1 taco Al pastor and 1 carnitas taco

Really good food and quick friendly service! The tacos are really good and the beer is cold! 1 st time but definitely not my last!

Busy hole in the wall but delicious Mexican food! We were in the area so decided to stop by. 2 tacos and one burrito for around $19. Not sure of the prices since they are not listed on the menu whatsoever so you have to order and then the price will be revealed at the end. Good food regardless and fast service! Lots of people ordering for a Saturday lunch rush, many outdoor patio seating and limited seating inside.

Great food and staff. Food is always freshly made. Best hard shell tacos in Ventura county. Try it out!!

Chili Verde burrito. No veggies and no cheese. Sooo good.

This is my favorite spot to get a chili verde burrito. I order it with no veggies and no cheese. Just meat, rice and beans! It's so good. I love how the chili verde is cut into tiny pieces and it's covered in salsa. All of their burritos are on point.

Craving some bomb a$$ tacos? This spot has it. Located in Saticoy, California lies a small family owned business with Michoacán inspired flavors. There has never been a day where I was feeling unfulfilled after eating their tacos. The owner and staff members always made me feel welcomed and they always make sure everything is just the way you want your order to be. Now, I'm picky with my pastor tacos. I like for it to have the right amount of pineapple taste to it and Los Comales cooks their pastor to perfection. It is also juicy in flavor. The shrimp tacos are also very tasty to the point you don't even need to add any red or verde sauce. They add their own sauce on top of it and compliments the shrimp really well. This restaurant should become a highlight for tacos in Ventura County lol.

This little joint was about a mile from our airbnb when we stayed in Saticoy. I headed there to pick up burritos our first morning and SO glad I did! My Spanish isn't so good, but luckily the owner there was able to come and help me out. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and grabbed some of their house made hot sauce. Watching the chef wrap that burrito was an experience in itself - it was meticulously folded in foil in such a way that you didn't have to worry about anything leaking out of the end onto your hands like most breakfast burritos I've had. This was, without a doubt, the BEST breakfast burrito I have ever consumed! The filling was the perfect blend of scrambled eggs, cheese, refried beans and deep fried tater tots. Those tater tots gave such a beautiful crunch and extra hint of saltiness. They did not skimp on the cheese and I was in a cheesy food coma heaven after finishing less than half of it. I was able to enjoy the remains of the burrito for breakfast the following two mornings as well - they are hefty! The hot sauces were extremely flavorful with a delicious kick of spice. If you happen to be in the little town of Saticoy, I highly recommend giving this place a try for breakfast! I wish we'd had time to check out their lunch/dinner offerings as well!

    Shrimp burrito... tasty and amazing!

We stop at this place whenever we are in the area. It's located in Saticoy, just each of the Ventura city limit. We always get the shrimp burrito, which is so very tasty. It is so large we have them cut it in two, and it feeds two hungry people. They have a good stock of cold beverages including beer. The salsas perfectly complement the food. If you arrive at lunch time it's quite busy for obvious reasons. The place says "best Mexican food in Ventura County" and it's so true! Customer service is the best!!

    Chorizo Breakfast Burrito

I have only ordered grubhub from this place but man, it's so good! I can't get enough of their chorizo breakfast burrito.

Parking is, well, if you know you know. :( REVIEW: This is a great little restaurant and I prioritize coming here every time I am in DTVTA. Recently, I was at the Rubicon Theatre and needed lunch after a show. This location is located within walking distance of the Rubicon and is usually so busy each time I come! My marker of a good place to eat is usually on how busy they are. :) This recent visit I had a torta (my first, didn't catch the name) and it was outstanding! The meat was fresh and hot and the bun was flavorful! I did note that on my next visit here I want to try the Hawaiian (?) torta! Can't wait to be back! The service is always great each time. Thank you to the ladies who are friendly and respectful and greeted us (and all the customers) with a smile. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend!

Ordered the usual Watermelon Mojito and fish taco. The tortilla was extremely oily and flat and smooth unlike any tortilla I've seen. The grilled mahi mahi was very overcooked, dry and almost dusty tasting, I did not finish the taco. Fries were okay. I've been here for many meals but something seems to be different! I usually love the flatbread pizza, the leche de tigre ceviche is not what you'd hope of a true leche de tigre. Dragonfruit caipiroska is on the bland side but love the mojito. Still enjoy the $9 and $10 wines and cocktails.

I've thought about returning several times over the course of the last year, but never did until tonight. Turns out nothing has changed, still good food, still loud AF. This time I had a Taco al Pastor. It was excellent, with soft, flavorful meat topped with onions, cilantro and a slice of pina. My wife had a Fish taco, which was impressively large. I suspect that fish taco was every bit as excellent as my pastor taco because my wife didn't offer me a bite, as she usually does. We had been talking nonstop since we sat down, but when the tacos arrived the conversation ended. All I could think was, damn, I gotta finish this taco before she asks me for a bite. I imagine she was thinking the same thing. What I didn't have to worry about was sharing the guacamole and tortilla chips. The serving size of the guacamole is easily enough for two people. And the tortilla chips, same generous serving size. The chips are good too, not the boring chips one encounters all too frequently at other places. I was also impressed by the Horchata here. Way above average. Creamy and rich AF. If you aren't having a beer, you definitely should check out the Horchata. And dog, they've got all kinds of beers up in here! I mean, yeah, cold local beers and even happy hour discounts! Gaw! So, yeah, I love this place. I just wish it wasn't so freaking loud. Maybe next time I visit I'll wear my noise cancelling headphones. Mikey C says: if it's too loud, you're too old. True dat.

First off, the parking here is a nightmare. I literally got boxed in and had to ask someone to move their car so I could back out. Secondly, me and my coworker stop here at 11:30am for an early lunch. There is literally 1 other person there who had already ordered and got their meal just as me and my coworker sit down after ordering. We ordered 7 tacos in total... 30 minutes later the food still hadn't arrived. I finally go up to the counter to see if something was wrong and the guy had no idea about our order and said he was sorry that they had a big catering order. As a former business owner I do understand that stuff happens and a large catering order is good for business but ultimately that isn't the customers problem. Especially the customer that is sitting there at your establishment. Rather than tell us while we were ordering that it might take longer than normal, they don't communicate anything and then don't even address the issue until I go up there to complain. Once that happened the tacos came out in less than 5 minutes which is even more upsetting since this is how fast they should have come out to begin with. The gentleman who I think was an owner did apologize and try to offer some free drinks which I politely declined as I knew I'd never be back again. I hope that this business learns to service the customers properly that are actually dining there and if there is an issue at least takes some initiative to address it on the front side. Most working class people only get a 30-45 minute lunch to begin with so it wasn't cool that we literally wasted 30 minutes just sitting there with no explanation. There are plenty of other good places around Ventura for lunch - especially for tacos. Won't be going back here ever.
