My favorites were the tacos but the fish and chips were great as well. We loved the fries. They were cooked perfectly and were crispy and delicious! The tacos had such amazing flavor. The salsas they had with it were great as well. We all commented on what an amazing first meal this was, and we just may come back in the next few days. Wow!! This place was beyond expectation. I got the bread halibut taco without onions. 5 stars. The black bean taco was recommended- I normally don't do beans nor vegetarian- it was delicious. Again without onions. 5 stars I got a cider and I don't know the label but it's was smooth. My friend got the queso with chips and if it's possible to give that 10 stars.. I would. We will return especially for the queso. They were very patient and helpful in picking our items and embracing first time visitors. Spent like 75 bucks on fish and chips and 2 tacos and felt like 25 for what we got. The fries and chips were unique and close to better than the fish. I expected better. Good dining experience! Despite being located in a touristy area near cruise ports, the food was surprising good, and the service was speedy and attentive. I had the halibut fish and chips which was very good. The chips/fries in particular were as close to perfect as I've ever had. The halibut was fresh, crispy, and meaty. Awesome place! Chill vibe with friendly staff. The girl who took our order gave honest recommendations based on our preferences. The seafood chowder was hot and hearty. Crab was fresh and delicious! The tacos were all well made and filled to the top! The only downside was that they were out of quite a few beers but I imagine that could be common given the volume of cruise ships that were in port. Even though we can see and walk back to our boat for our free lunch, I wanted to support local and eat at one of the eateries in Ketchikan before boarding, after we got back from our excursion. When in Alaska, it is halibut everything for me, so we got both the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos. The upcharge for the mango salsa wasn't really worth it considering it is just a small solo cup of it, but other than that, both options were tasty. The tacos had some heat to it, so I ate more of the halibut fish n chips. Plus since I have been working in Ketchikan this past year, they consider me now local even though I am here part time and gave me a locals discount (Thank you!). She really took care of us - even made sure our toddler's hot chocolate was the perfect temp for him! So freaking expensive to start. $200 for a king crab leg and half a Dungeness crab and some chowder. Chowder came out cold twice! Crab took over an hour to come out when we told them we had to catch our bus back at 11 which was very soon. The views are incredible but this place like so many others with great views let service slip and just know they will bank roll money. Ambiance was busy and only had seats outside which had a guy yelling where the Norwegian cruise ship line started to catch a shuttle back to Norwegians port.
