We came here for a king crab legs. This is a place for crab. Our waiter's name was Bugg... I don't get it, but this man was very, very nice and informative. He gave great service and great recommendations for the amount of crab legs. We would need for the size of our party. It is pricey, but it's about the same anywhere you go. The food was tasty. The sides were delicious, that you gave us plenty of napkins and butter to go around. I would strongly recommend this place for crab legs. I don't think I would try the salmon or any of the other stuff on their menu, because that is not what they specialize in and you may be disappointed. We came here for the crab off the cruise ship a few weeks ago. Wanted to go to a spot down the street but the line was sooooo long so we came here instead. We had a group of 8; sat fairly quickly for being a packed house. Menu was decent in choices; prices were super high in my opinion for what you got especially with being so close to the water. But I get it tourists... charge more. The crab was delicious and prepared well. But the other items we got were just meh. The clam chowder wasn't anything special and the fish tacos were strange in flavor combos. They didn't mesh; but the fish was cooked nicely. Our waitress was an adorable Asian girl that was really kind and on her A game handling all the tables. Our table was by a kiosk where the waiters come to put in orders and there was a Caucasian guy that worked there that was griping to his coworkers about cruise customers. Worst experience I've ever had. I was looking forward to some amazing Alaskan king crab on my cruise stop in Ketchikan. I was impressed with the crab leg that other customers had but when mine came out, it looked like it was on Ozempic. I normally don't point out my disappointment when dining out but this time I did. The rice was also mushy and the waiter did replace it with the coleslaw. However, he was very dismissive when I mentioned the puny Alaskan king crab, or the lack thereof. I was so disappointed I didn't even take a picture to post it online (I should have)...hindsight is 20/20 I guess. Shout outs to Austin, Lianne and the bartender specifically. A lot of places in Ketchikan have higher visibility for travelers, but we stopped in last minute for a late birthday lunch. Service was great. Lianne and Austin were incredibly nice and perfect service. As for my "crabby" bloody mary, it was one of the best I have ever had. My crab leg was perfectly cooked and huge amount of meat. My husband had chicken tenders as he hates all seafood, and he had a taste of my crab and asked for more. I was shocked. My family went to this place to get some seafood on our stop in Ketchikan. Being from California, we figured the prices of seafood would be decent considering we saw boats unloading crab as soon as we arrived. The prices are insane!! But that's not the reason for the one star review. The woman mid-to-late 30's who seemed to be "manager" was very rude and we Overheard her talking bad about people in the restraunt (how unprofessional) and even scolded them for complaining about the very very long wait time for a to go box. The ambiance of the place was lively and it was busy, but I seemed to notice a lot of disappointment around us at other tables. TLDR : food is overpriced but decent. Being the closest king crab shop by the pier likely leads many people to this restaurant located upstairs. I would tell them to keep walking. There was about. 25-30 min. wait for a table, and while that was to be expected with 2 ships in port, it was the lack of service and extra fees that drives the score for this restaurant. After finally getting seated, it took another 15 minutes to have a waiter even acknowledge us. It took a while longer to even get water and ultimately order. Once we got the crab, it had good flavor, though was definitely a bit pricey. The fries that came with it were crispy and coated. The final surprise came with the bill as there were multiple charges for both a mandatory tip and a kitchen service fee. This seems a bit overkill and explains why the lackluster service as they have no need to go above and beyond or even go beyond the bare minimum since they were assured a tip. This should be made clear on the menu or on signage as required in many other locales as I'm sure many people have tipped extra. This is not somewhere I'd likely return as there are other places to get crab legs with a bit farther walk. read more

Most expensive crab and seafood in Alaska. I'd expect for the prices that are charged that the service and food would be exquisite, however average is a much better term to describe it. Restrooms were dismal and dirty as well. Most appalling is the undisclosed 18% gratuity which is automatically added. We traveled to Alaska from the US on a cruise and I was so excited to have some authentic Kong Crab Legs. The restaurant was open and spacious. We were welcomed by friendly staff and taken to an open table with a beautiful view of the ship. It took a minute for our server but we were patient. We she was knowledgeable about the menu when we asked about potion sizes. My fiancé ordered the beer sampler. This was 4 small local beers from the area. We split the crab legs and they didn't disappoint. You could tell they were fresh. They were hot and easy to pick. The butter was perfectly melted and soo good. I wish we could get these as good in Denver. Our waitress was friendly and we made short talk about the states and how she likes living in Alaska. I would definitely go back again. A nice find! Located on the 3rd floor across from the docks. Many places had lines including general bathrooms. I went in and there was no line, bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent. Ordered our food to go since we had to be back on the ship soon. While we waited I ordered a "duck fart", it was good! The food was delicious!!! We sat out on our deck and had our lunch. My husband felt he should try a King Crab Leg or two before leaving Alaska, so we headed here while in Ketchikan...our last land stop before sailing back. This place was located very close to where our ship was anchored. It had a bright, casual ambiance, with wide open space, overlooking the harbor. Well, my husband went for their King Crab Legs w/ Fries ($59), and I got this Alaskan Beer Battered Cod w/ Clam Chowder Soup (over 20 bucks?). Some disappointments...They only offered the White Rice (Why not more of a flavored rice variety?!?) or Fries as side options, with no veggies whatsoever. Now, these were pricey lunch options...and these were the only sides?!? Soups were O-Kay...but pretty typical in quality. Also, they served drinks in these super trashy cups. Budgeting?? *SIGH* Well, my husband enjoyed the Crab Legs, but he was underwhelmed with what he got. I mean, just look at his plate. Does that look like a 60-dollar plate?? Same story with mine...though significantly cheaper, I just didn't think my meal was worth anything close to 20 bucks. Hated the overly thick, cheap batter, and again, tasted somewhat Blah. Still, the foods here were just a tad better than most in these parts. I would have given this at least 3 stars, but I just didn't feel that we got our money's worth. I read a blog and the writer suggested when visiting Alaska to stop here so we did. It was just ok. We were able to sit at the bar and the best part was actually the bartender (Viking). He didn't start off overly friendly but I think he was just focused on serving. Once we sat there awhile he warmed up and was such a nice guy and the highlight of our visit. The food was just so so. A bit bland and nothing overly memorable. There aren't a ton of places to go and have a sit down meal right by the boats so I would suggest you go for the experience and have a chat with Viking. We were on our last stop of an Alaskan cruise and looking for a place to enjoy some Alaskan King Crab. We came across AKCC after some shopping and noticed the signs to an elevator touting king crab. We decided to take a gamble instead of walking back to another place we spotted earlier. The restaurant was open and spacious and there was no line waiting for a table unlike some of the other places. We were seated pretty fast and waited on soon after we sat down. We decided to order the King Crab Platter. It was expensive but it was the experience of eating "fresh" king crab that we were after. After a short wait, the food came out and we were not disappointed until we got the check. We were prepared for the cost of the platter and drinks but not the automatic gratuity and kitchen fee that was added onto the total. There were no signs indicating additional fees and automatic gratuity in the restaurant or menu. Be careful when ordering crab here, you will likely be hit with an automatic gratuity and kitchen fee charges. I don't know if the additional charges apply to all menu items or just the ones for king crab. Look over your tab before paying it. We did not make a fuss of it figuring we will not return to this restaurant again. read more

Unfortunately I dorgot to look at the Yelp reviews prior to ealking in....they were on target. Poor value for what you pay for. I ordered the pound of King crab and an order of prawn shrimp. My experience was much like orhers, very small portion of old frozen crab, and shrimp that were straight out of the grocery store frozen box section. Everything was very bland, and the coconut shrimp came out cold. It would not be so bad, but for the $120.00 price tag is disgusting for mediocre food. I have had better sea food at Red Lobster for $35.00. The waiter was nice and obviously not his fault, but I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Went inside excited to try some great crab and the hostess didn't really greet us. We instead walked up to her and told her it was a party of 3 and she sat us down. We then were ignored for the next 20 minutes before walking out once we saw another party get served drinks after they came in 5 minutes after us. No one came to our table at all to say they were serving us, or that they would be with us soon or to get us a drink or anything. I would have understood if the restaurant was extremely busy, but there were only 5 other parties there with 3 waitresses.
