Gee whiz! I have ordered multiple (two - three!) times and had a kerfuffle. One recent time I ordered (and not first time eating there) my order was accepted and we went to pick it up, closed! In the morning I got an 11am text that my order was received and being prepared so I called to cancel it. Tonight we called to ask how late they are open (learning from last time) and they said 8pm, so we placed out order online with a confirmation at 7:30, followup text said order ready at 7:51 but upon pickup they said "No, kitchen closed at 7:30." First,I was shocked to see that a soda was $4.25. Comprable soda at a local restaurant is $3.50. Second, if you want to pay by credit card they charge you a service fee if 4%. Third, I ordered the avacado toast which is listed on the menu board as two pieces. Which turned out to be one piece of bread sliced in half lengthwise. Fourth, the tater tot order was much smaller than in the past. Last insult was there were no table set ups, salt, pepper, napkins or flatware. Came here with my family and had fairly high expectations since pretty much everything on the menu is at least $15. All of our food was very bland, or just flavorless. I got the chicken & waffle* (literally one) which was topped with red peppers. All the dishes were presented beautifully, but flavor wise so disappointing. The chicken sandwich was okay, but I compre every Nashville hot chicken sando to Howl'g Rays in LA so kinda biased. They made me a proper one and refunded me, which was the least they could do, but I still won't ever come back. Also the portions are pitiful - the sandwiches are flat and they're skimping on the protein. My girlfriend ordered a turkey sandwich and only ONE SLICE of turkey was on the sandwich. The food is pretty good and the service was pleasant. We ordered at the front and sat down with our numbers and waited for our food. We had just come from an early morning of climbing so we each ordered enough food for a small army. I did not appreciate the confused looks that we received when our food did arrive - I felt like I was being judged by the amount of food we ordered and consumed. The food itself was not extraordinary, but overall it was flavorful and good. The truffle tots were okay, not especially flavorful on the truffles, and there were some charred bits of something else in my little paper container of tots. The baja shrimp tacos were pretty good, and filled as full as you could get it so I wasn't wishing there was more to it. The soup of the day was a beer cheese bratwurst topped with bacon that was good, but a bit more grainy than smooth. Not sure if that was what they intended, but I didn't finish it. It was definitely very rich. For desert, I had the eggnog cheesecake which was very dense but had good flavors. The cost is a bit higher than you'd expect for a place that expects you to bus your own tables. Fortunately I didn't have to bus my table as one of the gentlemen that was bussing tables was probably the hardest working person in there that day. It's been many years since I've seen someone so motivated, eager, and pleasant. I gave him an extra cash tip because I was so impressed. They weren't even remotely kind about the delay. The manager???? (She said she was more than that) told me "we're doing the best we can". No apology. No eye contact. Very poor customer service. I don't usually like pickled things so I was worried the taste was gonna be weird but they were so good! Wish we got two orders! The truffle tots were also delicious and I don't even usually like tots. My fiancé got the shrimp sandwich and he said it was amazing with so much flavor. I got the chicken sandwich with honey and arugula and it was so good. However I couldn't even eat it all as a sandwich cause within a few minutes my bottom bun didn't exist due to all the honey being poured on one spot. Other than that the service could've been better. A lot of people at the front and none were overly welcoming, we mentioned we had never been there and tried to ask questions but after two questions for recommendations it seemed like we were bothering them. Super friendly staff and fast service. I ordered the turkey grinder. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the turkey. It's processed sandwich meat with a piece of yellow cheese. Would have been better if it was roasted turkey. It's comes with lettuce and there was one small sad piece of yellow tomato. The bacon was over cooked. The Mayo aioli was good but I had to ask for more because it was scarce on the bread. I opted for gluten free bread and it was good and a good sized portion as most GF bread tends to be on the smaller size. I also ordered a side of the truffle tater tots. Big portion with a house made ranch which was tasty. I see it being popular with kids and those looking for a salty snack. Also comes with side of marinara (but I don't like tomatoes).
