Super good noodles and friendly staff! We got The 5 spice beef noodles, the brisket and wonton noodle soup, the crab rangoons, the shrimp soup, and chicken stir fry. I would say over all it was really good. Not the best I've ever had but very delicious. The crab rangoons were amazing and filled with stuffing. We went on a Saturday around 2 pm and it wasn't that busy.

Ambiance - great for small and large groups, lots of tables for indoor dining Service - staff was really nice and food was out fairly quickly Food - everything was super flavorful, beef brisket was tender, tofu was lightly battered and just the right amount of salt + pepper

Cumin Lamb, okay flavor, would not recommend

I have been to Yummy Yummy Noodles a few times when I come to Chicago for work. They do one thing really good: noodle soups. All the ones I have tried from wonton to beef tendon and brisket are tasty and satisfying. Their Chinese BBQ is hit and miss. Last time I visited the roasted pork belly was divine. This time I had a duo platter with the pork belly and duck. It was mediocre, pork was too fatty and chewy. The duck was bland, no dipping sauce, and stringy. We also had the cumin lamb which I usually love, but it didn't have great flavor this time. I still recommend it for the soup noodles. I wrote this review mainly to add an updated menu.

A nice, no frills noodle shop in Chinatown with a plethora of traditional Chinese noodle soups for a very good price. I wouldn't say there's anything particularly fancy about this place, it does noodles and does it effectively. Definitely a place to stop by during a cold winter day. The seating area is slightly small and congested so it may get a bit cramped during busy times.

Affordable, simple, yummy noodle restaurant in old China town. Service is quick, food is good, price is affordable, spacious for large group of people dining in. Lots of different menu items from noodle dishes to rice dishes. You can pick your own topping combo for the rice and noodle dishes.

Best duck I've ever had! Can be served over rice or noodles but if it's over noodles it's a soup Husband got the beef tenderloin and dumpling and said it wasn't good He also ordered the Singapore noodles. I really liked it and thought it had a nice curry flavor but he complained the pork was over cooked. Don't skip out on the duck

Fast service, tasty, and inexpensive. It's a hole in the wall type of restaurant but what they serve isn't pretentious. It's just good comfort food.

It's tough to find a spot in Chinatown that can accommodate a large group on a Sunday, but this place has been reliably available whenever we come. Just last Sunday, we went with a group of 10. They serve up the best local Chinese food in the area for a reasonable price. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and everything we've tried has been delicious. I almost want to call this a hidden gem since this place is kind of tucked away and not on the Main Street (Wentworth). Tho ALL the locals know about this. Please go show this place some love. Their service was fast despite how busy it got. My recs if you like bold flavors: - walnut shrimp - crab rangoon - orange chicken

We were here on a field trip two years ago and the food/service was great! I'm guessing it's a husband and wife duo and the wife was especially welcoming. She seemed happy to see a group of middle schoolers eating their food. We will be back again!

Fantastic little place just off the main street with great service and the food is amazing. Very personable and will add/customize your order however you might like.

FINALLY tried this place!! This iconic place in Chinatown serves up large portions of practically ANY Cantonese food you can think of. Their service is QUICK - I went with a group of 8, and another group of 8 came in for takeout. We all got our food within 15 minutes, which is impressive! They have small tables and also 2 round tables with lazy Susans that could probably easily fit 10-12 people! Perfect for a large group hang out! They have a "secret" dine in menu that has all their bbq meats with rice/soup noodle dishes on it. You need to ask specifically! Such affordable prices too! I got the curry beef brisket with rice that was only $8.99. The curry was like typical HK curry fish balls curry, and it came with a generous portion of rice to beef ratio. If you like both beef tendons and brisket, this will be perfect for you!

The wifey and I decided to make a day trip to Chinatown to try many of the delicious restaurants and bakeries, so we decided to give Yummy Yummy Noodles a try. The vibe: the place is your classic hole in the wall restaurant; no frills, traditional and cozy. We went towards opening, so there was no wait and was served right away. We ordered the spicy beef noodle with beef shank and the fried fish balls (not pictured). These dishes hit the spot; so much flavor, good amount of spice (although I am biased toward spicy food), tender beef shank and hot out of the fryer fish balls. As for the noodles, you can choose a variety; from egg, rice or classic vermicelli based on your preference. The price is affordable and the portions are huge. Overall, we'd come here again, the food was delicious and comforting for the soul.

I LOVE YUMMY YUMMY! Prob my favorite and one of THE BEST restaurants in Chinatown! Being Chinese, I can attest to its authenticity(!!!) in flavors. Being 1st generation American born and having had so many other cuisines in Chicago, almost NOTHING (except ma's cooking) beats the quality and flavors here. If you order the bbq, do yourself a favor and do NOT, I repeat, do NOT reheat leftovers in the microwave. Reheat in a pan or wok with a little bit of olive, avocado, or organic canola oil--makes the roast pork, duck, and cha siu taste as good if not better the next day! I SWEAR this! (The pan or wok reheating crisps up that skin SO NICELY) When you can't get ma's home cooking, Yummy Yummy is the place to go. The bbq and especially roast pork are SO GOOD in fried rice (no soy sauce, extra green onions). The seafood and tofu dishes are Quality and cooked perfectly. The fish balls are sooo good! The gailan (Chinese broccoli with garlic) is cooked perfectly! The Chinese sausage fried rice is SO VERY delicious! (Only ma's is better) The only things I'd add if possible to it would be a little salted fish and chives mixed in and a tiny bit of black sesame oil with the fried rice. Their jook (aka congee) is the PERFECT comfort food when it's cold outside. The only thing I'd add to it is some fresh ginger, green onions, and shredded lettuce. Their Chinese BBQ is SO good it's the biggest reason I can't become vegetarian! Their food makes me happy cry and think of HOME it's so good! It's like angels dancing in my mouth! I literally pray twice before and AFTER I eat it! Once to thank God for the food, then after to thank God for Yummy Yummy and THEIR food! If this review seems excessive, I promise it is not. I'm only sad I can't give 10 stars.

Do they have roast duck noodle soup?

    I believe so.

Is this a hot pot restaurant ? And is this appropriate for a casual date?

It is not a hot pot restaurant but it is perfect for a casual date. I highly recommend the stew beef wonton noodle. Although the portion is smaller than other places, the price is lower.

MingHin was packed, loud, and a little chaotic. Worth it. Dim sum is an experience as much as a meal and MingHin delivers on both fronts. We ordered more than we could keep track of. Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. Our kids loved what they ate but the sensory experience was a bit much for them. This is a place better suited for a group of adventurous adults or older kids who thrive in high energy environments. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. A Chinatown institution for good reason. Just know what you are walking into and embrace it fully.

The food comes out quickly, the atmosphere is lively, and there's plenty of variety for everyone. If you're in the area near Joy Yee, MingHin is definitely worth a visit!

Be prepared to wait a little bit for a table, or share a big one with another party at peak times. Prices are reasonable and portions are pretty generous. ===== Kind of lost count of how many times I've been. Love getting the dim sum and noodle dishes here. Some favorites: beef cheong fun with egg, siu mai, Singapore noodle, xo rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, pork and century egg congee. All the food has been very solid. Inside is always bustling and can be a bit crowded. Service is pretty friendly as far as Chinatown goes, and very efficient. There's a guy who works there who I think is the manager or something, because he puts in 200x effort and is always hustling. When he's not around it feels like something is missing. Prices are very reasonable and we like ordering a lot here so that we have tasty leftovers for later. This place has quite a few big tables and is good for large groups. My only nits are that very occasionally a dish or teacup will have a dirty spot, and that the bubble tea here is kind of meh. I don't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was a little watery and lacking in flavor. It's also probably tough since they're boxed in by boba places now. Pro tip: When you first get your table, they'll ask you what kind of tea you want. If you ignore them or don't know how to answer, the default is green tea. Another one is to come at off-peak times. Not only will you get a table faster, but I think they tweak their portion sizes depending on how crowded it is. Definitely will be back! And I recommend you visit too

Communication was a challenge since very little English was spoken, and the descriptions of the dishes were lacking. I don't enjoy gambling on menu titles that sound good but end up being something completely different from what you expect. Some of the more familiar dishes were solid. The Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef were both pretty good and tasted like what you'd expect from most Chinese restaurants. Other dishes were much harder to understand, even after asking questions about how they were prepared or whether they were sweet or savory. We ordered the Sauteed Chicken in Hot Spicy Sauce Rice, which turned out to be very heavy on Sichuan peppercorns with a strong floral aftertaste. The chicken sat on a bed of what looked and tasted like deep-fried kale, and despite the word "rice" in the name, there was no rice in the dish at all. That's one item we won't be ordering again. We also tried the Fish Filet with Hot and Sour Lime Sauce. It was basically a sweet-and-sour style fish dish. It wasn't bad, but it leaned much sweeter than expected. Another thing to note: none of the dishes come with white rice--it's completely à la carte. We only found that out after ordering. With prices being what they are these days, it would be nice if they included at least some white rice like most Chinese restaurants do. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, but the lack of clear descriptions and communication made the experience frustrating. I prefer restaurants where expectations are clear rather than discovering surprises after the food arrives.
