I went to Heist last night and had a really good time. The DJ was playing good music, there were a lot of young, attractive people, drinks were a little pricey, and the bathrooms were clean and sleek. I never waited for than 2 minutes to get a drink. I got there at 11:30pm, and Heist was full around 12:30am and most everyone was dancing. I would recommend Heist if you want a nice, smaller club to party and dance in. read more

This spot is seriously a hole in the wall. There is no sign outside for what the bar is called, but it's a great place! Although it's quite small, the music is chill and you get a free glass of champagne when you walk in! Definitely my favorite part :) read more

My recollection of this place is based on one drink and about 15mins in which I downed it. I didn't love the vibe; it was young and a bit try-hard. The music is ON POINT! They play primarily hip-hop and top 40. The DJ will play really cool remixes to popular songs and mix in a lot of good old-school jams. I went on a Saturday night and it was packed body to body, which made it difficult to dance. However, when I went on a Friday night, it was less crowded. This place is only one floor and rather small, but I whenever I go out in DuPont, this place is a must-go strictly because of the AMAZING DJ. There is always a mixed/diverse crowd. But, if you're looking for fist pumping or house music, you won't find it here. read more

Love it. I am obsessed with the concept behind the decorations and overall theme of the club, it is incredibly creative. There is an awesome drink menu, in which I found one of my favorite drinks, called "The Dillinger." I ordered it from 3 different bartenders and it was made perfectly and consistently each time. The club is quite small, but that makes it more intimate and bearable; rather than a huge, rowdy club with an obnoxiously drunk crowd. I love the LED lights hovering above the stairs coming into the venue, as well as above the bar. They're a perfect touch to the rest of the decor. EDIT: Kellyrose contacted me today about this incident, and demonstrated the utmost professionalism in remedying the aftermath. She was very polite and I could tell she just wanted to do what she could for us, because she cares not only about the image of her business, but also about her clientele. She is picking up the dry-cleaning bill and even buying us a round of drinks/bottle of champagne if we decide to come in again. As much as the staff last night didn't seem to care, I know that Kellyrose would not have tolerated an incident like this in Heist, and for that I am very appreciative. I am considering going in on a Tuesday when things are a little less crazy . . . I was here tonight and my poor friend was vomited on by a drunken idiot. Unbelievable. I have never seen this happen before, and at a club that promotes itself as "upscale." The bouncers all watched it happen and it took them several minutes before they got around to "cleaning" up the floor. They didn't apologize to her, and she tried to get help at the bar but they were completely indifferent. They didn't even offer her a rag to get cleaned up. Her shoes are likely ruined, too. They barely went out of their way to remedy the situation, and even let the sad excuse for a human being come back in! I saw him mopping up his forehead. This is an extremely poorly run establishment and I will not be coming back. read more

Last weekend, I hit up Heist with my girls for my friend's birthday. I have been to several iterations of this club (from Red, to Fly and now Heist) so you can say that I am quite familiar with this venue. You have to go down a long flight of stairs so watch your step ladies! The club doesn't get poppin' until around 12:30. Literally you'll blink and it'll be packed to the gills! I don't know if I would go here if I didn't have a table as it seemed really crowded to get around (almost a fire hazard it seemed!), but since we had a table I had a great time! The dj played a good mix of old school tracks, EDM and top 40. Get the table closest to the entry, it's quite spacious and you don't have people bumping into you constantly! read more

I've been here twice and just don't get the hype. It's not bad, but it's not good. It's a pretty small space and its underground. Music is decent, drinks are the same price as DC clubs... Nothing that really stands out. I don't mind going but certainly wouldn't make it my destination unless friends had bottle service. read more

So Heist has always been a great time with friends, long nights of dancing and drinking champagne, there is always a great DJ playing dope music. 5 stars .. I would give it an extra 5 stars if I could due to the fact that I had left a bag there a couple of months back that had a brand new iPhone 6 plus inside.. Maggie and her team at Heist found something in my bag with my name on it, found me on Facebook,sent me a message informed me that they had found my bag and asked if I could identify a few items and would ship it out to me , I have since moved away from DC and it's such a relief to get my bag and phone back. Great music and fun for dancing! But very tiny.

I've been here twice on the weekend. The line moved very quickly although I've gone later in the evening so we were able to get in quick. This is a small basement, underground club/lounge. Lotsa tables around and good people watching. Trendy, young crowd. Late 20s to 30s crowd. Good people watching. It's pretty small so you get an intimate feeling. I liked it here mostly because the company was great so I had a great time with my girls ;) I'll def go back! read more

No better club in this district. The rest fill up with too much trash and douche bags. Yes, there's plenty of kids faking the funk from VA and MD, but then again it's still DC. Great bar tenders, one of the few places bottle service is (almost) worth it. read more

I'm not a fan of most lounges/bars in Dupont Circle, but Heist is like a hidden gem. First of all the door people were really nice. Most clubs have a**holes for security and doormen that take their jobs a little TOO serious. The venue is a little small especially when packed, but it's still a good vibe. I've been here on a Wednesday and a Saturday night, both of which were an amazing time. The music is great. You get a nice mixture of top 40, hip hop, house, reggaeton, etc. I dislike most clubs in Dupont because the selection of music is not that great. I do not wish to listen to house/dubstep all night. If you like a mixture of people and music this is a great place to go. Drinks are pricey in this area of DC read more

I was here last summer visiting a friend and was drugged by either a club promotor for Heist or a woman bartender working the tables the club owners were occupying. I only had one glass of champagne and a few sips of a cocktail before everything went black and I woke up the next morning at 8am in my apartment hallway locked out. I have no idea what happened to this day. I NEVER black out, but I can't remember a minute of those 9 hours. I won't get into the details, but I will never go back here and strongly urge everyone, especially every girl, to not go here or if you do, do not buy any drink or accept any "free drink" from anyone (including someone who works here). It's a shame that even employees can demonstrate such lack of integrity and trustworthiness. read more

Had the worse experience ever here wish I could give no stars. This place is really small, staff are uptight and favor people with money/connections over regular customers. When I lost my jacket there at a private table the other night and tried to look for it the bartender was no help and told me the people there were "millionaires" why would they steal my coat and didn't help me one bit. My friends and I had paid $35 for a nye entrance package that came with 2 complimentary drinks and I had to basically argue with them to get the 1 of the 2 drinks because they insisted it was only one. And after finally agreeing to read the flyer they realized I was right. Staff here are really disorganized and unfriendly. Don't waste your time, there are so many better bars in DuPont!! read more

Unfortunately, I do not recommend going to this club. I've been to many clubs in Washington DC the past few months and, sadly, Heist was the only club that treated me very unprofessionally. I love going to Heist because any night of the week it is a party!!! The club gets packed around midnight and then the dance party starts! I love intimate atmosphere that has been created. The DJs are always AMAZING and the staff is so nice. If you go clubbing in dc you know the bathroom situation is always disgusting and heist is the opposite... gross point but highly necessary. This "place of business" has poor staffing and management. Last night a worker here decided to take his ego to 100 and kicked out our friend LITERALLY because she was "in his way". When confronted he wouldn't explain why he was being such an a-hole but it clearly had something to do with a power complex. Completely unacceptable and shame on management for not taking a stand when this behavior was mentioned. We literally could understand at least half of the group we were with possibly getting kicked out but this was the one girl standing there quietly being respectful to everybody. Not to mention this place is small, smelly and an overall POS. yeah you THOUGHT last night was the end of it. You thought. Should have brought your asshole tendencies elsewhere. Love Heist! Great Music! Great people! Last time I went with a group of friends for a birthday and had a blast.

Stumbled upon Heist by accident on a Friday night. There was a small line of about 6 people but we got inside within about 5-10 minutes. The room was PACKED. It's a small, long space, in what seems like a basement but the decor is really nice. Music was all EDM, not much of a variety which was a little disappointing. Ladies, don't count on touching up your makeup in the bathroom. The bathrooms are so dark you can barely see what you're doing. The drinks were ridiculously expensive too. $15 for a Jager bomb...Totally not worth it for the crowd and the music. read more

Went here for my birthday and had a great time! You wouldn't even know where this place was from the outside. There are a few bouncers and 2 bull horns on the door. You enter, go down the stairs and into a small but fun club. The DJ's are great and bartenders are very nice too. The crowd there is sophisticated and well-dressed/non sleezy people. You can tell they don't let rowdy frat boys/creepy guys in here at all. We definitely had an awesome time! read more

Although I did not end up having my event at The Heist (purely because my party took a different direction and was held on a boat), I was thrilled at the communication we had with Kellyrose while still in the consideration phase. She was so very helpful, accommodating, responsive and generously kind. She reached out to us quickly and was so very helpful in talking out our potential needs. I only wish all vendors would be this much of a delight to work with. If I have another event (on land that is) then I would easily turn my needs to The Heist. Thanks again!! read more

I was excited about a new place opening up in DC so I finally made it over there this weekend! I wasn't expecting it to be amazing or anything since this is DC afterall, but I was pleasantly surprised. A couple friends and I went after a late dinner, so we were relatively early. It was nice though because we were able to secure a decent corner and put our stuff down. Bartenders were nice, door guys were nice, and the music was pretty good. It seemed kind of smaller than fly lounge, but definitely cooler decor and atmosphere. As far as prices, I think shots were the typical $12 each. Will definitely go back! read more

Was looking forward to this place, but they said, ENTRY ONLY FOR $1,000 TABLE RESERVATION. Are you serious? It's located next to "Shake Shack" This little basement ain't that special, plus the dudes at the door are your typical slimy sleezy DC bouncer patrols. I was out with friends (all guys) in DC....didn't have any problems in any of the places we hit that night but when we got to this place things changed...to make the long story short we all got out ID's checked and when we just thought we were getting in (as we were at the front) the bouncer called the 3 girls that were behind us and let them in !
