Hello Nori is my good to when visiting Vancouver!! I have never had a bad experience and the food is always brought out promptly and fresh. It's an unassuming store front but once I side you are greeted by the hostess or one of the chefs behind the sushi counter. You will be seated at the sushi counter (all seats are at the sushi counter at this location). The menu is minimal yet consistent. The Salmon oshi is my go to. I do t do raw fish and it's seared and the avocado hand roll. Never disappoints. Hello Nori is Michelin Guide worthy in my opinion and I have nominated them!! Also I recommend their mocktails. The lychee is 10/10

Nicely decorated minimalistic design. Price point is ok for the area. Hand roll and fish are fresh. But literally the fish and seaweed wrapped around rice. No frills hand roll. The aburi oishi is good and the cocktails looked yummy. Easy place to drop in grab food quick and go about your way

Hello Nori was our last lunch before checking out and heading to the airport, and it was such a solid way to end the trip. We picked up the 16-piece Premium Cut Rolls (toro, yellowtail, scallop, and truffle lobster), and the quality really showed in the taste. Everything was clean, fresh, and well-balanced -- no heavy sauces, no distractions, just really good fish. The toro was rich and smooth, the scallop was buttery, and the truffle lobster added a nice depth without overpowering the roll. Pickup was quick and seamless, and the food was packaged well for eating on the go before a flight. Portions are standard, but the flavor and quality are absolutely the highlight here. If you care more about how sushi tastes than flashy extras, Hello Nori is a great choice. Would happily come back next time.

This is a good spot to grab a bite and take a break from shopping on Robson. It's very spacious inside with modern aesthetics and the hostess was welcoming. Every guest is seated around the bar where they can watch the rolls being made fresh. Upon being seated you place your order by marking a piece of paper. We started off with cocktails: kaiju en neguroni and peach pafekuto and they were both refreshing. We each ordered a few rolls and my fave is the unagi hand roll. The unagi was flame-torched right in front of me. Prices are on the expensive side with small portions, but everything tasted fresh.

I didn't get many pictures since we got hand rolls most of them look similar. The food is excellent. They make everything to order so it's fresh and perfect. The nitro matcha was incredible too. The service was smooth and accessible. You sit at the sushi bar and different people serve you based on timing. We'd never been to a sushi bar quite like this one. It definitely has authentic vibes in that you're sat around the kitchen so to speak where everyone's hand rolls and or sashimi were being prepared. It made for a unique experience for a fairly quick and delicious bite. It was super busy and stayed that way so I highly recommend making reservations.

This is an expensive place. They charge for miso soup and have small portions. Happy hour has zero food on the menu which is unfortunate as had i known, i would have gone elsewhere.. Food comes out fast. The spicy shrimp was not spicy. The standout is the salmon oshi, which melts in your mouth. They do have very good service. They explain everything and bring water right away. I felt bad for the staff because the setup is not conducive to them serving people with liquids. Also, I would have preferred to control how much soy sauce mixed with my wasabi rather than the other way around. There was a good pour on the sake although it seems like a lot is wasted with the overpour? It's a very hipster interior with bar seating only. I was literally the only person here for an hour. Music is very chill.

LOVE! Cool concept with the single bar style table for the whole restaurant. I recommend the salmon oshi, and lychee berry cocktail boozy style. Hand rolls are all great, service is super fast and you get to watch your rolls being made right infront of you. A must visit spot for me every time i'm in Vancouver.

Hello Nori is such a good vibe, an excellent addition for busy downtown workers - we haven't had any specialty hand roll places so this restaurant concept is super cool and interactive. You sit at the counter and get hand rolls made fresh, one by one, right in front of you. Honestly kind of addicting watching them build each one so cleanly. The quality is great and you can really taste the difference in the sushi quality, it's actually really decent, The set menus are solid and actually filling, and the price point is totally fair for what you get. Great spot if you want something quick-ish, elevated, and a little different from your usual sushi dinner. Definitely a go-to for me when I want to feel a little fancy but still keep it casual.

Delicious hand rolls hand made one by one. Happy hour with some discounts late at night. Got the 6 roll combo and was delicious. My favorites are salmon and scallop. I guess I like things simple. Service was excellent and attentive. Ambiance- bar seating with soft music but lively evening crowd having some drinks. Nothing else really open in the area so nice to have a late night option.

My favorite meal I had on my Vancouver trip! Great service and I loved watching my hand rolls prepared in front of me. You order by using a pencil they give you to select which hand rolls you want. They also have a series of special rolls for what is the day I believe. The fish tasted so fresh and the balance of the warm rice and nori. It wasn't the best quality but it was reasonably-priced and filled me up. My favorites were the Lobster roll and the Sea bream. It was great--I wanted to eat quickly so I could go to work and the faster I ate each roll when it came out, the faster the next one came to me.

This is a must go place if you like sushi. Reasonably affordable food for CRAZY quality. Highly recommend. My friend and I went on a weekday night and it was not busy at all with no wait. It's a cute little U shaped table with the chefs serving it to you omakase style if you get the nori set. HIGHLY recommend the nori set could not emphasize the need to go to this restaurant enough it's my fav of my visit.

Really neat hand roll sushi bar. First of all the decor and service is amazing. There is a really neat wooden cube in front and the ceiling is super unique - hard to describe but unforgettable. The wait staff is really good at describing the menu and the place settings are done well and well thought out. The menu has different sets of hand rolls and also sashimi and individual hand rolls to order. I had a sashimi set which was excellent - included king wild salmon and another kind of salmon, hamachi and tuna. The hand roll was very well done and presented well too. Would definitely come back. Great place to take anyone. A unique experience.

We stopped by for a snack due to the high reviews, but were sorely disappointed with the quality of the sushi and rolls. It's easy to see the appeal of this type of restaurant, but if you are looking for quality fish and rolls, this is not the place. Both the salmon and tuna rolls we ordered didn't taste the freshest. Have definitely tasted way better sauces on unagi. Bottom line, if you are looking for an experience, give this place a try. But if you're looking for quality sushi skip.

Since downtown Vancouver is a busy city but has a fairly good public transit system, we took the sky train to this popular coffee shop. After I asked a question to the friendly staff, I ordered and received my order number. Thank goodness the suite next door offered tables and seating because it would have been quite a balancing act to enjoy a four espresso tasting without a table. The barista noticed my disappointment when he told me that they only have two espresso varieties for my four taster flight and he offered to add milk to two of them so I can taste the pure shots and mini cappuccinos. This was a thoughtful gesture! One of my daughter's ordered a latte and lemon cream bakery good. I tasted the Monogram Calgary a Colombia/Guatemala blend and Dak Amsterdam from Ethiopia. I tasted a bit of rose and mango in the Monogram like they said but the lemon meringue was absent. I got the fruit and berry hints after having the Dak Amsterdam but little white chocolate. Both blends were very STRONG and I preferred them with a little steamed milk, which softened the intensity without taking away the flavor. A very nice coffee tasting experience for just $10 CAD.

Seating is plentiful on the order and pick up side, though cramped, and a larger space is available on the other side. I had my usual, an iced latte, here, and it was tasty and strong. The banana bread was also pretty good! Wi-Fi was not easy to find (if available) but since I wasn't staying too long, I hadn't asked. Overall, this is more of a cramped than cozy space and is fairly busy. Every inch is most definitely used, so it may feel a bit claustrophobic - otherwise an excellent cafe!
