    Captains Feast

This establishment is known for their tacos and fish and chips. You order at the front and seat yourself. The drinks are all self serve except the alcohol. The staff taking our order was extremely helpful with answering questions and getting us situated with our order. The ambiance was really loud but thats a given with the world cup and cruise ships. We ordered the Captains feast which comes with chowder, fish and chips, king crab legs, and Dungeness crab claws for ~$380 pre tax & tip. The crabs were really good and tasted extremely fresh. The fish was good fresh but got a bit chewy when they got cold but overall it was a pretty good meal. This easily served 4 people and would be a good choice if you just want to try a little bit of everything.

Cozy, modern place. Expensive but worth it scallop tacos!!! Even the fries were delicious. Love the dip. Ended up buying the adorable wine cup for $10. We sat outside under patio in rain. It was perfect meal before our excursion! Staff was attentive and brought extra silverware, etc. You order from front counter. I'm sure whatever you choose is amazing!

This was our first meal here in Ketchikan and it was amazing!!! We had the fish and chips and the blackened shrimp taco and a blackened halibut taco. The flavors were so delicious! My favorites were the tacos but the fish and chips were great as well. We loved the fries. They were cooked perfectly and were crispy and delicious! The tacos had such amazing flavor. The salsas they had with it were great as well. We all commented on what an amazing first meal this was, and we just may come back in the next few days. We ended up going back again and it was amazing! We also tried the chowder and it was delicious!! We highly recommend this place.

About to enjoy their cod fish and chips.

Right on the dock in Ketchikan - Timber & Tide is cooking up some tasty seafood dishes. We had their fried cod and their chicken taco and both were a flavorful bite of food. Our server was friendly and made you feel like you were royalty. The restaurant made you feel like you had transported back to a pirate's ship on the ocean yet it was clean, cosy and inviting. I had an Irish Hazelnut coffee to go and OMG it was to die for, so flavorful and robust!!

On the pier but a local favorite. This was a nice place to eat with friendly owners and staff. The Black Bean Taco was delicious. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Wow!! This place was beyond expectation. I got the bread halibut taco without onions. 5 stars. The black bean taco was recommended- I normally don't do beans nor vegetarian- it was delicious. Again without onions. 5 stars I got a cider and I don't know the label but it's was smooth. My friend got the queso with chips and if it's possible to give that 10 stars.. I would. We will return especially for the queso. They were very patient and helpful in picking our items and embracing first time visitors. We sat outside and took in the view and the sun beaming on us.

Very tasty fish sandwich with slaw, goes well with good beer and those tasty house chips. Interesting mugs, friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Right on the water, and we saw a bald eagle sitting on a light post when we left!

    Halibut (4pc) fish and chips

Good dining experience! Despite being located in a touristy area near cruise ports, the food was surprising good, and the service was speedy and attentive. I had the halibut fish and chips which was very good. The chips/fries in particular were as close to perfect as I've ever had. The halibut was fresh, crispy, and meaty. Hope to visit again one day.

    Halibut tacos

Even though we can see and walk back to our boat for our free lunch, I wanted to support local and eat at one of the eateries in Ketchikan before boarding, after we got back from our excursion. When in Alaska, it is halibut everything for me, so we got both the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos. The upcharge for the mango salsa wasn't really worth it considering it is just a small solo cup of it, but other than that, both options were tasty. The tacos had some heat to it, so I ate more of the halibut fish n chips. The staff is so friendly and super patient as the guest before us had so many questions about a simple drink and the cashier was such a saint and so patient with her.

Everything was really good, but it was a bit overpriced. I know it's Alaska and said things are rare there, but I thought something such as a specialty like this would've been a little cheaper. I also know that this was a crazy busy cruise port so I get why it might be pricey. Taste wise it was good but honestly, I think I've had similar in places such as New york or la. A cute little shop to grab a bite on land if you're near!

We appreciate the special Ketchikan specific additions of Filipino food and chicken wings, making the menu choices significantly larger than I would assume it is at other franchise locations in Washington or beyond. Considering there isn't many other fast food options in town, it isn't bad! A little on the spendier side but it is Rural Alaska to be fair. My family enjoys when we treat ourselves to a meal here and it's usually busy during weekday lunch. On a drizzly July day with several cruise ships docked, we waited over 30 minutes during the prime lunch hour to order our food, with the line far outside the door and onto the sidewalk. But the line moves fast and we found seats in the 2nd dining room (there's also outdoor seating weather permitting). The food came quickly, a little over 10 minutes after we ordered. My wife chose the Alaskan Sampler Fish & Chips, with one of each of the 3 fried fish options: Pacific Cod, local Silver Salmon and local Halibut. It also came with a generous portion of fries as well as a side of coleslaw. Of all the fish, the halibut was her favorite. She surprisingly enjoyed the coleslaw, as it was dressed with a house-made vinaigrette and wasn't sweet (like many other places use mayo and relish). There was malt vinegar and ketchup on the tables. My salad had a huge salmon filet covering it, with vinaigrette on the side. It was very filling, and I felt better about myself for choosing a healthier option at port after days of overeating on this cruise. We did order sodas with our meal. There is a self-serve soda fountain with free refills. There is also a small bar inside the dining room where you can order draft beer as well as wine and cocktails.

Great soup and fish, but choose your mains wisely!…read more We stopped by Ketchikan Alaska Fish House for lunch during our cruise port day since it came so highly recommended. We arrived right before noon and were met with a long line, waiting about 30 minutes to order. Fortunately, the indoor seating space is quite large, so we easily found a big table for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids after ordering. The Food: I got the halibut rice bowl, which was a bit disappointing--the piece of fish was small compared to the generous mountain of raw cabbage and rice. Also, the teriyaki sauce had a bit of a kick, making it too spicy to share with my toddler. On the flip side, my husband got the sampler (fried cod, salmon, and halibut with fries), and all the fish and fries were crispy and delicious! The Highlight: The salmon chowder was fantastic. It was packed with ingredients, giving every single bite great texture and flavor. Looking around at other tables, I definitely had a bit of ordering regret and wished we had tried their fish tacos instead, which seem to be their signature item. Overall, a great spot for fresh seafood off the ship, but stick to the chowder, fried fish, or tacos!
