Very tasty fish sandwich with slaw, goes well with good beer and those tasty house chips. Interesting mugs, friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Right on the water, and we saw a bald eagle sitting on a light post when we left!

Best fish & chips I've ever had! The fish is so thick and juicy with the perfect texture. I also ordered the seafood chowder & fish tacos; AMAZING! Before I left, I grabbed a pistachio & vanilla coffee to-go, it was the best coffee I've had so far in Alaska. The people were so so friendly, clean environment and good vibes.

Even though we can see and walk back to our boat for our free lunch, I wanted to support local and eat at one of the eateries in Ketchikan before boarding, after we got back from our excursion. When in Alaska, it is halibut everything for me, so we got both the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos. The upcharge for the mango salsa wasn't really worth it considering it is just a small solo cup of it, but other than that, both options were tasty. The tacos had some heat to it, so I ate more of the halibut fish n chips. The staff is so friendly and super patient as the guest before us had so many questions about a simple drink and the cashier was such a saint and so patient with her.

Everything was really good, but it was a bit overpriced. I know it's Alaska and said things are rare there, but I thought something such as a specialty like this would've been a little cheaper. I also know that this was a crazy busy cruise port so I get why it might be pricey. Taste wise it was good but honestly, I think I've had similar in places such as New york or la. A cute little shop to grab a bite on land if you're near!

Solid restaurant in an ideal location along the main boardwalk downtown. I got the halibut fish and chips, which was cooked well and came with a lot of chips on the side. Solid spot to stop in on if you're doing some shopping in downtown Ketchikan.

Seafood Chowder, Crème Brule Donut, HUGE basket of fries

Everything's so good here! Fair warning, the fries are massive. They could easily feed 2-4 people. Seafood chowder was 10/10! And the staff are so friendly and gave us great service!

While on a cruise to the beautiful island of Ketchikan, Alaska, a great friend treated us to lunch at Timber and Tide. My wife ordered the seafood chowder and I went with the classic cod fish and chips. Living and working part-time on the California coast, we've had our fair share of seafood--but this meal was truly memorable. I'd rate my fish and chips an A+. The portions were just right, the flavor was fresh, and the food came out quickly even though the restaurant was busy. The atmosphere was simple, clean, and welcoming. Chef Collin prepared the food perfectly, and Dalton, who took our order, was patient, professional, and very kind while waiting for my indecisive wife to decide. We will definitely be back to Timber and Tide in the future. If you're in Ketchikan and craving great seafood, this spot is a must!

Based on the Yelp reviews decided to try TT, got halibut fish n chips, absolutely loved it, fish was fresh, light and delicious, there potatoes were good too, but expensive, again all the places are expensive at the port and DT.

We just had lunch here. A party of seven. Two of us had halibut with chip style fries. I LOVE a good halibut plate and Timber &Tide had just what I was craving. Light breading and cooked just right. The rest of the party had chicken tacos and they raved about them. And Timber & Tide was literally a few steps from our cruise ship!

Timber & Tide offers a relaxed dining experience with beautiful waterfront views and a thoughtfully curated atmosphere. While there is no restroom inside the restaurant, clean public restrooms are conveniently located just outside, and the surrounding area features a variety of charming local shops, adding to the overall appeal. The food was exceptional--the clam chowder ( which is not even on the menu ) was among the best I've had this year, rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The taco was equally impressive, enhanced by a vibrant house-made salsa, and even the chips were fresh and crisp. The service was warm and attentive, with a friendly, professional staff. Timber & Tide is where great flavors meet coastal charm--definitely worth the stop.

Love it, too bad I am just visiting or I'd definitely be back! The service is good, the restaurant has lots of seating abd the food is a little pricey but good!

We appreciate the special Ketchikan specific additions of Filipino food and chicken wings, making the menu choices significantly larger than I would assume it is at other franchise locations in Washington or beyond. Considering there isn't many other fast food options in town, it isn't bad! A little on the spendier side but it is Rural Alaska to be fair. My family enjoys when we treat ourselves to a meal here and it's usually busy during weekday lunch. We wish hours were a little later, but we understand the mall closes early so it's partially out of their control.

We tried the fish sampler with halibut, salmon, and cod, and it was amazing. My favorites were the halibut and cod--fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I'm not usually crazy about salmon, but my wife really enjoyed it, especially her blackened salmon with rice, teriyaki sauce, coleslaw, and malt vinegar. The hickory smoked seasoned fries were also very good. Even though Alaskan Fish House is extremely busy, the service was very friendly and the system moved well. There was about a 40-minute wait to order, but once inside, we found a table right away with no waiting. Great food, great service, and definitely worth the stop in Alaska!

Let's start with the first point since that's what you're here for: The batter on the fish and chips is well-fried but bland. The dungeness crab is nothing to call home about. Save your money and buy crab from Costco or across the street--unless you want to spend $50 for 1lb of mediocre crab. The fries and salmon chowder are honestly the best part as other reviews have indicated. But everything is absurdly overpriced and nothing special. The latter point is what drove my rating from a 3 to a 1. Seating is self-serve. Tables are packed inside, so naturally after ordering food, we find available seating at the tables in front of the restaurant. 25 minutes later, a young girl with blonde hair brings out part of our order along with a snarky comment, "Next time, can you guys let us know if you're going to sit outside." Excuse me? Next time, why don't you tell me where I should sit if the tables DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF your restaurant are not an area you check when serving food, despite there being a sign about seating literally next to those tables? Then a second girl with red hair comes out and adds, "You guys can't drink alcohol outside." We apologize and explain that we didn't know. "Well there are signs everywhere." Okay. There are literally NO signs that say that (I challenge you to take a look through all the atmosphere photos from other reviewers and find one with the sign about 1. "notifying the staff you'll be sitting outside" and 2. "not bringing alcohol to the tables in the front") EXCEPT at the back patio of the restaurant... which no one would see if they're sitting inside or in front. Of course, we still respect the restaurant rules and move our stuff to their back porch "seating" (5 chairs propped against a fence with a 4-inch ledge) and finish dining. Upon leaving, we were met with glaring stares from the 2 girls behind the counter. Absolutely unacceptable behavior from a highly rated restaurant. Here's a tip for the waiters: if your customers make a mistake, kindly redirect them rather than assuming they did it with malicious intentions. And don't double down on your accusations if the customer apologizes. Here's a tip for cruisers to get better food for better value: try the fish and chips or fish tacos in Juneau at Deckhand Dave (MUCH tastier and MUCH cheaper at $21 for Halibut fish and chips), and eat at other local restaurants in Ketchikan instead.
