We were in the mood for something light yet filling, healthy, fresh, high quality ingredients, but wouldn't take a long time to prepare. We wanted to be able to talk during brunch about the rest of our day without having to scream at each other on the first Sunday of the NFL season, during the games. We found Heirloom, and we weren't disappointed. High quality, really good food (I like spicy so I did add some hot sauce to my carnitas, but that's to be expected), with very good service, served up in a calm and inviting environment. Ventured out and took the local recommendation and was a bit disappointed. For starters, you have to stand in line and place your order before seated. The ambience reminds you a little of old school cafeteria style, not a fan. I was impressed with the prompt and friendly service. Now for the food, definitely mixed, the chilaquiles were good and flavorful, the truffle tots also as recommendation. The cheesecake stuffed French toast is what you would expect, very rich- too much. And basic breakfast is a pass. We've been wanting to try Heirloom since they opened in January but haven't had the chance. Today we finally stopped by for lunch. The menu was extensive and provided choices for everyone. I ordered avocado toast and truffle tots. Both were great choices! I only wish the slices of bread for the avocado toast were bigger because the avocado was overflowing. Tried this place for breakfast for the first time this past weekend. Ordered the breakfast burrito and a side of tater tots. The food was pretty good. It was ready when I arrived to pick it up, and I didn't have any trouble ordering other than no one picks up the phone so you can only order online I guess? The burrito was very heavy, I split it with my boyfriend and I barely even finished the half! It's a lot of food, but I'm sure that's appealing for people who like larger portions, just something to be aware of! read more

We went for breakfast this morning on the way out of town. We both got the midnight sandwich. Very basic, no sides come with it, and it cost us $26. Service was good and friendly, but if you're looking for a breakfast sandwich, just go to a coffee shop or Starbucks. There is zero value here (at least at breakfast) . read more

I'd previously given this place 5 stars and didn't care about the prices as others have stated. I'm in the lower having to work hard for my money income bracket but will gladly pay whatever for good food however it's gone down hill. My impossible burger was barely luke warm, greasy and undercooked. I'd requested it well done too!. Tator tots the same, barely warm and soggy. They were not busy and new staff are nowhere near as pleasant as the ones there in past months and years which made me not want to ask for it to be heated up or re-done. I think I identified the manager by her demeanor and actions and she seemed miserable, resenting work or not happy to be there for whatever reason. For the prices and image promoted, I expect more. Aioli sauce didn't even taste good as it had a few months ago. Yuck, I'll be crossing this once good place off my list of viable places to eat. read more

You order first from the cashier and then they bring you the food. They answered all my questions happily and offered different information about other meals! You are in for a real treat if you go to this restaurant. They have their own pastry chef and baker. The desserts are wonderful. The head chef and owners have come up with a delightful mix of healthy and flavorful choices. I had the Heirloom Burger, which was juicy and delicious and easy to chomp down on through the freshly baked bun. The avocado toast was excellent; my friend and I split that easily because it comes on two pieces of toast. I sprinted in 5 minutes before closing, ready to catch shade for cutting it so close, but instead got the most genuine greeting that morphed into conversation with the owner. His recommendation led me to an outstanding sandwich and wine pairing. The La Quinta Cheesesteak sandwhich was quality and delicious! Tender meat, shoshitu peppers and lots of mushrooms prepared perfectly. I planned to have a beer, but quickly caught on to the fact that they know their wines here. I tasted two delicious pinots recommended by the owner. A stripmall location is unexpected for such a great restaurant, but they pull it off. Casual and spotless. I ordered takeout from here yesterday morning. The food was BAD. I mean, I've been here a few times and the food has never been that great. So why do you keep going there, you ask? It's kinda like a toxic relationship. The person is so bad to you every day, but you keep going back hoping that things will be different this time. I tried to order different things and none of it is worth the high prices. Anyway, so this time i ordered the La Quinta Philly steak sandwich and the deviled eggs. The deviled eggs weren't too bad, just by the time I got home, and really tried to keep the bag as still as I can, they were all over the box, so I had to piece them all back together. That's takeout for ya. The sandwich the presentation was terrible. I mean, once again, takeout, but I mean it was bad. I couldn't even see the sandwich there was this thick sauce all over the sandwich and the box. I dug through to the sandwich and tried to pick it up. The bread was completely soggy and fell apart in my hands. So I picked up a big piece of the meat. I believe it was tri-tip or what ever. I chewed into the meat and it was BURNT. I mean, it was charred to a crisp. I tried to chew through it thinking maybe I'm over exaggerating. Nope, couldn't even chew it. all i tasted was thick sauce and char. I wish so bad I had taken a picture, but I was so annoyed that I threw the $16 sandwich away. Yes it was $16 dollars!! For that charred soggy burnt mess. And I was thinking yeah when I was waiting for my food, they were done pretty quickly. I mean, I barely sat down and they called my name. And I thought that was kinda weird but I didn't say anything. So that's why I'm thinking they just threw it in the boxes without a care in the world, and I didn't see it until I got home. Needless to say, I will not be going back this time. And I can't believe this sandwich was called La Quinta..to represent La Quinta? Poor La Quinta. I see a lot of good reviews here, but I'm wondering where the good food is. Maybe the days I went were just bad days and takeout is not good there, I don't know. But I won't be going back again. ((I'm so mad I didn't take photos ugh!)) read more
