I have recently discovered the milk tea at Hello Jasmine and began going more and more often after each visit. The milk tea sold there in which is as similar as it can be to the Kung Fu Tea's classic milk tea would be the brown sugar milk tea. The sweetness level is not as high as the milk tea at Kung Fu Tea, but it is relatively delicate and mild which still brings a great amount of tastiness upon sipping the drink and chewing the boba. The boba pearls themselves are soft and easy to chew but they do not taste very sweet and I would personally consider it a bit bland. However, the milk tea and brown sugar flavouring does balance this out which creates the perfect combination of milk tea and boba for me. The classic milk tea from Hello Jasmine is one that I would most likely recommend in the immediate moment that someone asks me where one would go to find great boba milk tea. The shop itself has many tables and chairs for anyone who would like to sit-down or those who would like to order and eat the food they offer. The service is generally quick and they even implemented a kiosk machine for those who are trying to order through an application or pay online. Boba connoisseur? Right here. The employees are pretty nice. On occasion they don't really smile, but nonetheless I wouldn't blame them. Store owner knows a relative and is an absolute joy to talk to. Usually, boba teas that I have tasted have a perfume-y taste. Or a somewhat strange unnatural taste. This place has it all natural. You can change the sugar and ice amount. The sugar they use tastes so good! Some drinks aren't my favorite, but that's just my personal opinion. (Roasted lolong milk tea for the win!) Food and snacks are also absolutely delicious! I recommend the black sugar pudding and the popcorn chicken hands down. The pudding has real black sugar imported from Taiwan I heard? The pudding tastes like rice perfectly mixed in harmony with the sugar. The popcorn chicken is a welcome new taste for when you want to whet your appetite. I have spent hours with my family members chatting while occasionally snacking. There is a comfortable atmosphere in this store and it is nicely decorated. Overall, a win for the customer. My favorite tea shop in Chicago finally open up the third one. I used to go to the one located in the basement of Chinatown food court. For the new place, def much more spaces, you get to sit down order you drinks and foods, they also came up with their newest drinks, Milk Cloud Tea, you can pick either the fresh milk or the fresh milk tea, with the flavor of fruit you like. Really recommend Hello Jasmine to everybody, def try their authentic Taiwanese food, I really like the braised pork over rice! read more

Good food. Good boba. Good chicken. Only issue was once we placed our order and put our name in, they never called the name. They just have the order ready and wait until customers come up and follow up. This happened not only with our order but for other people who were waiting at tables next to us. Hands down the best place to get street food in all of Chinatown. Me and my mom come here all the time just to order the grilled tofu, fried cuttlefish ball and popcorn chicken. I can't help but to continuously come back for these staples, ooo and don't get me started on their milk teas. I can't handle sugar so I usually get 25% sugar and it still tastes amazing. read more

I think this is the place where you can chill and hang out with your friends or family while having delicious drinks and food. I love the drinks here and the Taiwanese street food here is also really good too, personally never really tried the meals, but will someday! Please bring back the creamy mango smoothie! That was one of the best smoothies I've ever had! Their fish balls are pretty good too, but be careful when ordering extra extra spicy, it almost killed me... even though I kind of liked it. I must be a masochist. read more
