My wife, son and I stop in to eat from a trip to Jarbidge, food was great! I had the chicken fried steak (made from a ribeye )- one of the best and tender chicken fried steaks I have eaten, as well as the gravy that was spot on. I've never had gravy on my hash browns before but just might from now on. My wife had the ranchers special..... that consisted of eggs, sausage, hash browns and their homemade bread (toasted). She says the breakfast was and by far the best sausage she has ever tasted ( after tasting it I agree). Our son had a cheeseburger and fries. He doesn't always finish a meal or want to take home leftovers but he did this time. Everything was homemade and tasted great and not to mention their coffee and service was absolutely outstanding. We travel between Washington and Arizona twice a year on Hwy. 93 and have been looking for a decent lunch spot for a while. Hate stopping in Twin Falls and finally stumbled upon Helen's. Wow! Great homemade burgers, hand-cut fries, onion rings, and cinnamon rolls. I didn't try the real milk shakes but will next time. Friendly family-run business (since 1947 when Helen, the owner's mom, opened it). Don't let the outside appearance deceive you (it's inside the low office/shop at the Sinclair gas station). I'm Lino Zackary Manglona Tenorio and I'm from an island called Saipan which is a few islands from Guam and I was in the Army but got Medical Discharge/Retired from the Army from being wounded twice at Iraq (October 22, 2006 & January 20, 2007). My job was to look for explosive or anything that deals with explosive and due to being injured twice at war and to assist Infantry or Military Police on there mission by raiding into houses and much more. I also work for Washing Traffic Patrol. On May 18 2018 I was finally was back on the road again but in a Hyundai SantaFe Rental leaving Boise, Idaho and heading to Nevada to see my Fiancée at Nevada but around 8-9:00pm my tire sensor on my dashboard went off and it was saying my tires was low on air. So I pulled into the first gas station (Sinclair) Rogerson Service or R.V. Park/ Helen's Place Cafe located on 1506 N 2300 E Rogerson, Idaho 83302 or 30 South of Twin Falls on Hwy 93 I ask the first person I saw if they had an air pump to refill my tire and person I spoke to said "No our pump broke just recently" then she handed me a portable air pump and she said that I had to drive my vehicle around to the building to plug it into an outlet in order for it to work. I was surprised that she trusted me enough that she didn't even ask me for an ID or what so ever before handing over the Portable pump. So I took the pump and drove around the building where I can plug the pump and soon I found out that I need to go to a tire shop because the flat tire was worse then I thought it was. So I return back to the shop and I told the lady (Anita) about my tire and I ask her the nearest shop that I can go to and she said nearest one is bout 15-20 min away but they'll be closing in 30min. I told her I couldn't make it there on time but I ask if it's ok if I park here for tonight until the morning and she said "Yes". I came across a lady name Ana and Rob who also had outstanding customer service. Next morning when I walked into the Buisness, Anita (Lady Spoke to yesterday) offered me some food to eat and it was so delicious. Later I found out that the 2 people (Anita & Rob) I spoke to were the owners because I requested to talk to the Supervisor/Manager/Owner to tell them how much I appreciate having such a wonderful people/crew working here because I admire and they all deserve to be recognized for there customers service and much more but I was surprise that there actually the ones I needed to talk to and especially they have a beautiful heart. It shows that that they all goes above and beyond to show every everyone how outstanding there customer service is and how anyone who comes here should be treated, I been paying close attention to how all customers they talk to and believe it or not they all went 110%. Not only how they communicate with customers but the food was outstanding, the restroom and the whole place was clean and organized. If I was to pick number from a scale 1-5 on my experience and I would pick #10. They also Highly Support Our Troops and the R.V. Park area is definitely a place to park if your looking for a an area that's safe to park and a Cafe located just walking distance. Yes I would definitely return back again if I'm in the area and I would also refer everyone to this R.V.Park/Cafe after noticing all these Ive experienced. I wanted to take my time to write this to you regardless if there's a dead line I have to meet and to hopefully this brings over more people to this Buisness. A wonderful find adjacent to the gas station. Spoke with the owner, the daughter of the late Helen, the restaurant's namesake. What a delight she is!! Told us the story of the area where she was born and raised. We had burgers. Amazing burgers. The Buckaroo Henry was to die for!!! Smothered with grilled onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese. We swung by for gas on the way back from a jarbridge elk hunt and the cashier let us know about the cafe. We went 3 days straight for dinner even though it was out of the way. In addition got cinnamon rolls for the next days breakfast. The cook and owner really want to make sure you are taken care of and make great food. The prime rib and Portuguese sausage burger were amazing. Like I said before, these people are here to make sure they have happy customers. Highly recommend if you are ever within an hour or two on a trip. read more

We stopped on the way into Idaho from our California home. I just ran in to use the restroom quickly while hubby waited in the car. I had seen a few wrapped large cinnamon rolls on the counter on my way in. On the way out I grabbed a pack of snacks for the hubby and as paying for it I reached over and gave one of the cinnamon rolls a mild poke fully expecting to feel a dry hardened bread like I'm used to in most cinnamon rolls. To my pleasant surprise it felt soft and sprung back like a freshly cooked, homemade bakery item. I am gluten intolerant so decided I would surprise my sweet hubby with a sweet roll. I got back to the car and hubby asked me ro drive as he opened to bag of surprises I presented him with. He soon had half of the massive sweet roll devoured. As he was wrapping it up I took one last sniff of the sweet aroma of this spongy delight looming in the air. Then I decided "one bite won't hurt." As he agreeded I could taste it, I took one bite. I instantly realized this was the best cinnamon roll ever made in the history of all the world. I asked if he minded if I finished it. Before he could answer I engulfed the remainder of this glorious gift from God!! Hands down the most perfect cinnamon roll I've ever had. We've been back in California for 6 months now. The details of our trip are slowly fading, with exception of that cinnamon roll. Seriously it's already on the agenda for our next trip to Idaho. read more

I'm thrilled I get to go back tomorrow morning and have a crack at breakfast! For dinner I had a tasty salad, steak, baked potato and chocolate shake and was one of best meals I've ever eaten. On our way to Jackpot, NV and my wife and I stumbled upon this little gem last night. We happened to come in for some Tylenol from the convenience store (which they actually had), only to smell an unearthly aroma. We had no idea there was a family cafe in the back and next thing you know we were trying a sample of the most delicious prime rib offered up by Anita, the proprietor. We enjoyed the sample of the Friday prime rib special so much we stayed for dinner. Constance drew each of us a glass of some of the best water I have tasted right from the tap and we dug into a great meal. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast on our way back home today. Had one of the best burgers I've had and my wife enjoyed homemade hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and ham. Best part was the homemade bread and strawberry jam, both prepared that day!
