The parking garage is easy enough to find, but once inside the signs showing where Hechalou is located are easy to miss. That said, once you're there it is awesome! Love the decor and vibe, and love how tea forward their drinks are. I got the oolong while my wife got house special milk tea. Both were delicious, but the star is the jelly! Never thought we would have a Hechalou open here since I feel it's on a lowkey side of franchises in the U.S. My first experience was in SoCal in the 626 area and thought their jellies were good. This place is located under an apartment complex near the lightrail so it may be a bit tricky to go into, the second obstacle is parking since it's an apt complex. The tea was good and the Thai tea jelly wasn't too sweet. I also ordered the waffles and 3 small pieces was a nice treat as the texture and flavor were nice. read more

I have been here three times in the last three days, and I think I might go again today. I love the house milk tea with black sesame jelly. The staff here are really friendly, especially Katelyn! She let us sample all the different jellies and was able to give great recommendations on what to order. The shop's parking is a little hidden and hard to navigate from, but the shop is cute and clean. The posters on the walls also have a bunch of information about the drinks they serve. This is my second time at hechalou. First time was when they first opened and I still remembered the 40min wait there for a drink and it wasn't impressive either. Today I actually went inside to order four drinks. The girls who worked there seemed so lost . They were checking on the drink labels many times and still hadn't filled one drink. WOW! It's way busier than I thought, but the wait is short. Their milk teas and jelly are great! The jelly is the standout best milk tea compliment. All the other Matcha and tea places have some serious competition from Hechalou. Come for the MILK tea & don't skimp on the jelly. Theyve got a few different jelly flavors, and so far all seem great! First time here and it was great! I got the Geisha peach black tea latte with Thai tea jelly. Wow, this is definitely the best peach tea I've ever had, it doesn't taste syrupy. The tea latte has the right balance of bitter and sweetness from the peach to balance out. The Thai jelly was delicious and perfect combo for me since I love Thai tea. The jelly is soft like pudding so it can be slurp with a straw. I will definitely come back to try more! read more

Visited on opening weekend. I ordered the House Blend Milk Tea with tea jelly and another with yin yang jelly. The tea itself was okay, but I really didn't enjoy the yin yang jelly, the texture made it hard to get any jelly until the end of the drink when it's on sinking down, so it felt like I had to rush to finish it. I also tried the egg puff, which unfortunately tasted a bit doughy inside. I might come back once things settle down to give them another chance after the opening-weekend rush. read more

Having found this place on Instagram I saw they had different flavor jellies with their drink I wanted to try. First time I came I got their house blend milk tea with sesame jelly and was pleasantly pleased with my drink! This is my go to tea shop in Arizona. Originally from Taiwan, this shop offers a variety of teas and toppings. I love the selection of jellies which includes osmanthus, black sesame and almond jelly. The thing that make this place stand out is that they actually brew each tea drink individually. The tea doesn't come out of a jug. The shop also offers open seating if you want to study or work inside. Seating does fill up as this shop is located in an apartment complex and close to the ASU campus. read more

As somebody with high expectations on tea quality, this place did a great job. I've had drinks from this chain in Taiwan and the quality carried over to this location. We got a black tea with sesame jelly and a milk tea with tea jelly. The sesame jelly is pronounced and a great addition, while the milk tea (even with 30% sugar) had a strong tea taste (which is very rare to find). Prices are reasonable for what you're getting. The shop itself definitely has a consistent aesthetic and there are places to sit and relax. I personally didn't find the parking bad at all, in fact, it was great that it was in a parking garage with the heat. Plenty of spots and signage, just need to enter in the right spot. read more

I was hoping this would become our go-to boba spot, but sadly this will not be the case. Tonight we had ordered two of the number one drink on the menu. The two girls working tonight had made the incorrect drinks. To their credit they tried to rectify the situation by having us pay the difference for the drinks we wanted with their managers approval. Unfortunately for us the manager they called had them tell us our only option is to pay again for the drinks we had originally ordered. I felt the need to write this review because of poor managerial and business practice. Since we found this place, we've been coming back cause we like the drinks. But today, they messed up my husband's order by entering the wrong order. Mind you it's their mistake. They wanted us to refund the first order and do another order for 85 cents more. Out of courtesy for their mistake, they could have just made the drink instead of doing the hassle. I know for sure I don't like the almond one. Just tastes strange to me. I found this place from a video on TikTok. I recently moved for the SF Bay Area to Phoenix and I have been desperately looking for a tea shop that comes close to the shops we had in the bay. I've looked for months and have been disappointed up until yesterday when I visited Hechalou. What an amazing surprise and dare I say I haven't tasted boba this delicious even in the Bay Area. So the shop is located on the bottom floor of an apartment complex but there's plenty of free parking within the complex in the garage. A quick easy walk into the shop once you park. I loved that! Next, the shop is super cute with plenty of seating. I loved the emerald green color of the interior and the decorations were a very nice touch. Let's talk about the tea! I'm very familiar with different types of teas and the different toppings and this place offered toppings I have never heard of before, which was very exciting to me. Jellies is the name of the game in this place. There are so many types of jelly toppings to choose from, it's incredible!! So I got the house milk tea with sesame jelly for my first visit. My daughter got the lychee black tea with aloe (requested without aloe) and added honey boba instead. Now I've never had sesame jelly before but it's was delicious mixed with the house tea which was on point. Creamy with no bitterness. My daughter's lychee on the other hand was out of this world good. Strong lychee taste but not artificial at all, very smooth, and not overly sweet. Both teas were absolutely amazing! The service was good and we were meet with thank you and smiles upon picking up our order which was nice. So there was an issue with my daughter's drink which was that we requested no Aloe jelly in her drink but it was added anyways. Simple mistake but just something we will take note of next time we come by. Also, I loved the jelly options but I was hoping to see crystal boba and egg pudding as one of the toppings offered.
