Not worth it. Tourist trap with very dry salmon and lukewarm, thick chowder. We forced ourselves to eat some of it before we got back on the ship.

Absolutely amazing place with great view. The king crab legs were seriously amazing super fresh and cooked perfectly. But what really stood out was our waitress, Austin! She was so friendly, fun to chat with and made the whole experience even better. Great energy, super attentive, and just overall awesome. Definitely coming back! Thank you Austin!

We missed our flight due to some issues with the airline stranding us in Ketchikan for the day. Lucky us we stopped in to enjoy lunch. Friendly staff. Cold beer. Great deals on crab legs. Wide open dining hall very inviting place to enjoy some real fresh seafood.

Enjoy King Crab and great service here It was our last chance to have Alaskan King Crab in Alaska and it was not to be missed. After touring through the shopping district and getting omiyage and souvenirs, we had sufficient time to sit down for Alaskan King Crab that had not left the state (lol). We bumped into folks who were leaving and asked for their recommendation. Thumbs up! We were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was especially helpful and friendly -- made us feel at home here! Hope to make a return visit in the near future!

We wanted to try some King Crab and got a leg to go for $50-60. Ate it on a bench outside the building. Split it between 4 adults and a toddler. My granddaughter loved it. If you are a cruise, I would get crab at another place/town because of the cost.

Being the closest king crab shop by the pier likely leads many people to this restaurant located upstairs. I would tell them to keep walking. There was about. 25-30 min. wait for a table, and while that was to be expected with 2 ships in port, it was the lack of service and extra fees that drives the score for this restaurant. After finally getting seated, it took another 15 minutes to have a waiter even acknowledge us. It took a while longer to even get water and ultimately order. Once we got the crab, it had good flavor, though was definitely a bit pricey. The fries that came with it were crispy and coated. The final surprise came with the bill as there were multiple charges for both a mandatory tip and a kitchen service fee. This seems a bit overkill and explains why the lackluster service as they have no need to go above and beyond or even go beyond the bare minimum since they were assured a tip. This should be made clear on the menu or on signage as required in many other locales as I'm sure many people have tipped extra. This is not somewhere I'd likely return as there are other places to get crab legs with a bit farther walk.

Most expensive crab and seafood in Alaska. I'd expect for the prices that are charged that the service and food would be exquisite, however average is a much better term to describe it. Restrooms were dismal and dirty as well. Most appalling is the undisclosed 18% gratuity which is automatically added. The company should invest more in its customer experience and product if it expects to automatically charge such gratuity.

We traveled to Alaska from the US on a cruise and I was so excited to have some authentic Kong Crab Legs. The restaurant was open and spacious. We were welcomed by friendly staff and taken to an open table with a beautiful view of the ship. It took a minute for our server but we were patient. We she was knowledgeable about the menu when we asked about potion sizes. My fiancé ordered the beer sampler. This was 4 small local beers from the area. We split the crab legs and they didn't disappoint. You could tell they were fresh. They were hot and easy to pick. The butter was perfectly melted and soo good. I wish we could get these as good in Denver. Our waitress was friendly and we made short talk about the states and how she likes living in Alaska. I would definitely go back again. I would totally recommend if you're in the area. :)

The fish & chips steal the show! They were SO delicious that my family and I ended up ordering an extra entree. They were so fresh and they were fried perfectly. The crab we ordered was okay - nothing special, a little bit more on the dry side which was a little upsetting. Shrimp was nothing special. Service was great - the host and our waiter were very attentive.

A nice find! Located on the 3rd floor across from the docks. Many places had lines including general bathrooms. I went in and there was no line, bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent. Ordered our food to go since we had to be back on the ship soon. While we waited I ordered a "duck fart", it was good! The food was delicious!!! We sat out on our deck and had our lunch. My husband said the fish was amazing and I had the crab wontons, they were fully stuffed and fantastic!!! I also bought one of their cute hats! Enjoy!!!

Great first experience with crab at Alaska King Crab Co.! I had the Crab Combination with a king crab leg, Dungeness crab cake, and a cup of clam chowder - a bit pricey but definitely worth it. As someone who loves shrimp and lobster, I can't believe what I'd been missing. Trying crab for the first time in Alaska while on a cruise was unforgettable! The servers were friendly, and the place was clean, which added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend if you're in Alaska and want a taste of fresh, delicious crab!

We came here after a local recommendation The salmon was OK, but we were hoping for more smoked salmon with more flavor however, this one was grilled with very minimal flavor. Even so the service was absolutely incredible and the view on the third floor was great. The cruise ships blocking the ocean. There is a large bar area and plenty of seating even for large families

Best damn Alaskan crab leg and drinks in town. Must ask for Austin. She was an amazing Craft Bartender with wit and awesome jokes. Highly recommend this place when you are in Ketchikan!! Wish we had 2 days to hang at this place with her.

Once inside, you place your order at the counter and are seated afterward. One thing to note: if you're a smaller party and the restaurant is busy, you may be seated with other guests. It felt a little unusual at first, but it wasn't a big deal. My husband ordered the Dungeness crab, and I went with the Alaska Sampler, which features three different types of fish served fish-and-chips style. The fries are their signature mesquite-seasoned fries, and honestly, they worked perfectly with the seafood. As someone currently working on a YouTube video about our Alaska cruise experience, I can honestly say this was some of the best fish and chips I had during our trip. My husband also loved his crab and said the meat was incredibly fresh, tender, and flavorful. They don't sell alcohol at the ordering counter, but once you're seated, there's a small bar in the back where you can purchase drinks. We tried the Double Shovel Appalanche Cider and absolutely loved it. Overall, aside from the communal seating, we really enjoyed our experience. I especially appreciated their unique take on fish and chips. Being originally from Cape Cod, I take my seafood pretty seriously, and this place definitely delivered!

The place is bigger than it looks as there are two dining areas. You order and pay at the counter. We went overboard and ordered three entrees of fish and chips because that's what they feature. Deep-fried Salmon, DF Cod, and DF Halibut. Plus, we tried their Smoked Salmon chowder. Cod was the best, Salmon was weird, and Halibut was good. The fries and chowder were also decent. Overall, we had a fine meal but nothing really stood out as outstanding.

I ordered a king crab leg, crab cake, and chowder combo…read more Three must haves for a true Alaskan trip. The crab was ok, honestly tasted like the much much cheaper snow crab to me, wasn't worth the cost but still part of the Alaskan experience. The crab cake was pretty small, good but small. The chowder was pretty thick and gravy like from chowders I've had. The food was good, nothing worth going back for, but good for the experience. This is where we go from a 3-4 star review to a 1-2 star review. I'm being nice. When the check came they added a 20 percent auto gratuity. I usually do 20% but when it's a single combo plate and the majority of the plate is one thawed crab leg.... Come on , really!!! Do an auto 15% maybe 18% with the option of adding more. That's the standard. What got me was a 4% service fee. I asked what it was for and the employee told me ," we don't get that, I guess it's for the kitchen staff or the owner, I don't really know". Why am I paying a service fee for .... Well nothing! (Crab legs are about $100 each which is the average price ) so $4 per crab leg goes to the evil greedy owner. So $4x 8 legs on a crab = about $32 per crab just because . Tax... expected and the law. But a credit card fee.... Even for debit (against the law). Not looking so good for the owner. So to sum it up Food was good, nothing to celebrate about. I actually can't complain about the service , it was good. But the extra fees are where the ship sinks. Stop taking advantage of tourists and your restaurant won't be empty, and it was very empty when I was there. Should have seen it as a red flag . Do better!!!
