We came here after a hot hike in the desert, and it was an awesome finish. Great spot. Fresh food. Great breakfast burrito. Poutine tots and truffle tots were on point. They have gluten free foods that still taste good. None of the food tastes "healthy" even though it is! So that's why I like it. We were pleased to find that they have a Vegan Friendly section on their menu. You order at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. We ordered an Impossible Burger with a side salad and Impossible Sloppy Joe's, and my husband had a vegan brownie. Everything was really good including the service. We came here the last time before Covid Lockdown and decided to go on Sunday for lunch. We were very disappointed. We both ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich. Let me just say that a 7 inch sandwich in the middle of a plate with no sides for $11.00 better be stellar which it was not. But first...CLEAN YOUR RESTROOM!! It was nasty! And it was only 12:13PM. Tables and ground around them was not being swept or kept clean. It is Covid times people!! Cleanliness is of utmost importance. Now the sandwich.... Shrimp were flavorful, but not a whole lot of them and the sandwich was very very dry! A tiny bit of iceberg lettuce with the shrimp. My husband's was more dry than mine. A Po- Boy should be packed with the protein and have an ample amount of remoulade sauce because without this sauce it is not a real seafood Po-Boy. NO fresh herbs in the sauce and tasted more like whole grain mustard which is not remoulade sauce. 2 sodas and two little po-boys $30.00!! The seating was sketchy with most tables in the hot sun. Who wants to sit in the sun and eat. Who wants to sit at a dirty table in the hot sun and eat. We always supported this place but it is time to move on. read more

I work outdoors, so the heat is draining. On days I don't bring my lunch, I can count on Heirloom Craft Kitchen to have some healthy, lighter options. I always get the Organic Roasted Chicken Salad. It has protein, healthy fats, etc and makes me feel so much better to go back into the heat to work. Tony holds this place DOWN. He should start a business where he trains others for customer service because he's just so personable, friendly, helpful, and today I ate inside the restaurant for the first time and realized that he stays BUSY. I had my Coachella Valley Harvest Box delivers here while I was at work. I ordered dinner for after work and picked it all up. They helped me carry to my car on a busy Friday night. I had the shrimp poor boy sandwich- crispy crunch coated shrimps with lettuce, onions and a great sauce on a good bun. I ate half. For my veggie I got the blistered shisito peppers- they had a lemon aioli sauce with them. I am saving some for chopping up and putting into an omelet for breakfast. Great experience. Really great people working here and the food was a huge delight. Although the hotdog didn't come with the pretzel bun as described, it was still delicious and I can only imagine what it would have tasted like had it came on a pretzel bun. The mustard and jalepeno topping was a nice touch. Tots were excellent and the hamburger meat was fresh and not frozen. The desserts were also a hit! Our fave was the caramel cheesecake and carrot cake. They also had fun homemade candies like peanut brittle and root beer caramels. The coffee is STRONG, be careful unless you're use to it. We're in LaQuinta for a couple of months, escaping Wisconsin winter, and Heirloom Craft Kitchen is great for a sandwich or breakfast, or something you've never thought of; casual but carefully prepared, delicious cuisine. I visited Heirloom Sunday, 6/16/23. It was Father's Day weekend and I wanted to try something new and exciting. I saw the reviews for Heirloom and had to try it. It was disappointing. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and it was quite salty. I love salty food, but I couldn't eat this sandwich. My son ordered the tray nachos, and the chips were so hard, they almost broke my teeth! It breaks my heart when my kids don't want to finish their food. My wife ordered a salad, and she liked it. The presentation was very nice. The staff was very pleasant. I really love the bread. Apparently it is home made and indeed you can taste its flavor and how rich and soft it is. I order a BLT. Personally i thought it wasnt as big of a portion as other BLTs but the large size of their tots kinda made up for it. I prefer a heavier pack sandwich and the BLT they gave me wasnt worth $10. I give it 4 stars because everything was home made and really, the flavors were there. The ketchup is also home made. Had an early breakfast right when they opened... The coffee is strong- I like it. The lemon avocado toast is delicious, I had mine with sunny side up eggs. The eggs were fresh , soft, and tasty just the way I like them. The lemon adds some zing to the smoothness of the avocado, I will do this at home. The service was friendly, attentive, just right. Saturday morning, busy but it's mellowing. We wait behind a couple ordering and immediately greeted with a smile as we walk up to the counter. You order at the counter, get a number and proceed to a table of your choosing. The booths are earmarked for parties of 4 or more. Quick service. The manager asks if we are okay and looks happy to see us- always a good sign. Demographic: White families. A few people of color. A family environment in La Quinta, it looks welcoming to someone queer like myself. Customer service: Attentive. Quick. Helpful. Food: Shrimp and grits for me. Good. Large portions. My companion ordered the breakfast and wasn't happy with the taste or the portions. He did, however, eat the entire plate. So I'm not sure how unhappy with it he was. The grilled cheese had several slices of cheddar on it--like a half inch thick, partially melted. Some people might like this, I guess. We were starving, but neither of us could finish our meals.
