Cozy boba shop that's off the beaten path. Shares a Hong Kong milk tea with my sister here after lunch and ordered it to go. There's a small amount of seating inside. I liked the creaminess of the drink and the boba was nice and chewy. It seems to be locally owned and I'm all about supporting small businesses. Credit cards are accepted.

rue Tea is the real deal. From the moment I walked in the vibe was warm welcoming and authentic. The owner is absolutely amazing genuinely kind and you can tell she truly cares about her craft and her customers. She even shared a piece of her home cooked bread with me and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was some of the best bread I've ever tasted. Comfort food level unlocked. Now the boba wow easily some of the best I've had. Super authentic perfectly balanced not overly sweet and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can taste the difference immediately. This place isn't just about drinks it's about heart culture and doing things the right way. Loved it and will 100% be back.

Pineapple SenCha @ Aromatic Black Milk Tea with their house made boba, didn't even have to adjust the sweetness! It was perfect.

First time I didn't have to adjust the sweetness level and it was perfect. The pineapple sencha was sooo refreshing and the aromatic black tea was good. Bonus is the house made boba!

This charming tea house is a hidden gem, offers quality teas, a calming ambiance, and fair prices. Some of the menu items are seasonal. On the weekends they have amazing baked in house pastries! The real star, of course, is the tea itself. The boba tea house uses high-quality teas, with unique and flavorful blends. You can tell immediately that the tea is brewed with care, offering a depth of flavor that elevates the overall experience. The boba is made in house using quality ingrdients which reflect in the taste of the boba as it is perfectly chewy, and fresh. Despite offering top-tier tea and ingredients, the drinks are reasonably priced, making it accessible without sacrificing quality. Whether you're a boba connoisseur or a casual drinker, this tea house is a delightful spot to indulge in your favorite flavors, all while enjoying a tranquil moment to yourself. In summary, this boba tea house is an excellent choice for anyone seeking high-quality tea, a quiet place to relax, and great value for money. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this gem while attending an event nearby, and I'm so glad I did! It's just a short walk from Pasadena convention center and old town, making it super convenient. The vibe inside is clean, calm, and naturally styled--perfect for a quick break or a cozy sit-down. Their fruit tea and boba options are so refreshing--light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell they use real ingredients, not syrupy shortcuts. I also treated myself to one of their freshly baked desserts, made with all-natural ingredients, and it was honestly the healthiest indulgence I've had in a while. If you're in the area and looking for something fresh, tasty, and a little better for you, this place is a must-visit!

Great boba tea shop! The owner is awesome, she makes everything herself, only good ingredients like fresh fruit and real tea. No artificial syrups! And she makes the cute pastries! I had the California chai milk tea. Perfectly spiced with a balanced, mild sweetness, and freshly made boba. Highly recommend, and supporting a small business!

Cozy spot with great service and made from scratch boba. Yummy home made desserts, and also has free parking on the back.

Stopped back by yesterday for another visit with my two dogs, Zoe and Chloe. They were so happy to see our friend! Always a fun and pleasant visit. And it smelled like sugar cookie heaven when you walked in. Her teas are absolutely amazing! And she hand makes her own boba. Can't recommend this place enough!

Earl Grey tea + oat milk + boba with chocolate chip cookies!

Lovely new tea shop in Pasadena! The owner is so sweet and offers spot-on recommendations based on your taste preferences if you're feeling unsure. I had the earl grey milk tea; It was classic, and the boba was so delicious & tender. I also appreciated the dairy free alternatives! You just can't go wrong with their dessert offerings. I tried the chocolate chip cookies and regretted not getting the Lemon Pound cake too. I'll try that and any others on my future visits Bonus: With the free parking at the Pasadena Inn next door, it's so easy for me to stop by on my way from the grocery stores on Arroyo!

Curious about what freshly made boba tastes like? Stop by Tru Tea to savor best-quality boba made from scratch! (Free parking is conveniently located next door at Pasadena Inn.) Tru Tea showcases its specialties (drinks, cookies, etc.) with natural ingredients and attention to details. The perfectly chewy boba complemented Earl Gray Milk Tea so well. In general it's best not to leave beverage overnight, but because I ordered the sizeable drink after a full meal and couldn't finish it, the next day I microwaved the leftover boba which did not lose its chewiness and flavor at all - the same cannot be said for pre-made, pre-packaged boba. Peach Oolong (Formosa Oolong + peach + agave) was aromatic and refreshing too. (This is another reason I couldn't finish the Earl Gray Milk Tea. Peach Oolong was also of generous portion.) As specified on Tru Tea's website, all fruit teas are brewed in-house with real fruit infusion and sweetened with organic agave nectar. I once counted the number of eateries that served boba tea on my way to work (15-minute commute) - there were about 12! SoCal is laden with tea establishments. Competition could not be more fierce. What motivates me to leave this review is not only Tru Tea proprietor's enthusiasm but also the sincere attempt to differentiate products and services!

I guess this is the spot for coffee and pastries in Pasadena. It was a cute shop with a millennial-friendly aesthetic. Brick walls, exposed ceiling, and lots of hanging lights. Case full of beautiful pastries, house chocolates and merchandise for sale. The line moved quickly enough, and service was friendly and reasonably fast. A table opened up for us when we needed it, and we sat and enjoyed our coffee and pastry. I got a salted honey latte, which was delicious. I'm not a habitual coffee drinker, and this felt like a special indulgent little treat. I'm not a pastry person either, but the kougin amann was fantastic, rich and buttery and shatteringly crispy. I also got a chocolate croissant to go for my husband, who said it was really good. We sat for maybe half an hour, and when we left, someone was there to take our spot, and we had to squeeze past the line that was coming through the door. I don't like coffee and sweets enough to do all that on a regular basis, but I enjoyed my visit to Artisanal Goods and would recommend it if you want top notch pastries in Pasadena.

I know there is some seasonal items that sell out really quick to keep an eye out of. The chocolate croissant was great and I'll have to wait to try some of their other items next time which I also hear is amazing. The dining area isn't the biggest popular places. It's probably not the easiest to find a spot to sit and enjoy unless you time it correctly.

First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.

Their New York rolls were full, rich, flaky, and flavorful. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has gone completely downhill. The croissants are now dry, overcooked, and tasteless , even early in the morning. It honestly feels like they changed the butter because the flavor is gone. The pastries look beautiful for Instagram, but the taste no longer matches the image. People probably come for the terrace and the "Paris" aesthetic, but nothing about these pastries feels authentically French anymore. The owner is Iranian and honestly should stick to Iranian pastries instead of trying to market this place as a French pâtisserie, because it is nowhere close to the quality or refinement of a real French pastry shop. On top of that, customer service is terrible. The employees are rude, impatient, and act bothered when you ask simple questions like the price of a croissants ; especially since prices are not clearly displayed. Paying almost $7 for a croissant or New York roll, and $10+ for many pastries, would maybe be acceptable with excellent quality and service... but definitely not with dry pastries and rude staff. Parking is another nightmare. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you have to park on San Fernando, pay for parking, and parking enforcement is constantly circling waiting to ticket people the second your time expires. This was my last visit. Save your money and go elsewhere for pastries -- honestly, even Whole Foods does better at this point.
