    Shredded chicken super burrito
    Daisy M.

Second time ordering food from Hector's and it did not disappoint. Very reasonable prices!!! I only wish I had ordered more salsa verde for my super burrito lol. I got the shredded chicken burrito and my boyfriend got the asada burrito. Both were really good but I would choose the shredded chicken any day. The burrito is huge too! I split it up into 3 separate meals lol. The salsa verde is really good as well! Highly recommend the salsa verde on any food options from here. The salsa roja is pretty spicy so beware. Both times we went, we got asada fries and it has become a must order for us. And usually went end up so full we save it for the next day and they are still as good when we reheat them. The people here are always very nice and helpful! They have outdoor seating which we loved. It's never too hot in Camarillo so it's always a good day to eat outdoors. Can't wait to eat here again!

Was following this place on Yelp for a while. Got the asada burrito. The meat had a little too much tendon on it for me. Chips were good. I'll have to try different meat next time. Friendly service. Limited indoor seating.

After seeing the amazing reviews this Mexican spot had I had to come try it. Unfortunately the food I tried I did not like very much! The flavor was not there for me personally. This is decent Mexican food but if you have had great mexican food I would try another place. I had an al pastor quesadilla and it was very greasy. It is a huge portion but I could not finish it because it was not to my liking. It is nice they offer sour cream and they do have lots of seating. Service was pretty quick as well.

    Carne asada tacos

Customer service was good, tacos are big portions, good flavor, size able and they give you chips which is nice.

The burrito is genuinely so good. The meat is very delicious. No complaints the only complaint i have is that they dont put sour cream in their burritos. The asada fries is delicious and LOADED. I recommend coming here

    Super Burrito w/ Carne Asada

Great little restaurant with plenty of seats to sit inside or outside and enjoy the meal. First off, the staff were really friendly. Nicely flavored carne asada super burrito, delish in the right ways! Not to mention they offered salsa verde & salsa roja too. Wish the verde had more of a kick to it, felt a little watered down for me. I did like the roja more in terms of flavor. I loved the addition of the avocado & salsa. I enjoyed how they had burrito options w/out rice because I have been trying to cut more carbs out of my diet. Shoutout to the workers prepping the food in the back because they were amazing in delivering my request of sauce, lime, & onions too!

Flavorless. I ordered chicken flautas and they were inedible. Biggest waste of almost $11 ever spent. Threw them away.

My friend really liked the Chicken Asada Burrito. It was a cute shop and it was super fast. Their horchata was delicious.

They switched their beef to a cheaper cut. It's gone way down hill. I used to love this place, but cutting corners lost my future business.

Absolutely delicious. Best torta I've found anywhere. Quick, friendly service, too. Parking can be challenging during the lunch rush.

We ordered drinks, the margaritas were very nice-they were not afraid to put some tequila in the drink, not too much but a nice amount. Our food came-combination chicken and steak fajitas. Very tasty. But the chile relleno we had as a starter was very good as well. The salsa bar was a nice addition. I was able to get some 'spicy' hot sauce that went well with the relleno. The drinks, food and service was very good and I would go back again.

Even though the food wasn't impressive this time, the customer service was! We sat on the lovely enclosed patio. Vanessa was our server. Her service was 5 star! She was friendly, checked in on us, and all around went above and beyond! The food was pretty good. I got the single portion chicken fajitas. The chicken was very tender. The dish as a whole was lacking flavor. Dare I say it could have even used salt. I was a bit disappointed, but very hungry. I ate half and took the rest home. My mom got the 2 item combo with a chili relleno and beef taco. She loves chili rellenos, but was not happy with hers. Her plate was covered in cheese, but the relleno had no sauce she said. The taco was just beef with a little cheese and a few strands of lettuce. Nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My dad got the taco burrito and he enjoyed his! We loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip! The young guy refilling chips/dip was on top of everything and very sweet! Although we weren't impressed this time with the taste of the food, I will definitely be back to try again!

The decor is a blast from the past and looks like it did inside when I first stated coming here, so they haven't done much to the place but to me that gives this spot that old school charm. I personally love the old time decor and owls all around the restaurant. I find their booths to be cozy and comfortable. The menu is also pretty large with all of the classic dishes. The staff have always been nice when I've come in. They are attentive, friendly and the food is whipped up quickly. Happy hour menu seems to bring in the crowds but I do think there are other places with a happy hour menu that gives you more bang for your buck than here. The food is average in many ways but very comforting. Probably I'd rate all of the different dishes I've tried between 3.5-4 stars depending what you get. I really love their albondigas soup and that's one of my favs. Never steers me wrong. Also their crunchy shell tacos aren't bad. I came for a beef taco with rice and beans and was pleasantly surprised. This isn't Michelin star food people - just classic no frills Mexican food that seems to have kept them operating all this time, impressive if you ask me. My last pro tip is the margaritas are stellar. Huge fan of their mango marg and I'd come back for this alone. Just at $15 that's a little hefty for a hole in the wall spot like this. Same with the food. Two margs and two simple smaller main plates ran us $70 after tax and tip. Seems like it's hard to get a good deal nowadays but for keeping these local gems open, I'll always do my best to support.
