I took two pairs of heels here recently for heel tap replacements. The customer service was terrible. I remember calling to determine if I could get my shoes back the same day and the interaction was so dry that I was reluctant to take my shoes there. The woman who answered the phone asked someone in the background if they could repair the same day and I was told that they could. When I walked inside of the establishment, the woman asked if she could help me. I explained that I had called earlier to inquire about same day repair. A man then took over and asked what I needed done. I showed him the shoes and he said he could have them ready by the following day. He obtained my payment upfront and handed me the ticket receipt. He did not say thank you or anything. I picked up my shoes the following morning. Once again, there was no real interaction. He took my ticket and handed me the bag with my shoes. I did not look at my shoes until I got in the car. The work was good and I must say so far so good with the heel taps. As far as workmanship goes, the shoes were nicely repaired, but in terms of customer service, I'll take my shoes somewhere else to be repaired. read more

While I did receive a message back to return the shoe, it was a derisive message and a shame that only a negative review could get the store to fess up. In regards to no heel costing $60, there were two heels for $30 one for each shoe. The timing is also not in dispute. I did come 5 months after I repaired the heels, but they had fallen off two months prior, as I clearly told the worker at the store. All in all, further proof for me not go back to ten ever again. read more

I purchased a Groupon for this place, $25 for $50 worth of services. I brought in three pairs of shoes: two pairs of leather sandals and one pair of rain boots. All very nice and retailing for over $600. One pair of leather sandals was gold and I needed them to be touched up because the gold was coming off. They did an okay job. The second pair of shoes were rain boots. The zipper on one boot kept coming undone at the bottom so he put a "lock" on it. Essentially all they did was put some super glue at the bottom of the zipper. The third pair of shoes were the WORST. They had some cracking in the sole of the sandal and so all i wanted was a small leather patch so that they wouldn't crack any longer and so that they would also feel more comfortable. The guy put two LARGE leather patches on the sole of the sandals that were are very dark brown color while my shoes were a light brown. You could see the patch sticking out from the sides of my foot. I asked him to make it small so he said he would. I came back a week later and the patch had been peeled off and cut and left some more damage on soles and then the entire sole had been what looked like spray painted and they got some color on the gold hardware. It's all very frustrating and now I need to replace these sandals after wasting two hours driving out there and back twice. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place! The customer service was also terrible. The man that works there clearly doesn't know what he's doing with shoes, at least not nice shoes. I could have done a better job repairing my own shoes while wearing a blindfold. read more

I brought in a very expensive accessory to be modified for an evening dress. Not only did they do a terrible job the first time, but without an apology they damaged the hardware the second time around. The owner showed no remorse, again, without any apology. All he could do was blame it on his @##hole employee, which was unbelievably unprofessional. read more

We've been coming here for some time now. Heels & Soles Etc. do a great job and they are very affordable. The people are extremely nice and do their best to give excellent service -- and that is exactly what we get -- excellent service. I trusts them with my expensive suits and dresses, my husband is very happy with the quality of cleaning on his shirts, and pants, and ties. They also do awesome shoe repair. Quoted me 2 days and had my 2 pairs of shoes ready in 1!!! Best shoe repair store. Bottom line: If you're looking for a good dry cleaner / shoe repair service then it is worth giving them a try. This place is way, way overpriced for very mediocre service and really crap materials. I got my boots re-heeled (just the bottom surface part) and within one month they need new heels again. I have a desk job. It's not like I'm walking a marathon every day. They must do a really good job at finding materials that will last the shortest possible time so that you have to come in and pay ANOTHER $35 to get them done again. I mean - there's no way you can go a whole season with just one repair if you go here. No, you'd need to go like once a month. And I'm sure that's the point. Get the cheapest materials possible and gouge your customers as much as possible. And then laugh your way to the bank. That seems to be the business model. Total ripoff. read more

I found an old pair of motorcycle boots that I hadn't worn in a couple of years. The heels were bad, the insides were torn up. I brought them over here to price their repair. I figured it might even be cheaper to buy a new pair. But I got new heels, new insides and a great shine job (which I didn't ask for, it was thrown in) for about $40. I'm going to bring my wife by on Saturday, but not for shoe repair. They have a huge slection of handbags and that will be her weekend surprise. Went there to get my heels cut down. Did a good job in explaining how this would effect my level of comfort. My sandals are much more comfortable now. Henry is very patient in explaining things. I brought a pair of Valentino Chelsea Boots in for simple sole repair and was greeted by a counter person named Ronnie Miller who informed me that the cobbler was not in until Tuesday but to pay in advance . The fee was $25.00 to have the soles glued so I proceeded to pay in advance. I returned 3 days later which was the promised pick up date. I was greeted by Naz Abidi who was the counter person . She was able to retrieve my repair , so as a good business practice i wanted to look at the repair before leaving the premises. Not only was the repair done sloppy the entire boot was damage by the cobbler who's name is Gary Watson. Please keep in mind that this boot was purchased in December 2018 and had only been worn one time prior to the to the repair. The boot had been destroyed by cobbler who decided to put a black finish on the entire boot which I pointed out to the counter person. She informed me that she was not present when boot was brought in but the she would have a conversation with Cobbler to see what had been done beyond what I paid for. I was told come back on the next business to pick up my boots. The next business day I called and was told that I could meet the store owner . Nevertheless upon my arrival I was confronted by the cobbler Gary Watson who insisted my boots were in poor condition and that high finish that was applied was not a result of anything he had done to say the least. I then insisted on speaking with owner who's name is Shah Mehdi. Once the owner who showed up one hour later even though I was told by the counter person Naz Abidi that he would be arriving soon to address my concerns. An hour later Mr. Mekhi looked at the boot and admitted that boot appeared to be damaged due to a strong glossy finished that had been applied. I was able to show Mr. Mekhi the actual photos of my boot and what it looked liked prior to the sole being repaired. I went as far showing the actual site where the boot was purchased along with retail price which exceeded $1200. He then offered $125.00 and told me that was the best he could do. At that time I decided just do the next best thing because I was not getting anywhere with entire ordeal. read more

I took a pair of my leather boots in that had a small area where the sewn seam was coming apart and needed repair. Instead of restitching the seam, they glued it together and got glue all over the outside of the boot on the leather. They apparently tried to clean up the excess glue and whatever they used ruined the leather in this area. When I sat down and tried them on, the seam came apart immediately. I showed the owner what was done, and he became loud and belligerent and said "sue me". This pair of boots cost $775, and now they are worthless. read more

horrible customer service. did not do a good job at all on my items. i actually got my stuff back in worse condition then when i brought it to them. i payed for a groupon online and they didnt value it all all. on top of that they didnt have my items ready on the date i was told. i had to wait over a month for minor changes. i would not recommend anyone to go here. theyre very rude. when i arrived to pick up my things finally i stood at the counter for 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. i will NEVER come back to this place again read more
