Great customer service!!! Cute spot and good variety of drinks!! I ordered the coconut milk with coffee jelly and mango smoothie and the strawberry smoothie with poppin boba! Yummm We all enjoyed our drinks and honestly can't complain!! I like the fact that they give you the option to ask for less ice without getting upset like other spots!! They were in the process of training and loved how the attention to detail was on point!! Ambiance is very chill and comfy

It's been a fruitful (#1) journey for Hella Bubble, which has seen a lot of success in just these short 5 years which has spawned many reviews, numerous fanfare, and additional locations in the Heights, Kingwood, and even San Antonio. They've been one of the most popular boba spots in the loop and I don't see things slowing down anytime soon. Instead of competing with the many boba chains in places like Chinatown, they've made the strategic move to be in places where boba is an afterthought. It's smart move to be in a place like River Oaks and become a go-to option in the inner loop. The shop might be tiny, but the output is most certainly mighty. I've found myself coming here often over the years to indulge in their black and green teas, and I've always enjoyed their regular milk tea. Their oolong tea has also been a regular order for me and occasionally I dabble in their milk foam series as well as their smoothies. There's nothing groundbreaking here with the execution, but they've kept it relatively simple and I'm thankful for it. The last couple of times recently have been a little off with the customer service and my drinks have also been a little less satisfactory. I'm not sure if they're going through staff challenges but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt seeing as they've done so well in the past. Ultimately, they've capitalized on the boba craze and have done well for themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see hella locations throughout Texas and I'll likely be riding (sipping) along at each of them at some point. ____________ (#1) Pun unintended.

Got the Kiwi Fruit Tea since I wanted something refreshing. The drink was good and toppings tasted fresh, but was a little bit too sweet for my taste. I tried my friend's milk tea and that was really good especially with all the toppings.

I wasn't that impressed by hella bubble-- though service was fast and boba was fresh, the drinks (i got the hella bubble milk tea) tasted a bit like they were made from concentrate or powder instead of fresh tea. I don't know if i would come back again unless i was already in the area.

I went to try Hella Bubble for the first time, as it's a nice boba location open late in the River Oaks area. It's a spacious location with plenty of options to choose from the menu, and plenty of seating and tables. I came here to study and there were outlets nearby and a comfy booth along the wall to sit, making it a great place to do work! I ordered the iced Jasmine Green Tea with grass jelly and cheese foam. The cheese foam was delicious and thick, and the tea itself was sweet and refreshing. The grass jelly was not the best topping, as it broke apart easily and wasn't my preference in texture when it comes to grass jelly. I also tried the milk tea with tapioca and the matcha latte. The milk tea was decent but the tapioca was too soft and hot, making the iced drink warmer quickly. I do not recommend the matcha latte at all, it tasted like sweet milk. The baristas were friendly and our drinks came out reasonably quickly as well. I will say I found these prices quite expensive for a boba shop, but it makes sense considering where Hella Bubble is located.

Sofia was incredible with understanding of the menu and pointed us to the best tasting boba flavors!

Love coming here because the boba is so soft and sweet. This is great for hangouts but not necessarily studying. The hella bubble deluxe is a bang for the buck since you get tapioca, baby tapioca, egg pudding, red bean and lychee jelly for 6.5 dollars. The parking may be full in the lot, so try in the back of the building. The service is always fast and accommodating.

Signage

This was very good experience the service was impeccable as well. They're very knowledgeable about their products and helped us first timers chose the best drinks that best represented what we had taste for. Will be back.

Ask the Community - Hella Bubble

Can you substitute milk powder in the milk teas for soy milk?

It depends on the drink. For these types of request they have lattes in which you can substitute whole milk for almond.

Vegan? Or Non dairy options?

Hella bubble uses non-dairy creamer

Are the fruit teas made with real fruit or syrup based?

My taste buds says real fruit. But you can verify with the Hella Bubble.

Finally got to try Hey Tea bc I had something to do at the Galleria today…read more My friend was hyping up this place as its one of his favorite boba places in Houston. There were a lot of choices to choose from on the menu and honestly all of them looked appealing. But since I wanted to try my friend's go-to order, I stuck with the Jasmine Milk Tea. The default is less sugar which I find just right. Not too sweet and not too bland. You can definitely smell/taste the Jasmine as well. I enjoyed it and would definitely go back if I was at the Galleria again. But since there are a ton of boba shops in the area, I wouldn't personally make a trip down here specifically to just get a drink.

Prepping for a long day at the Galleria, we stopped by HeyTea with high hopes--only to discover…read morethey were out of what felt like half the menu. I originally came for the King Jasmine Guava (RIP to my expectations), but ended up pivoting to one of their newer drinks instead. Honestly? Not the worst compromise. My brother and I both ordered our drinks at 25% sweetness. Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut - Since my first choice was sold out, I landed on this and found it... solid. The jasmine tea flavor came through strongly and tasted pleasantly aromatic, while the pistachio cream was very true to flavor and didn't feel artificial. That said, at 25% sweetness, the drink leaned a little bland for me, and mixing the cream into the tea didn't really elevate things the way I hoped. Nothing tasted bad--it pretty much tasted exactly how you'd imagine from the name, just without a particularly memorable twist that made me stop and go, "Whoa." I understand the appeal, but I wasn't blown away. Cloud Mango - My brother's pick was much more of a hit. The mango flavor tasted fresh and delicious, though this thing was COLD cold. Every sip felt like an immediate brain freeze waiting to happen. If you enjoy ultra-refreshing drinks, this would probably be right up your alley. I was also told the Cloud Crisp Grape was especially good, but naturally... sold out too. Overall, presentation was great, service was quick, and everything tasted very fresh and intentionally made. One thing I appreciated was that the drinks weren't overloaded with ice the way many boba spots can be. While I wasn't exactly amazed by the flavors, I also wasn't disappointed either--they landed comfortably in the middle. Would I say it justified the price? Maybe not, considering I've had better drinks elsewhere for less. But at the Galleria? I begrudgingly accept the tax of convenience.

I have tried just about everything on the menu across the Houston, Dallas, and Austin locations,…read moreand can confidently say that they knock it out of the park every time. While the osmanthus with cream remains my personal favorite, this visit I ordered the high mountain pouchong with orange and was not disappointed. It's refreshing in the Texas heat, a little tangy from the citrus and perfectly sweet (the lemon variety of it is also exceptional). Seating inside is rather limited, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, good for sitting awhile and having a chat while you drink. One of my favorite tea stops of all!

Luckily there wasn't a line. I picked up a green tea passion fruit tea and was surprised how tasty it was! The drink was a pretty yellow hue with passion fruit seeds at the top. The green tea flavor wasn't overly strong or dry wnd was very fragrant-- super tasty~ It came in a recyclable little sling carrier too, super cute :) I love how the brand focuses on real fruit, milk/cream so there aren't any artificial ingredients lurking around. You can order at the kiosk or at the cashier. For sweetness customization, they only have full level, less sweet, and no sugar options. The less sweet is already plenty sweet for me, so wish there was a slightly less sweet option than that. The service was polite and friendly, and the inside was clean with several tables. Besides the great taste, I really appreciate the "no artificial stuff" way of doing things. After one drink I'm Chicha San Chen fan! Be sure to stop by sometime and try their tea :D
