We have been eating at Bobbis for as long as I can remember. The food is always amazing and the staff is great!

Went today for the first time with family and was very happy. Restaurant was clean, menu was easy to read and understand. Carissa was super friendly and helpful, everyone there seem really nice. The food i go the 1 potato and 2 beef hard shell tacos. My tacos where stuff with beef and potatoes and to top them off with a lot of lettuce and cheese. Would of been better if i got sour cream but thats on me. I was also able to try the chicken taquito and that is no taquito. That taquito is stuff with chicken! Over i had a good experience here and no complaints about the food or service!! read more

I don't understand how this place doesn't even have 4 full stars. THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST MEALS IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME AND ABSULOTELY DESERVE 5 STARS. If you haven't checked them out yet, please do your life a favor and come asap. I've noticed them off the 101 freeway in Camarillo and have been wanting to go for years and finally got in there and was so made at myself for not coming sooner. Menu here is specific where you will find hard and soft tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chilli rellenos ect. Prices are very good and cheap considering for the area. This last time I went I ordered a couple of their hard shell tacos that run for $4.50 each. I also got two taquitos with gauc and sour cream and those cost me $6. The quality and flavors being served here are 10/10!!! I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you Bobbi's for the great hospitality and amazing food! I've always loved Bobbi's tacos and hadn't had them in a long time, so I was excited to order again--but this visit fell short. I ordered one hard‑shell taco, and it was smaller than my hand, more like a mini corn tortilla, with barely any cheese. It honestly reminded me of a Taco Bell taco but half the size. The seasoning on the meat was good, though. I also ordered the taquitos, and they were the same tiny size and came as a set of three. Tacos and Taquitos were good considering Camarillo's variety of Mexican restaurants, Bobbi's is up there. Delicious but not the best. Crispy beef taco was fulfilling with its simplicity of its ingredients. Adding salsa of your choice adds flavor and spice to a bite with extra bite and texture of the cheese and lettuce. Almost balancing the temperature but overall delivering good flavor. The same can be said with the beef Taquitos as well. As for the fish, portion of cabbage and fish were good however the fish seemed dry at times but only if I didn't add some mild salsa to my bite. Thought the cabbage and sauce would add flavor and juiciness but not the case yet the salsa changed it easily. Overall good food but without a doubt, always have some salsa! Service was quick and helpful as food came in a timely manner while being there on a Wednesday evening, with a small crowd. Ambiance was peaceful with entertainment via sports/TV. So definitely a great place to eat and enjoy the latest sports broadcast. Will come back for more items to try on the menu. Especially the breakfast. read more

The burritos aren't very good,. I had chile verde. It was dry and not very flavorful. My hubby and son had the tri tip burrito... same issue dry and not much flavor. We paid $80 for 3 burritos and 3 tacos. Chips and salsa aren't included... have to pay extra. I'll stick to Taqueria Portillo read more

It's been a while since I've had Bobbi's Mexican food, after this visit I remember why. They make some pretty good tasting salsa, but their burritos are pretty bare for the price and seriously lack in flavor without the salsa. With just meat, rice, and beans, they charge for every single thing you add and don't offer a super burrito option. They're extremely stingy with the meat, I found myself looking for it in the burrito and getting several bites of just rice and beans. At an additional charge for each, I added cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. I can't imagine how bland this would've been without the few bucks of add-ins. The burrito is the size of a mission tortilla burrito at home, so not quite a big burrito shop size but not tiny. They're pretty loosely wrapped. I found myself looking for ways to keep it together, eating at different angles while slurping up the beans and add-ins that were spilling out. The entire burrito couldn't have had more than 1/4 cup of chopped carne asada, definitely not worth the almost $20 I paid for one burrito after tip. Well that's this critics review, until next time, I'll be eating. read more

Another amazing team meeting breakfast here! I couldn't resist the fish tacos, not exactly breakfast, but they were absolutely perfect. The mahi mahi was moist and just as delicious when I reheated it for dinner. What keeps me coming back is their flavorful food, especially the salsas. I'm obsessed with the spicy one, but they also have medium and mild options for those who prefer less spice. This is a spot that's been in Camarillo for a long time! We have some real foodies at my store, we all love coming here over other restaurants in the area that are open early. Very thankful for the great staff here and the quality food! read more

One great thing about this place is consistency. I've been coming here for nearly 20 years now and the food is always consistently delicious. It's not totally authentic, more American style than true Mexican imo. However, that doesn't seem to bother me with food this tasty. Not a whole lot has changed at Bobbis over the years, nor does it need to. Service is always wonderful and fast. I'm a sucker for the Tri tip here. It's cooked on a giant smoker and comes out tender and smokey. I will continue to come here for many more years I'm sure. read more

Bobbi's has been around for some time now in Camarillo and I'm happy they continue to stand the test of time. They have to be doing something right to stay in business all of these years, I'm just not sure this would ever be my regular go to spot. I've dined here a handful of times over the years and everytime I am indifferent about the meal. Nothing is ever "bad" but with so many Mexican restaurants and family run businesses throughout the 805 it's a little challenging to justify this one being good enough for ongoing rotation. I would give my overall rating of a 3.5 for Bobbi's. The positive notes are that customer service is great here and everyone is friendly. When I've called in an order or placed one online they had the food ready upon pickup. The gal working the register was nice and attentive. The restaurant itself is very casual as you order up at the register. The restaurant was clean and the decor is inviting. Definitely gives a great local hole in the wall vibe. Prices seem standard. Not overpriced but also not a great deal for the quality/quantity. The food is average. I will say probably my favorite dish here are their fried hard shell tacos. Normally I am not a fan of a hard shell taco but here they are pretty good. A nice fry and they don't taste too oily. I've had their beef hard shell taco and potato taco. Both were good and I'd get them again. I've learned to pass on the burritos. Just okay, not bad but nothing I would crave. Didn't love the taste of their carnitas here, a little bland but it's also been years since I've had it. Tried the tri tip burrito and it was fine. Mild in flavor and basic. At least I can say I've tried a couple different things over the years and continue to try to give them business. read more

First time here for breakfast. Probably will be the last time. Sign said open, doors were locked. It was 9:02am. No big deal. Once inside i ordered the Jacks burrito for 9.95 but w/ no chorizo. The cashier said she had to "build the burrito". Only to find out it's 2 dollars more without the chorizo (see receipt). The menu did say no substitutions but I'm just removing an ingredient and wasn't trying to replace it with anything. Bad business, unethical pricing and makes no logical sense. Good luck Bobbi's! Even though I have been coming here on the reg for about 20 years, there a lot of things on the menu here that I know nothing about. And most likely that will never change. I don't know about the rest of the menu because I am a Big Fan of their Chicken Tacos. They are the best Chicken Tacos I've ever had, so that's what I get every time. Maybe all the other stuff on the menu is great too, I don't know and frankly I don't care. All I'm interested in here is the Crispy Chicken Tacos. These Chicken Tacos are jam packed with moist, flavorful chicken. Kind of looks like mostly or entirely dark meat to me. The corn tortilla shell is stuffed with cooked chicken and deep fried, then taken out, opened up and stuffed with shredded lettuce and a hell of a lot of shredded cheddar. God damn those tacos are good! My Wife always orders the Chicken Taquitos. Once in a while I'll finagle a bite of one. Although I prefer the tacos, I've gotta say I'm a fan of those Chicken Taquitos, too. They are little flour tortilla packages of chicken that have been deep friend to a crunchy golden brown. They are served with a copious amount of cheese on top that has been melted under a salamander. Two come in an order and they are served with a little guacamole and sour cream so you can get your dip on. And speaking of guacamole, it's pretty good here. Not loaded with all kinds of weird crap, it's mostly just pure beautiful avocado. Oh, and a couple more things: the rice and beans here are pretty OK. Not the best I've ever had, but totally serviceable. And joy of joys, Bobbi's tortilla chips are excellent, and not overpriced. A little basket is like 95 cent. They have three kinds of salsa. Disappointed. Cardboard has more flavor than the two burritos I spent $30 on. Dry and sad. Just give it to your dog. Horchata is too sweet and doesn't have the rice flavor that you expect from authentic Mexican horchata. Bobbi's is edible and warm- if that's all you care for. Just go to Taco Bell. read more

I should have taken this as a red flag: the tortillas were stacked from the market instead of being homemade. It reminded me of Chipotle, where they attempt to create an authentic vibe, but it's obvious they're using store-bought tortillas and old, unflavored dry shredded chicken, just frying it up and melting cheese on top. read more

If you know where Woodranch is, it's right across the street. The menu has changed a lot since I've been here. Portions are still Huge! A lot larger than most places. Like their tacos, filled with your choice of meat. And the taquitos, ginormous! Can't get enough of their crunchy chips, & dip them in the salsa. I like mixing their (mild) salsa verde with their (medium heat) original salsa. I'll come back and try their burritos again next time. Cashiers were friendly & workers come & clean up the tables. Plenty of inside family seating & more outdoor seating available with umbrellas. A casual place with a chill atmosphere. read more

Oxnard may have the best Mexican food in my opinion, but if I'm at Camarillo, Bobbi's is the best Mexican food in the area. Their carne asada is very delicious and well flavored. Whenever I come here, my go to are the carne asada burrito or the carne asada nachos, you cant go wrong with either of them. For my wife, she always gets the cheese enchiladas, it's perfect for her. They also have very good salsa selection with the original and verde being our favs. For my son I get one chicken taco and a side of rice and make him a makeshift arroz con pollo. He loves and will finish the dish. If you're in the area or looking for a great place to eat after a long day of shopping at the outlets, Bobbi's Mexican food is worth checking out. read more

First time at this location (Camarillo). It's been over 15 years since I dined at any location. My husband & I drove to CA to attend a funeral. On our way back to AZ, we stopped to have the air in our tires checked. I remembered that Bobbi's had yummy breakfast burritos and we were close by (my husband had never been). When I'm craving a good Machaca burrito this is the spot. I like to add potatoes in mine. It's pretty large so I was able to split mine into 2 meals ! Pretty terrible. Tortillas are thin and flavorless, wayyyyyy too much meat in their tacos and no onion or cilantro. Just jam packed with meat, potato taco is flavorless. Fish tacos were dry, and the slaw sauce just tasted like pure warm mayonnaise. Giving two stars because the portions are large and for some, if you have extra tortillas then that could be a deal to feed a larger family. This is not authentic Mexican food. Hidden gem in Camarillo. Driving back from Ventura, we decided to stop in Camarillo for dinner. We stumbled upon this place and so glad that we did. The salsas and the chips are really good.
