We all found free street parking, entered the cozy shop, and perused the offerings.... The Crazy Apple is packed with all kinds of goodies! The menu has many options including mangonada, fried Oreos, and Fresh Fruit Cup. I ordered a Mango Fruit Cup and watched in amazement how the mango was peeled and cubed! Lemon juice was poured over the top and salt was then sprinkled. I was offered homemade Chamoy powder. I tasted it first - it had a slight kick, so, I passed on it. This little mom and pop shop has some amazing treats. We were looking for a place to grab some dessert and this place did not disappoint. Things that I loved: -patient and accommodating owners -a variety of treats (candies, ice cream, etc.) -homemade -lots of street parking I ended up getting the Mango Loco Ice Cream! Hmm, it's a small mom and pop shop run by a hubby wife duo. Shout out to Isel for giving the kindest service, and being so friendly, and helpful. The mango was so lovely. I'm Craving it now while writing this review. The homemade spice that replicates tajin is Isel's secret recipe that brings her customers in from all over Cali, as well as out of state. She mentioned she even has celebrity pop in customers. I guess you gotta go try it, to know wassup! They had giant Mexican lollipops-watermelon, corn, and mango. Those caught my eye. I bought a few for my siblings. The pineapple covered in chocolate was basic. There's street parking. No indoor seating. It's more of a grab and go spot, but there's 1 table outside with 2-3 stools. I really wanted to try their caramel Apple, but the owner mentioned the tamarindo apple was better than the caramel and chocolate covered ones. So, the only person who ate -the crazy apple. The crazy apple is across Marshall high school in Pasadena off Allen. I was sooo pleasantly surprised. They were open on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the tostilocos and they were amazing!! We just left this establishment and first off they are so welcoming ! We asked for a smoothie recommendation as it was our first time and was told their mango smoothie was popular so that's what we got. Upon heading out, the owner gave my boys a free snow cone. My wife and I love The Crazy Apple. That sentence could be the full review, but then I wouldn't be telling you all about their delicious elote, preferably with flamin' hot Cheetos, or their secret weapon against my ability to stay on a diet: chamoy gushers. I have a nostalgic sweet spot for gushers, sure, I'm a kid of the 90s, that's just life, but I never really liked chamoy. To me, it always seemed like the worst part of a mangonada, or god forbid, a terrible thing some places dump in a michelada. Here, though? It works. Amazingly well. The spice, the sour, the sweet, all mix with the sweet and sour of the gushers and it's just divine. Definitely order the chamoy gushers. They have a whole menu of sweet treats we haven't even had the chance to dive into yet, but eventually, I want to try them all! I ordered Postmates from The Crazy Apple while I was staying with a relative in Pasadena and OH. MY. GOSH. I am so sad that I don't live closer because I would be here every single day if I did. The menu is quite big and covers a lot of different cravings which is awesome. I could definitely see this as a one-stop-shop if you're with a group of people: something for everybody! I absolutely loved what I ordered: an elote, fried oreos with lecherita, and a caramel-and-white-chocolate-covered apple... YUM! The wait was a bit longer, maybe because I ordered at night, but it was 10000% worth every single extra minute. My Postmate literally handed me the bag after waiting for my order to finish and said "everything was made fresh," and you could tell! I could tell the corn was freshly cooked- it wasn't rubbery and slightly plastic-y like old corn that's been sitting around all day. And the fried oreos were divine, still warm when I got them and the batter was still crispy, even though it had been soaking up the lecherita. The apple was still warm too! Everything was just, OMG, so good. I love their consideration for everything as well- their service seems very accommodating from what I've seen on delivery apps and their social media, and they followed order notes perfectly. I needed that Mangonada badly! The crazy apple staff had my order ready and I felt bad that they had lost money on this cancellation by DoorDash. German and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a craving for chamoy gummies, but didn't know exactly what we wanted. They were kind of enough to walk us through their extensive selection of gummies and provided suggestions. We ended up with a mix of different gummies and it was delicious! Speaking with German, he explained that their chamoy mix is homemade and perfected over the years. In addition to the gummies we also got the mangonada which was excellent!
