Okay, wow, so surprised to see such a low rating for this location! My fiance and I got my engagement ring here. I had looked pretty much all over the place and just glancing in here, I found the one I wanted. I was dead set on it. No matter how many times my fiance was like, "You're positive? You sure? Don't want to look anymore?" I couldn't be swayed. From day one, we had excellent customer service. I feel TERRIBLE for not remembering her name, but the black woman that is probably in her 40s/50s, was the one that helped us the whole time and the one we ended up buying from as well. She was SO personable and so patient with us. We came in probably three separate times to see the ring, try it on, and also my fiance looked at a bunch of their rings, too, and she was so cool with us coming to try things on and look around each time before we finally pulled the trigger. When we first bought the ring I wanted to wear it for a few days despite it being a tad too big. They were nice enough to put a guard on to temporarily size it for me. When I was ready to bring it in and send it off to get sized, they told me the date it would be back in. To the day, that's when it got back in and I was able to pick it up. I have never felt more disrespect from a jeweler than I did when I was in this Helzberg Diamonds. Upon first entry to the store the staff was stand-offish and I'll-mannered. We were not greeted with polite associated ready to help but instead given side eyes and off putting looks. When someone did get around to assisting, they were very rude in demeanor. They were not willing to work with my idea on what I wanted to do with my already purchased Helzberg Diamonds ring, nor did they offer any suggestions. Instead they insisted what I wanted to do was going to be "too expensive" over and over again, with no regard to my financial status. When I referenced my own ring, and wanting a material similar, the man said my ring was sterling silver in a very judgmental tone. I then assured him it wasn't and he took it under the light and corrected himself by saying "you are right, it's white gold, I just can't tell what karat because it's been worn off". I reminded him that my ring was from Helzberg and should be in their system. He then rolled his eyes and said he'd be able to look it up but by then I was already fed up with the hostile environment and impolite associates to continue doing my business at this location. Long overdue review but here is why I am giving this Helzberg 2 stars. We sent in my fiance's ring to be resized and to add a bigger solitaire to the existing ring. It took a whole 4 weeks of waiting AFTER the promised date (10-14 days), did we finally got the ring back. I had to make multiple phone calls to get an update on the ring in that waiting period. No apologies were made and they simply put the blame on the ring adjuster. Once we got the ring back, we noticed the lettering of the engraving on the inside of the ring was uneven and slanted, seems to be rushed work or he simply did not take pride in what he does. Will definitely think twice before I make a purchase or get work done here next time. read more

I don't even know where to start with this because it was beyond bad. We go in, nobody greets us. A friend finally flagged a salesperson down and tells her we are looking at engagement rings. She looks at us and says "Well obviously you are making a wishlist because you are not buying your own engagement ring". Kind of funny, I guess. The selection is small and at this point the soon to be fiance knows what she wants. We describe and they try their best to find a setting that fits but since the selection is so small, it was minimal. They switched salespeople on us, didn't tell us why or anything. Literally in the middle of looking at rings they switched. The only saving grace is that they do have a method of creating a wishlist, they have a paper list that they can write down the rings. But at this point, none of the ladies have asked us what the budget is or anything else - seems like they are not really trying. One of the ladies went on and on about Zac Posen. Honestly, yes we know who he is but is that a decision maker on her engagement ring, not really. At this point, I tried to not roll my eyes and we got the heck out of there. SHOP HELZBERG IN SOUTHCENTER After learning (five minutes in...) that I was apparently invisible at the Southcenter Ben Bridge Jewelers by Nordstrom's, I meandered into Helzberg's down the way. My goal was to find a cool, "right-hand" ring for myself for my birthday. I had looked on-line and just hadn't found anything that I really liked for the price point I wanted to spend (less than $5k). Karen, at Helzberg, was busy when I walked in. BUT she took a half a second to acknowledge I was there! That really is more important than some salespeople seem to understand. Here's what I love: o Gorgeous jewelry at fair prices o Knowledgeable staff o Great lighting so I can actually see the piece I am interested in o NOT PUSHY! I will never do business with this company again! I bought many pieces from this Tukwila store and each time purchased a protection plan. One of the pieces was a 24" white gold chain it was getting kinked up and had strength out so I took it in, the store manager would not replace it but said the kinks could be taken out by some machine and was going to shorten it back to 24". It was promised by 12/1, the date had come and gone, I called the first associate said she didn't see it and to call back next day so I did the manager said it had just come in, came in next day the necklace looked the same and the manager look at me and said "I used my own fingers to get the kinks out" and it was still the same length!! So we made 2 purchases. A wedding ring set and a watch. Customer service was beyond bad. We never got a box for the wedding set, just small clear plastic Ziploc like bag. We had to get the watch resized and that was the majority of the bad experience. They had to send the watch away but never communicated any of the information to us. Blamed the whole situation on us. I had a horrifying experience here the other day. I would put it in the top 10 worst customer service experiences ever. I came in to get my engagement ring resized, inspected, and repaired. I told the woman who came out what I needed and she proceeded to type something in the computer. She told me that my due date was 2/28. Being that in my world, when someone tells me that I have a due date, to me I believe that some action needs to be taken on my part. I asked this woman what she meant by that term and that's when things went left. She looked and me and asked me if I've ever heard of "due date." She just gave me this look of disgust and refused to explain what she meant. It was a very bizarre and awkward experience. I would not recommend this store as you might encounter this crazy person. Definitely the friendliest non-pressure sales tactic when diamond shopping. If you've ever had any questions on the difference between a VVS1 and a VS2 versus a G and a K, these guys will definitely put their money where their mouths are and show you under the microscope the inclusions in the different ratings. They are first class all the way but since it was my first stop, I wanted to price shop. They were not the cheapest but they do have this lifetime guarantee if you bring it back for periodic cleaning & adjusting! Bottom line - come here to learn everything you need to know then after shopping around, see if their price is comparable but do remember good customer service should be accounted for in their price.... My boyfriend that I was dating at Christmas time 2017 didn't get the hint when I said I wanted silver hoop earrings or the earrings that I pointed out to him at Swarovski. Apparently there were no silver hoop earrings in all of Southcenter Mall when he went shopping for my gift on Christmas Eve. Lol He went to Helzberg Diamonds and picked out earrings he thought I would like. As per usual, since he is a man, he was wrong. I took the earrings back recently (since we are no longer dating) hoping to find silver hoop earrings and was helped by Karen. While I was unable to find exactly what I wanted since I am a woman and nothing is ever good enough, Lol at least the customer service provided by Karen was stellar. Thank you, Karen! When I get a good man in my life again, I will send him to Helzberg and hopefully you will text him reminders and pictures of what I want. ;) read more

Very disappointing experience! We tried to get information about the current store coupon that was being offered and when we attempted to get more clarification the store manager accusedgus of "busting her chops". She state she was in no mood for questions since she had be working 15 hour days over the Holiday's. She needs some serious customer service training! The only reason they got a 2 star was because of how the sales reps stepped in to try to salvage our experience. read more

If your shopping for a wedding/engagement ring, think twice!!! We had my engagement ring custom made with them. The manager was really rude and condescending during a majority of the time, I literally left crying a few times. They made the entire process 3 months longer than what it should have been. They did an okay job on the ring, I asked for milgrain around my ring and it's literally invisible. I asked them to re-do the milgrain because it seems to diminish with each cleaning and the manager told me it's impossible, they'd have to create a whole new mold. I asked other jewelers and they told me milgrain has nothing to do with the mold and is done after the ring comes out of the mold. This past year they've also managed to switch out my wedding band with a strangers band TWICE. They assured me it rarely happens and they take photos. Those photos are really bad black and white quality. The first time they lost my band i argued with the manager for an hour before she realized it really wasn't my band. They told me to come back two weeks later because it was still at the shop and they tried to give me the same style band with GRAY diamonds. I told them there was no way I would buy such ugly diamonds and told them they needed to fix the issue. Finally a month later I had my band back only to have them mix it up again with the next cleaning. TERRIBLE!!!! I fear every time I want my rings cleaned and customer service is awful! Oh by the way Helzberg, I'm still waiting for you guys to re-do the milgrain on my ring for FREE for all that you put us through!!! read more

My experience with this store's staff was very disappointing. My fiance purchased my ring here with the lifetime care plan, thankfully. I had the ring resized, which I had no issue with, but about 4 months into me having my ring, I noticed that my diamond was coming loose and was crooked in the setting. I immediately took it into the store to have this issue resolved and they took it, had it for a week, and when I went to pick it up it seemed that the only thing they did to the ring was clean it. The diamond was still crooked and even more loose than when I brought it in. When I asked the employee what was done her reply was "I am not the one that fixed it so I do not know". Before bringing the ring back again the next day, I first went to to another jeweler to get their opinion and was told that there were many options for ways to ensure that my diamond would not come loose again. However, when I returned to Helzberg, their manager informed me that there is nothing that can be done to improve the issue and that it was just because I use gloves at work that is causing it to come loose. She also threw in a comment saying that I was having this issue because my fiance "went with the cheaper option" which he did not and in fact went with a recommendation BY HER, to take the diamond out of the normal band and but it in a band with diamonds on it. Finally, after being told that my ring would forever have this issue, I had to push her to find a solution, which was to try a different band. Upon her examining the ring she returns to tell me there is a crack in my diamond that is causing the issue, which is very surprising to my as I got my ring back FROM THEM the day before, and was not told of there being any issues with the ring, and I definitely didn't do anything that night to crack a diamond. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because they finally resolved the issue and my ring is now fixed, after me having to go into the store 4 times for this issue and receiving very little help from the staff. I have to return every 6 months to have my ring check to keep up my warrantee, and I will dread having to do this every time, and am even considering going to another location just so I don't have to deal with these employees anymore. I am not one to write negative reviews, however I am very disappointment with their performance, especially as I am a bride trying to ensure there is no issues with my ring before my wedding in less than 2 months. read more

This is the second time I had my $5,000 ring sent off for warranty work and they don't call you back . The first time they said I have the wrong number , even though they save it in computer and the second time it was there for over 20 days and they said my voicemail box wasn't set up or Mabye my phone was disconnected . We asked the sales representative Michelle how much it would cost to resize my ring, she gave us the price and also told us they can redip the ring. She also showed us a wedding band that would match, she didn't pressure us to buy it but because it paired up so well we ended up buying it.
