My husband and I have been fans of Misti Norris since the Petra and the Beast days and we also really loved the Saint Valentine food experience we had last year, so when my out of town friend was coming into town for a Tuesday hockey game, we had to come and get, among other things, the pig tails. Unfortunately this particular night that dish was really tough and stringy, not like the pig tails we used to order at Petra; I figure it was maybe an off night because the other dishes we tried were quite excellent. We particularly enjoyed the white bean dip, the sweet potato textures, and the leek cauliflower gratin. The drinks we got at the bar were also great! Definitely want to come back here with my husband and see if the pigtails are more tender + try some of the other things on the menu.

Incredible venue, both inside and out. Great spot to come hangout with friends and enjoy the weather over some drinks, especially on a night with live music! The menu is short and sweet, with great service and recommendations from the staff.

On my last trip to Dallas, my friend made reservations at this amazing restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated at a cozy booth (five stars for that alone). Our server came by right away and offered to answer any questions about the menu. We ordered some delicious cocktails, and they were spot-on. The food arrived promptly. The dishes are on the smaller side (tapas-style), so we ordered three plates and one dessert to share between the two of us. We tried items No. 1, 6, 9, and 11, they were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef and to the bar manager, Drew, for making the most amazing margaritas I've had in the past year. If you're in the area, this place is a must try!

Finally got to try the food here and it was amazing! The duck confit salad, white bean dip and the steak were so good. I'll be dreaming about that white bean dip forever. They have a great soundtrack too. Very much a vibe.

Live music Thursdays out in the beautiful patio.

Wow, this place is in a random spot but the vibes are great. The setting is so well done and the service is great. The food though, that was gorgeous. I wasn't even hungry when I till got there but still ordered some tasty bites. I let the bartender make my drink selections and that was a good experience for sure.

Unfortunately the food did not "wow" me or my friend. Yes, the ingredients were fresh but that is about it. We ordered the entire menu minus the 2 chicken dinners. The menu is seasonal so we did not get a chance to taste the pasta. It seemed as if a lot of dishes were heavy cream based. Plus, I like a bit more flavor. I probably enjoyed the fried pig ear dish the most. My fish did enjoy the steak dish. The service was meh. We asked for the plates to be timed and they kept all coming at once. It was like they wanted to rush us out of the place. We had to say more than once to slow down and not bring 3 dishes at a time. Then we asked for the last dish and waiter asked if we still wanted it. Just strange Now the decor was very nice. It is relaxed and desert feel.

One regret. Not coming sooner. Came in with a friend and had such an amazing experience. Care was taken with allergies. The duck salad took my breath away. Multiple people checked in with service. Hope to see more great things

The vibe of this place is phenomenal! It reminds me of Austin with the classy, outdoorsy ambiance. The food + drinks were great. I like that it's a seasonal local menu however the prices were a bit much. The other con was that the tables are spaced very close together to other customers so everyone could easily hear the conversations around them. Overall: Great service, ambiance, + food but on the pricier side and close quarters

I love the unique bunker structure and tranquil design of this incredibly delicious restaurant. If you're looking for something different and adventurous and, most importantly, guaranteed delectabilty, Far-Out will take care of you with every dish and every drink. The menu changes frequently so I cannot recommend a specific dish. I can only assure you that no matter what you order it is a guaranteed OMG reaction.

Feels like you're stepping right into Terlingua. There's ample outdoor seating with some tables and a bar inside. All the food and drinks we had were so good, I was a little surprised. The white bolognese is honestly to die for.

We enjoyed a truly delightful evening at Far Out in Dallas. Each course was wonderful, starting with the roasted garlic white bean dip with chili oil, followed by the lemongrass duck confit salad and the crispy chili and pecan rubbed heritage chicken. The flavors were perfectly balanced and so thoughtfully done. For dessert, the olive oil cake was light, subtle, and just right. The space has a beautiful, artful feel, and the owner is such a warm and gracious host who makes you feel right at home. We cannot wait to return.

This place is so cute and the food was amazing. The farm to table experience was really good and the service is exceptional.

Have you also been vaguely depressed since Petra and the Beast closed down? Have no fear for she has risen. And is now the chef at Far Out. Her flavors and fresh ingredients are as good as ever. Menu changes monthly at least, based on best ingredients available. The space is gorgeous, littered with plants and their outdoor space is in its beautiful infancy but it will be an absolute oasis once the climbing plants are all fully grown. Live music Thursday nights. DJ Friday and Saturdays. Service is impeccable. A member of our party can't do dairy or so and our server went through every single item on the menu to say which we could have and which could be modified.

Choosing this place for a Texas summer wedding is practically sabotage, and I'll tell you why. Picture this: the bride, groom, officiant, and wedding party forced to stand directly facing the blazing sun at 5pm (all to get the lake in the background). Guests are sitting in direct sunlight, melting, turning the ceremony into an unbearable endurance test. Everyone spends hours getting ready, wearing designer, only to have your blazer turn into a portable sauna, your undershirt is now marinated in your own sweat, and your deodorant taps out like "I wasn't built for this." If you think alcohol will make this better, think again! You can't of catch a buzz because it's so hot that any alcohol consumed immediately escapes through your pores. If you thought you'll just go inside for relief, you'd be wrong again! Expect the interior temperature of the building only marginally cooler than outside, maybe a toasty 90 degrees. Once the doors mercifully open to the building, there's a mad dash to the smallest bathroom in Texas--three tiny stalls and one pathetic sink to service a crowd of sweaty survivors. Mirror? Vanity space? Not here. Prepare to freshen up makeup elbow-to-elbow with strangers, in line, like you're waiting for a ride at Disneyland (minus any of the joy). After exiting the bathroom you'll see the long, hallway-like layout. This narrow layout ensures that anyone seated towards the back misses everything happening on the stage. Guests were left shouting conversations over deafening acoustics and cheap concrete flooring. The cramped table arrangement created constant traffic jams and awkward, uncomfortable pathways just to move around. Outside was equally dreadful. The ceremony area was poorly designed, with an embarrassingly short aisle that robbed the bride of a proper procession. Photography conditions were awful, marred by either glaring sunlight or the shadow of the building (no sunset views). The spider-webbed oak trees added to the unkempt appearance, signaling neglect and lack of care. Parking was another disaster, forcing guests to navigate through a rough, unpaved secondary lot, making an already unpleasant experience even worse. Finally, if you were hoping for some redeeming aesthetic charm, sorry. You'll find none in this ugly orange-brick box inconveniently located far from any decent bars or entertainment. Brides, unless your dress code includes swimsuits and flip-flops, pick literally anywhere else for your summer or early fall wedding. The Filter Building has successfully filtered out comfort, logic, and fun.

We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width.
