They are professional, extremely intense workers, courteous, do exactly what they say they are going to do, and the greatest dollar bargain of all the companies we reviewed! They have a 4.6 overall rating for '400 moves from all reporting sites. It was interesting for us to note that Hector & Sons either received a perfect score of 5 or a 1-which proves that you can't please everyone, and those few can drag down the blended rating. We found that the "& Sons" is not as in a catchy name, but a generational heritage begun by Hector and now sustained by his 4 sons, and other industrious family members. "A family business" truly means something of pride of building a business out of nothing, and a respect for their customers, and at the same time not disappointing other family members. I noted that many of the 1 ratings specifically mentioned having to pay cash without saying how much lower the overall cost was due to not having to finance moves with credit cards or try to collect on bad checks. This is was 2nd time using Hector & Sons for our moving needs. They are so great to work with. 1st time, our quote went through the yelp app and worked great - no issues at all. Emails were quick to respond & very pleasant. This time around, I just emailed them since I had their contact info from the time prior. Once again, service was outstanding. Hector & Sons first moved some of our stuff/treasures from our home of 18 years to two storage units for our kids. A few days later, they came back and loaded up one huge truck and then half of a medium sized truck. They stored it all at their facility overnight, then the next day, they went to our storage unit and finished loading up the second truck, and after that, proceeded to our 2 story condo to unload. Not one thing was broken. They were very professional, polite, took great care with our stuff and moved very fast. They called us to let us know they were on their way and arrived on time. I love that they are so dependable. And they worked with us when our closing held up the final move for a few hours. I had to have some items moved around since I didn't like where I had them put them originally, but that was no problem for this crew. Their rates are very competitive and reasonable. I hired Hector and Sons after seeing their great reviews on Yelp and they lived up to their reputation. They were far more reasonable than the other quotes I got and charged $70/hour. (Note: cash only) Although the estimate for moving my space was 3-4 hours, it ended up being 6. I was surprised by that but Manu and Jose worked hard the entire time and were careful with my items so the initial estimate was just off. There were a couple minor marks on a few items but that's almost unavoidable with all they did! They truly did their best to protect items and wrapped some items for me (I had the shrink wrap but they did it). Manu even gave me a blanket he had to protect a couch that wasn't wrapped - that's above and beyond! Both movers helped position items in rooms which was great. I cannot give enough stars! We had an amazing experience with Hector and Sons. After reading the bad reviews of OTHER more known moving companies or getting a super high quote from other places (130-180 an hour!!!), we decided to take a chance and go with a smaller company. They accommodated an earlier time than originally scheduled because there was rain in the forecast. They navigated our muddy yard after all the rain, they worked absolutely non-stop except for the drive to the new location and to stop at the gas station, they were polite and treated our stuff carefully. Nothing was broken or damaged and they finished an hour earlier than all other places had quoted me. We recently moved and had Hector & Sons handle moving the furniture and appliances for us. Their crew was awesome, quickly disassembling and securing our stuff as well as asking questions on any questionable items. We paid extra to have our furniture wrapped and they did a great job making sure everything was safe! When moving our stuff into the new house, they were efficient and again asked questions to help us avoid problems (like trying to get furniture that wouldn't fit upstairs.) I have to rave about Hector and Sons moving company. We had A LOT of stuff to move (3 bedroom house and 10 years of stuff) and they were willing to go above and beyond to move our stuff. We know it was overwhelming (it took 10 hours) and they didn't complain once. Very helpful and professional! We did have some miscommunication with the receptionist about how much stuff we had I wasn't very happy about that (not very professional) however, that was of no fault of the workers. Had a great experience. I moved from one apartment to another within my same building. The two movers that came were friendly, very careful with my belongings, efficient, communicative and helpful. In addition, the sweet lady I spoke to for booking the move was so nice and receptive. I received confirmation on my quote and date right away. I also received a text the day before confirming the move/time for the next day plus texts and calls the day of with status updates of when the movers would be arriving. My move was okay. I ordered at 17 foot truck and the drivers said their truck was a 14 foot ( I didn't know there were 14foot -- only 15) so they were not trying to pack my stuff tight.. until I watched them. Magically everything fit (like I said it would) but they threw it in the storage unit and didn't organize it. They were nice but I would not recommend them. I wish I went with the other company. Not to mention some of my items were damaged but after they threw everything in the storage unit, they are junk. Happy New Year read more

Would give them 10 stars if possible! Phenomenal moving company! Responded right away, were prompt, courteous, working nonstop even though they get paid by the hour. They brought all the necessary equipment for any job. They were prepared if they had to take any furniture apart and took extra care in making sure our antiques were never scratched.
