Bigggg fan of this place! The heights is lacking good boba tea places so I'm really glad Hella put a second location here. My favorites are the oolong milk foam tea and the Thai tea, but everyone loves their classic Hella Bubble milk tea. Tip: If you get the the oolong milk foam tea with boba, make sure use the little heart area to sip it in addition to drinking through straw. It's the perfect drink when you get the foam and then the oolong tea rather than mixing it all together. That's why they have the little hole! read more

This Hella Bubble is just as good as the original one in River Oaks. They get the mix just right with just the right bounce in their boba. The best part besides their sturdy cups is that they use nondairy creamer. Most people do not digest cow milk well and I'm glad that there is a good quality boba place in the Heights now. Before there was really only one other place in the Heights that served boba tea but they only offer dairy options like half and half and coconut milk. They also use loose leaf tea which is great if you really like the al natural flavor but I am very pleased with the taste of the drinks here. This place is tucked away on the side of the Goodwill center. You can order ahead of time online as well which saves time. read more

I love boba tea, but I have to say this is not really my style. Just came to get some quick drinks to go, but didn't really enjoy the vibe here when I walked in. The customer service is just okay, and it's also a really small location without enough seating. The drinks are standard, almost basic, and nothing really stood out. Got the Passionfruit Mango tea and it was just really syrupy without any distinct mango or passionfruit flavor. Unfortunately, this would not be my first pick for boba tea. read more

I wasn't expecting a boba place to be that good if it's not in Chinatown, but we were pleasantly surprised. The place itself is pretty tiny and only has room for one group of customers at a time, but the gentleman who made our drinks today was very kind and attentive. Not only did he follow our directions to the T, but he also made our drinks with just the right amount of sweetness. I can't tell you how hard it is to find good boba places that don't overload their drinks with sugar. Was looking for some tapioca in the Heights area instead of driving all the way out to Chinatown. Was pretty sorely disappointed. Drinks are on average $6. I got the strawberry smoothie with lychee, and the strawberry taste was extremely artificial, and the lychee was extremely overpowering. And the end price of that was around $7.50! My friend didn't enjoy her drink either (Black tea milk tea), and we're both regular/long time tapioca drinkers. Stick with Chinatown spots my friends. read more

I love this spot for boba the only problem was that the fact on the site it says there closed at 11pm and when I got there at around 9:35 I walked in and they were saying that they were already closing, but they left the door unlocked and yet on the site it says they close at 11 I don't get that. Either y'all let your employees close early or y'all need to change the time. read more

A short staff training on simple customer service etiquette would do this place some good. "Give me a moment and I'll be right with you." is something they could try saying instead of completely ignoring customers after taking an order prior to theirs. Three occasions I've come in and after they take the order of the person before me, they just walk away and start another task. Today it was the gentleman in the Ariat hat. After he took the order before me he just walked to the back and told the other worker they needed to prep some boba. A little acknowledgment of your patrons when they walk in the door could polish this place up a bit. read more

Love this place. I think the drink here is better than most milk tea places in town, which Houston has a lot of. The portion for topping is definitely more generous than most places. My default drink is their kiwi with aloe Vera drink. One thing about this place is the drink is not extra sweet where I have to ask for a sugar adjustment. read more

More of a stop and go boba shop. Really small but nice. I would recommend the coffee smoothie. I like that the boba is fresh most of the time I go. The workers are all really nice and they play music I like all the time. Ok, Houston should also be known as boba tea city, I've never seen so many boba places in my life! There's literally one on each corner, I'm not complaining, I love it. Now that I've tried a whole list of boba spots, I'd have to say Hella Bubble ranks high up there. I get the wintermelon tea with milk foam almost every time I'm there, it's so so good. Hella rude staff. The door says must wear a mask and one group can enter at a time. My bf put his mask on and waited in line then once he was inside another guy came in behind him without a mask. The staff asked my bf if they came together and he said no....,but they allowed this guy to stay instead of making him follow the same rules as everyone else which upset my bf as he was trying to respect the establishment. Then the girl taking my bf order gave him attitude as if doing her job was annoying. Trying to support local business and that's what you get. Stopped by Hella Bubble with my husband for a boba fix after our grocery shopping. We were not disappointed at all, drinks was amazing and the tea was very aromatic! Hella Bubble allows you to select the amount of sugar, if any, you want in your drink and also the amount of ice you want. I really like when milk tea places provide these options. They were very quick and friendly. I got the classic bubble milk tea, and it was great! read more

Was here a few days ago and very excited to try this spot. We were told we needed a mask which was no problem, asked if they provided any and they said no but provided no solution. Just blank stares. We didn't mind calling in an order if we had to or even waiting outside. Well my s/o missed the comment and started to order as I was walking out to see if I could retrieve a mask.. the cashier told us with an attitude "No, it's fine. You guys are half way done ordering anyways." We paid and waited outside. The door had barely closed and all the girls started to started to make rude comments and were hysterically laughing. Hella Bubble has the best boba, it's so chewy and sweet. This is my favorite place to go for tea.

The drink was really good and I think Hella Bubble's cups are so cute. However I much prefer the River Oaks location to this one because they only allow one customer or group in the store at a time. That's normally fine, but the line then forms outside which is pretty hot this time of year. What was particularly annoying is that even though I ordered ahead I still had to wait in the line (outside) for each customer ahead of me to order, pay, wait for their order to be made, and leave before I could go in to pick mine up (which was already made and paid for), making it a 15 min wait. I'd suggest waiting until they allow online orders to enter upon arrival or just go to the River Oaks location. read more

worst tea shop ever. i used to go there a lot but never again. i ordered the Thai tea and drank half of it only to find out that it was rotten. now I know your thinking why would I drink half of it but the taste was fine. there was this film that sat on the top I noticed and when I tried to pour it out the tea was very thick and almost had the consistency of eggs. i think that's very disgusting. thats not the first time either like I said I used to go there a lot but after the last 2 times I had that happen to me both times but I never had that before. also the manager is very rude.
