chocolate cream filled and it was amazing, loved their coffee.

I always pass this place on my way to the spa, but it's always closed at that hour (6:30 pm in the evening). As I was in the area during the afternoon today, I am finally glad to try the donuts from Heav'nly Donuts this weekend! I got three for myself: chocolate honey dipped, Boston cream, and red velvet. I haven't had the Boston cream yet, but so far so good! This place is also packed. There is a long line of cars for the drive through. However, if you park in their tiny lot, you may get blocked in. Also getting out of the lot (especially if turning left) can also be quite a challenge as the road it is on is quite congested. read more

FAR FROM HEAVENLY.. Awful service. Waited 10 minutes for an egg and cheese sandwich that I never received because the girls who were handling the food rather hang out in a corner than actually prepare the food. Noticed they messed up a couple orders for the people at the drive through also. This was my second time here. There's no excuse for bad service when you have 4 people working a morning shift. I've seen better service at dunks with only one person on and still getting their job done. Don't think I'll be returning and will make sure to inform people of their subpar service. read more

The sandwiches are good...when they make them right. "No cheese" - there's cheese every single time. If you order at the drive thru, you have to repeat everything at the window. Why do they even bother? Not a single employee inside this restaurant wears a mask while preparing food. Been by here a few times I was so looking forward to try the donut of the month Caribbean rum unfortunately it ended up being the coffee flavor of the month. I ended up with a regular ice coffee which was so-so. And I got a few donuts nothing special. The place was clean. The employees seem polite and nice. Parking was no problem in a private lot. I've been to this particular location on two occasions (while my car is being detailed at King Triton's next door). On both occasions I've had their iced coffee. I absolutely love that they have so many flavors, and that the flavors are not syrups. They are brewed directly in! Yum! I've tried the brownie toffee crunch, and the chocolate cappuccino. Stop in Wilmington Heavenly Donuts about once a week when in the area today (Thursday March 1 arrived around 11:00 am to buy a coffee and breakfast sandwich , well went to order and the man who was on a ladder doing something with the overhead lights jumped down to take my order well first thing is to wash your hands ,which he didn't changed my order to just a coffee and don't plan on returning anytime soon , what ever happened to common sense and washing before touching customers food orders etc read more

Ive been coming here almost daily for years but it's going down hill. I have a multitude of problems with this Heavenly. the service is never really good with exception to a few people who take their job seriously there. They usually have 5+ workers yet I'm always waiting 5+ mins for one coffee. Why have so many workers if some are just standing around having a conversation with each other? sometimes i don't even get acknowledged the first 5 minutes i'm standing there, i have to stand and look around the lobby awkwardly because nobody apparently "noticed" me standing there. The prices are only going up. I used to pay about $2.45 for a medium iced coffee, then it went up once more, and now it's been raised again to $3.09. i'm $2 away from going to get a better coffee from starbucks, one i can ensure will always be correct. I used to get cream and splenda in my coffee but the workers could NEVER make it the way i asked. (how hard is 3 creamers, 2 splenda?) because of this, i now order my coffee black and have to make it myself. not only do they not make it correctly, 7/10 my coffee isn't the right flavor. i strictly order one flavor and majority of the time it's the not the one i ordered. (order irish cream, usually receive hazelnut). this happens WAY more often than one would think. i work in the restaurant business and have worked in a coffee shop similar to heavenly before; it's hard but it's NOT that hard! these workers make it seem like it's rocket science to make a good coffee and to pour the RIGHT flavor in the cup! The final straw for me and the reason i'm writing this review is because this morning i went and they've now closed their lobby. The workers absolutely do not work fast enough or efficient enough to now close the lobby and keep only the drive thru open. i go inside and order my coffee because some people DO NOT have time to wait for people ahead of them to get there 6 breakfast sandwiches. it already takes them 5 years to make one and now i have to wait when i all i wanted is a black coffee? I'm very disappointed with the service and prices this last year and hope it changes for the better. the north reading heavenly is equal distance from my house and they are SUBSTANTIALLY better! read more
