Hello, Gelato! I always look forward to eating a sweet treat and Hello Gelato is consistently my go-to. The 2 ladies who work there are genuinely so patient when taking your order. The place is so cute and makes you feel happy when you walk inside. There are so many amazing and beautiful gelato options to choose from. I definitely recommend:)

Stopped by on Friday, 08/22/25 at night. Ordered the following: - 2 small cups ($6.75 each) / I got the matcha green tea flavor and my boyfriend got the chocolate flavor) TOTAL = $13.50 The gelato tasted amazing!!! Such a hidden local gem located at Old Town Pasadena.

I absolutely love Hello Gelato! The owner is so kind and the service is always great. The employees also go above and beyond! We absolutely love coming here for a sweet treat and also love to get pints to take home. They also offer a loyalty stamp card for customers which is really nice. There's lots of vegan options too, which we love since we're vegan! I definitely recommend this place for really good and fresh gelato!

Really mediocre gelato. It's not silky as gelato should be. The texture was a bit harder and felt more airy like traditional ice cream. I think depending on the day, some flavors could taste less fresh if they've been sitting there for a while - you can tell because some flavors are going to be very soft and others harder. Flavors were not very intense either, especially the taro flavor. The stracciatella flavor had too many fine chips. I do like the hazelnut flavor - tastes a lot like Nutella. It's good value dessert, though, compared to Wanderlust Creamery across the street. A medium size is $7.50 and they really stuff the cup.

The best time for ice cream is always! Lemon cooler non-fat/non-dairy

Adventure is a flavor--am I right or am I right? Nevertheless, in this case, I had the Lemon cooler flavor that is non fat and non dairy. It was lemony, flavorful, and just what I needed on a warm summer day. Eat adventurously! It was clean, inside a small space. Everyone was friendly and I would recommend. They have clearly marked flavors and I would like to try the other non-dairy flavors. "Dessert: the sweetest form of self-love."

Amazing! I rarely find sugar tree treats anywhere and they had two flavors here; hazelnut and chocolate. My partner and I sampled both and decided on the chocolate, it was so rich and creamy! Recommend and definitely coming back.

June 22st 2025 approximately 4 o'clock Me and my girlfriends wanted to have gelato ice cream, so we walked into this store. That were two employees over-the-counter, having a conversation. We waited few minutes, still not served. So, one of my girlfriend said Hi Can you help us? Then, a employee named Melissa She was extremely rude she put the hand on air said "just wait" continued to lecture to the other employee. The other employee she has tears on her eyes, seems very sad. So we stepped in and said, "what's going on here ? And Melissa with bad attitude with bitter face expression said i "It's nothing" we decided to engage the conversation and said, "if y'd coach another employee, you don't do that in front of customers. You pull her aside or in the back, NOT in front of customers. It's not good" Meanwhile, we were asking the other employee's name and she was scared to giving out her name to us. Then all of sudden, older lady just showed up from the back, she claims she is a manager of the store. So we explained about the situation, however seems like she doesn't care or she doesn't acknowledge how this customer service is horrible. - FYI WE, Me and my girlfriends have worked over 10 years as a counter manager at High-end store, WE ALL know actually what is going on! The other employee who refused give us her name, she got threatened and humiliated in front of customers. that is absolutely NOT OKAY.

The woman who helped my niece and I was super patient. My niece got vanilla bean with gummy bears, and I went with mint chip -- both were delicious! The total was around $14, which isn't bad. I'd definitely come back!

A cute little gelato shop in the heart of Old Town Pasadena! It smells a little odd in the store but we still managed to stay for gelato! The owner said we only get to sample 2 flavors, which is hard especially when it's your first time in the store! We were able to get two flavors in the small cup! The strawberry was delicious and so was the chocolate chip! Gelato tasted fresh!

The perfect place for a sweet treat! They have so many flavors to choose from, there's really something for everyone. They have fruity, tart, creamy, chocolatey, and lots more. They do let you sample if you want to try a flavor. It's a bit on the pricier side ($6 for a small) but it taste like quality gelato. I had the banana and chocolate hazelnut which was a great duo. The hazelnut had bits of chocolate in it which I really enjoyed. The service is very nice and efficient, especially when they are very busy.

recently visited Hello Gelato and had an absolutely delightful experience! The gelato here is incredibly creamy and satisfying, truly a treat for the taste buds. They offer an impressive array of flavors, making it an exciting adventure to try out different options each time you visit. Whether you're in the mood for classic chocolate or something more adventurous like lavender honey, they've got you covered. The atmosphere of the place is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed outing. Prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the gelato, and the service is exceptional. The staff is friendly and always ready to offer recommendations if you're overwhelmed by the choices. If you're looking for a fantastic gelato spot with great flavors, a pleasant environment, and excellent service, Hello Gelato is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Great small shop located in busy downtown area of Pasadena. Business was clean and limited to no seating is available inside. This shop is more on the go. Street parking available as well as garage parking next door which is only $1 for the first hour. The flavors have so much variety and it's so hard to pick! All of the gelato flavors sound and look delicious! It was so challenging to pick what I was going to have. I grabbed a few samples and decided to get the blueberry cheesecake and rocky road which were very good. The cookies and cream was delicious as well. In addition, the mixed berries was so, so good! The small and medium cups allow you to choose from two different flavors!the large cup allows you to choose from maximum 3 flavors. We will definitely be returning. Price point is fair for what you get! Amazing and worth every spoonful.

The Ube Malted Crunch® definitely lived up to the hype. It was creamy, rich, and had that slightly nutty vanilla-like ube flavor with crunchy malted bits that added a really fun texture. You can see why it's their signature flavor. The pandan tres leches was also interesting and unique. It's light, creamy, and fragrant with a subtle pandan flavor that felt refreshing rather than overly sweet. It had a soft, milky dessert vibe that worked really well as ice cream. Service was friendly and patient while letting us sample flavors, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The vibe is modern, trendy, and fun, with lots of creative flavors inspired by different cultures and desserts around the world. Definitely feels like more than just a typical ice cream shop. Would absolutely come back to try more seasonal and specialty flavors next time.

On our most recent visit - admittedly our first in a while - I was surprised that the flavors mostly seemed like repeats from a long time ago. Of course, you want to feature what is most popular, but I remember previously seeing things that were truly one of a kind, even for them. (Out of curiosity, I visited their website and the seasonal flavor blog hasn't been updated since spring 2021). None of this is a deal-breaker, but the feeling of "tiredness" permeated my interaction with the staff, too. There was no joy behind the counter, which I found odd for ice cream that is supposedly about the love of travel. When I tried to order a scoop of one flavor, I was told that I couldn't have it because there wasn't enough left for a full scoop. When I asked if I could have the half scoop that remained and just combine it with another flavor (trying to solve the problem for them), I was told that they aren't allowed to do half and half splits anymore. Fortunately, another employee showed up at that very moment with a fresh full tub of that flavor, but it still struck me as odd. They were also out of cones because of another problem. I am giving them four stars because the ice cream is still great and definitely worth a try if you've never had it, but I hope they can maintain their spark and magic as they continue to expand.

This isn't a problem for us as we take our scoops to the free tables at One Colorado (behind the ice cream shop) and eat outside with our dog. Service is stellar. I appreciate how patient the staff is and how much they want you to choose a flavor that you really want to eat. The unfortunate part is that the ice cream really isn't that good, and the portions are small for what you pay.  What really turned me off, though, was the lack of common sense from the staff. If you've been here, you know they have a display case with slices of cake and pie. Normally you look through the case and point to the piece you want. That's exactly what I did. There were about ten pieces of cake in the case, and I picked one that had the perfect icing-to-cake ratio. The employee asked what I wanted, and when I pointed to the slice she told me, "You can only pick from these two," while holding up two other pieces. Apparently those were the older slices that they were trying to get rid of. They were clearly smaller and, judging by how they were being pushed, probably not the freshest either. Since I was basically being forced to buy something I didn't want, I said I didn't want anything. She just said "okay" and moved on to help the rest of my family. At that point I told my family we were leaving and heading to Bloomfield Creamery in Altadena instead. The employee had every opportunity to use a little common sense and simply give me the slice I asked for. I work hard for my money, and if I'm paying premium prices, I expect to choose what I'm buying. Instead, they lost Madre family of customers for good.
