    Alaska Poutine with smoked salmon
    Robyn C.

We were walking around and glanced at the menu hanging up on the window. We stopped for just one thing: Alaska Poutine. My daughter loves poutine and this one sounded different and interesting. We ordered it with smoked salmon and my daughter absolutely loved it. We will be trying to recreate this at home because it was that good. The young ladies who took our order and served us were so sweet! The place is very casual and laid back. I don't know why they weren't busier, but this is a place to stop at even if you just get that Alaska poutine

Really good thing that they open early. Jimmy wanted his Fish and Chips before 10 am after our cruise was on dock. Walking around and see they open already with nice clean look. So we went in. Services were great as staffs are so friendly. Food is in the higher price range for me. Fish and Chips in the picture is $28. However, it's understandable as it is tourist area. So we are happy to pay.

Visiting Ketchikan for the day and had been told about this location for lunch. They were not busy so we stopped in. The staff was very nice as was our server. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich. The couple with us shared the Seaman's Feast. My fish and chips were good. The chicken sandwich was ok but the patty was of the same consistency as a Tyson patty. The Seaman's Feast was tasty but not really worth the $249 price tag. I did have an Alaskan Amber beer which was cold and refreshing. The highlight was the Moose Droppings which are the mini churro balls with vanilla ice cream. These were delicious! Overall, our visit was average.

2 Orders Of King Crab Legs

We dinned here in the middle of an 11 day cruise that my in-laws took us on, and at the end of the trip when asked what was one of the most memorable parts of the trip I said "lunch here." This was my first experience with King Crab, and it was unforgettable. One leg practically took up the half the table! The meat was incredibly fresh and delicious, perfect on its own or dipped in the provided drawn butter. Delights Beyond the Crab: Everything we ordered was fantastic. The creamy salmon chowder was divine, and the side of corn deserves a special shoutout. It was so flavorful, I just couldn't get enough. (Maybe Alaskan corn is just inherently better?) A Minor Hiccup, Quickly Resolved: The only downside was the beer tasting I ordered. Unfortunately, all the beers were lukewarm, which wasn't ideal for someone who prefers their beer icy cold. However, to their credit, when I mentioned this to our server, they promptly brought me a frosted glass, which helped improve the temperature. A Must-Try in Ketchikan! Apparently, this is the newest crab shack in Ketchikan, but based on my experience, it's also the most delicious. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

The fish and chips are fresh and amazing. The salmon burger is delightful. Service is outstanding and friendly!

Loved the poutine with added crab- hands down one of the BEST things we ate in all of our Alaskan ports! Would definitely have it again.

On a drizzly July day with several cruise ships docked, we waited over 30 minutes during the prime lunch hour to order our food, with the line far outside the door and onto the sidewalk. But the line moves fast and we found seats in the 2nd dining room (there's also outdoor seating weather permitting). The food came quickly, a little over 10 minutes after we ordered. My wife chose the Alaskan Sampler Fish & Chips, with one of each of the 3 fried fish options: Pacific Cod, local Silver Salmon and local Halibut. It also came with a generous portion of fries as well as a side of coleslaw. Of all the fish, the halibut was her favorite. She surprisingly enjoyed the coleslaw, as it was dressed with a house-made vinaigrette and wasn't sweet (like many other places use mayo and relish). There was malt vinegar and ketchup on the tables. My salad had a huge salmon filet covering it, with vinaigrette on the side. It was very filling, and I felt better about myself for choosing a healthier option at port after days of overeating on this cruise. We did order sodas with our meal. There is a self-serve soda fountain with free refills. There is also a small bar inside the dining room where you can order draft beer as well as wine and cocktails.

We arrived right before noon and were met with a long line, waiting about 30 minutes to order. Fortunately, the indoor seating space is quite large, so we easily found a big table for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids after ordering. The Food: I got the halibut rice bowl, which was a bit disappointing--the piece of fish was small compared to the generous mountain of raw cabbage and rice. Also, the teriyaki sauce had a bit of a kick, making it too spicy to share with my toddler. On the flip side, my husband got the sampler (fried cod, salmon, and halibut with fries), and all the fish and fries were crispy and delicious! The Highlight: The salmon chowder was fantastic. It was packed with ingredients, giving every single bite great texture and flavor. Looking around at other tables, I definitely had a bit of ordering regret and wished we had tried their fish tacos instead, which seem to be their signature item. Overall, a great spot for fresh seafood off the ship, but stick to the chowder, fried fish, or tacos!

We had a group of 8; sat fairly quickly for being a packed house. Menu was decent in choices; prices were super high in my opinion for what you got especially with being so close to the water. But I get it tourists... charge more. The crab was delicious and prepared well. But the other items we got were just meh. The clam chowder wasn't anything special and the fish tacos were strange in flavor combos. They didn't mesh; but the fish was cooked nicely. Our waitress was an adorable Asian girl that was really kind and on her A game handling all the tables. Our table was by a kiosk where the waiters come to put in orders and there was a Caucasian guy that worked there that was griping to his coworkers about cruise customers. Basically said I hate when the ships come in and we get all these customers. He just wasn't kind nor seemed like he wanted to be there. So being able to hear that was just off putting.

He gave great service and great recommendations for the amount of crab legs. We would need for the size of our party. It is pricey, but it's about the same anywhere you go. The food was tasty. The sides were delicious, that you gave us plenty of napkins and butter to go around. I would strongly recommend this place for crab legs. I don't think I would try the salmon or any of the other stuff on their menu, because that is not what they specialize in and you may be disappointed. Next time I am in this town I will definitely come back.
