    Croissant sandwich list

Our road trip go to! Near the intersection of the 405 and 22 next to ice rink. The donuts are fresh, but we come here for their amazing breakfast sandwiches, whenever we go on a road trip. Ask for your sandwich to be heated. They are delicious and well worth the price. The owner is always kind, enthusiastic and helpful. Beware this is a local favorite. There's almost always a line in the morning for the sandwiches, coffee and donuts!! Heidi's has been there a long time. The ambience is nothing to write home about, yet it is a local favorite and the breakfast sandwiches are incredible.

    1. The donut was so fresh and soft! I also love that the sandwich had jalapeños in it! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with few tables inside! 3. The staff were friendly and sweet! They have good interactions with regulars, and one of them offer me a plate for my food photo! 4. Parking is easy, but there is so many speedbumps! Note: There is a surcharge for credit card transactions! Photo: Sprinkled Chocolate Donut, Mocha Iced Blended, Turkey Croissant Sandwich

A cute little older couple runs this place. The croissants are soft and yummy. My daughters love the donut holes and chocolate chip croissants. I personally like the regular butter croissants or the game and cheese. Depending on the day they do run out so get there early for the best selection. They also have bottled juices, energy drinks and make blended drinks as well. Oh they sell lotto as well!

Standard doughnut place. Not terrible but not great. Would come back to grab a quick donut if in the area.

We were headed toward REI to grab some outdoor chairs and decided to stop at GHOST Sando Shop in Huntington Beach. I've driven past this place plenty of times and never really knew what it was. It also happened to be one of the only places open in the shopping center that early, so we figured, why not? Man, we had no idea what we were missing. We ordered the Melrose for ourselves and a Club for our daughter. Marco took our order and was also the one making the sandwiches. A few minutes after we sat down, he actually walked over and asked me, "Are you sure you want the pepperoncini and tomato on the Club?" My first thought was basically, uhhh... yeah, of course I do! Then it clicked. The Club was for our daughter. Marco had remembered that from our conversation when we ordered and knew that a lot of kids probably aren't exactly excited about pepperoncini and tomatoes. Meanwhile, Dad over here completely forgot to ask for them off. That might seem like such a small thing, but THAT is customer service. Marco wasn't just taking an order, collecting payment, and moving on to the next customer. He was actually paying attention. He remembered who the sandwich was for and took the extra few seconds to come over and double check before making it. Good looking out, Marco. Seriously. And that wasn't the only interaction we had with him. Marco was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in. He talked with us, answered questions, and even gave us suggestions on other sandwiches we should try the next time we come back. Nothing felt forced or scripted. It was just genuine conversation from someone who seemed to actually care whether we enjoyed our experience. There were only two guys working while we were there, yet everything was running smoothly. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, the bright green interior gives the place its own personality, and there's plenty of seating inside along with a really nice outdoor patio area. And most importantly, the sandwiches were GOOD. The Melrose was a great first choice, and Melody enjoyed her Club, thankfully without Dad accidentally loading it up with pepperoncini. We also grabbed some Calypso lemonades, which went perfectly with everything. We originally stopped here simply because it was open and convenient. Now it's somewhere we'll intentionally come back to. There are thousands of places where you can buy a sandwich. What makes you remember a restaurant is usually the people behind the counter. Marco made us remember GHOST. Excellent food, clean restaurant, great atmosphere, and genuinely outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be back, and next time, Marco, we're taking you up on those recommendations.

My husband approved too, which says a lot. We'll definitely be back to try a few more sandwiches. Ghost Sando Shop is worth the stop if you're in Huntington Beach

It has quite a few seating spots in the front of the shop but there's also seating areas throughout Rodeo 39. We ordered the katsu chicken and shrimp mix plate and the spam brûlée musubi. The flavors were so delicious with their kimchi butter really making the dish! And I loved the brûlée on the spam musubi. From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.

The sandwich was slightly longer than what I usually see at other bánh mì shops. And while there were slivers of pickled daikon and carrots, the cucumber slice stretched the entire length of the sandwich. (Could this be a brand differentiator?) The bread was very good, and the crispy pork belly was crunchy and well-seasoned. The pâté had a good flavor and texture. This was my first visit to this location and my first interaction with this brand. I've noticed "THH" shops scattered around Garden Grove and Westminster. Each store has a slightly different look, so I'm guessing they might be franchises. If so, this store represented the brand well with this sandwich.
