I have been to this location twice in the past few weeks... It is not that close to me, so it is not normally one of my choices... But I went here with some co workers, and everyone was happy with their food and service. I had chicken fajitas. I loved the chicken, and the onions that came out with them, and was glad to see that the onions were not burned to a crisp like some other places do. Also, I was happy with the amount of chicken that was brought out.. Some other places have been cutting back on the amount of fajita meat they bring out, but not at Hectors.. I will be back... Arrived at 8:30pm, waited over an hour and a half to get our food, waiter brought it out & every, single, thing we ordered was WRONG. Waiter promised to bring replacements or "fix" the order (never brought the food that was missing or that he messed up) then brought out our receipts with NO information on them basically, just a total. When I asked him if he could tell me what exactly we were getting charged for he told me if he did "it would be more expensive", then I asked if I could get a to-go water and he told me "no. That if I wanted it to-go, I had to pay for it." Finally we go to check out & ask for the Manager, they REFUSED to get the manager, we then asked for the owner and they also told us no to that as well. I've been to this restaurant MANY times I might add. This was the WORST experience we have ever had & keep in mind every person at our table has had restaurant experience (so we know how it goes). Absolutely unacceptable behavior from this place. None of us will ever be back after this experience. (Wish I could tell y'all the name of the waiter as well, but he never gave us his name.) OH, and one more thing, the waiter decided to let us know that he was on salary so he didn't care about tips. I had the pleasure of dining here tonight, off of the recommendation of a friend. It was moderately busy, enough so that our server could not get back to us in a reasonable amount of time. As a result, we were waited on by the owner, and could not have asked for a better experience. The food is fresh and made to order. Any modification you could want, they will do their best to accommodate. The fajitas poblano with added mushrooms is out of this world good! If you're interested in supporting a family owned, small business in these uncertain times, I cannot recommend Hector's enough. Ask for the Don Julio margarita with freshly muddled jalapeños. You won't be sorry. This is a hole in the wall gem. So if you're expecting 5 star, fine dining, don't waste this family's time. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! The service, food, drinks, and prices are really good. They also just remodel a lot and expanded it. Their chips and salsa are good. But if the salsa is not hot enough for you just ask them for the hotter salsa. That one will be good for people who like very hot/ spicy salsa. The enchiladas was horrible. They were over cooked and no seasoning and the manager Angel refused to remake my order he preferred to just give me my money back because he said everybody liked his enchiladas. We have always enjoyed Hectors. We haven't been in a while so we decided to go tonight. The red salsa tasted bland and like canned tomato sauce. Our beef fajitas smelled and tasted like rotten fish. They asked if we wanted something else, we said no and they took the food off our checks. They handled the situation okay other than never apologizing. read more

Hectors has been a God sent! Kids eat free Tuesdays and Sundays, including free ice cream. The service is phenomenal, my family has not had anything that wasn't delicious, and the service is excellent and personable. We visited Hector's for an early dinner yesterday. I really enjoy the cool avocado salsa for the chips and the mild traditional salsa. I had the Enchiladas Mixta and my husband had the burrito plate. He rarely finishes his plate and he finished everything. My favorite was the beef enchilada. The whole plate was great but the beef enchilada was outstanding. A little bit different with a bit of potato and a good quality of beef. It was a very nice atmosphere, beautifully furnished. We had plenty of room and could hold a relaxed conversation. The drinks are larger than you would expect, this was a nice surprise. Plates are large and real linen napkins are used. read more

We like this restaurant. It has its ups and downs. Breakfast is usually spot on. I want to love their avocado salsa, but, honestly, the garlic factor is way over the top. Incredible shrimp quesadillas!!! Soft homemade tortillas with the perfect texture, buttery shirmp that snaps with every bite, and gooey hot cheese. Before I tried Hector's, any quesadillas I ordered elsewhere tasted like defrosted tortillas with melted cheese. Thank you for taking it to the next level Hector's! Service was good. Food was horrible. Nothing was fresh, everything had been frozen or come in a can. I saw them making tortillas up front so I'm not sure why they were terrible. I grew up on fresh, homemade Mexican food and this was not it. Queso tasted like Velveeta, beans from a can, rice not homemade, beef fajitas tasted like they were the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. Hector's is the closest thing to home cooking that I've found in this area. The tortas are my favorite, always good, especially because of the toasted bun. But I've also tried the tacos, which are also delicious. The margaritas are a good size and not expensive at all; they do have 2 sizes. The chips and salsa are so good, sometimes we just want to pick up a bag or two for home. We had a family reunion for my mother's 80th birthday here a few years ago, and they were very accommodating. We had a little section all to ourselves. They put the tables together for us and we had 3 waiters serving us. They have an outside patio but I've never sat out there due to the weather. And I've heard they have music (usually mariachi or other Mexican type music) on Saturdays, but I work Saturdays so I haven't been. The waiters are always very attentive and helpful. I know they have a bar, but since I've only gone during the day, I've never enjoyed it. But if the margaritas are any indication, it must be fantastic, too. I love this place! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We moved here this year and are still trying all the Mexican restaurants. Being that Mexican food is my favorite, I wanted to go for Mexican food for Mothers' Day. Seeing that kids ate free on Sundays, we chose the try this place. When we got our check, we were charged for the kids. After speaking with 3 people, none of which were our server-which never came back to check on us-we asked for the manager. He showed us a menu that said children don't eat free on holidays. However, our children were NEVER given that menu! When I asked why, they said they don't give out that menu on holidays. What?!?! We said we'll pay it, but that they should let their guests know kids don't eat free to which he said, "Ok." We we said we'd not be back because of this he said, "ok." They obviously don't care if your experience is a positive one. Besides this, our food was just "ok" (I see a theme:) and my margarita was mostly ice and was bland. read more

After a long day running around town doing a little of this as well as a bit of that my good friend said lets go to Hectors my family enjoyed it. I obliged his whim, and I am glad I did, and I'll tell you why. The stuffed avocado, hands down blew me away, if I could have eaten fifty of them I would have! Staff was friendly enough, food was fresh,I wasn't forced to get refried beans as they had others to choose from, the rice was fluffy and had veggies, and the gravy on my enchilada and tamale were pretty rad, did I mention the stuffed avocado tasting like the nectar of the gods! There was the problem of a particularly nasty old shrewish lady shrieking about her politics during my dinner, but if I let every loud obnoxious miscreant ruin a meal, I'd never eat! So I'd you want a pretty good tex-mex dinner check this place out, if not ,I don't know go to Arby's or eat some garbage same thing. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Took a chance this evening 10-9-16 and have to say food is absolutely terrible. First bad sign, and we hesitated, was only 3 cars in the parking lot. Decided to go ahead and give it a try. Salsa is bad, green sauce is bad, queso is awful and chips are bland. Based on the salsa and queso, we decided to just order nachos. They were bad as well.
