Dawn at the front desk checked me in and out and set up my next appointment and checked my insurance to explain what they covered, she was very thorough, professional and did it all with a Smile, you could tell she is very experienced and good at her job. The hygienist Jessica was great, she gave me a lot of time answering all my questions and explained what i needed in detail. She was Awesome!! Last but not least Dr. Zena was also great, he also talked to me and gave me time instead of rushing me out, I really appreciate that as it seems most places do that, your just a number, but at Babylon Smiles your much more than that, they really care about their patients and it shows in the great staff. Run…read moreaway...fast! my 81 year old mother who only has EDP which is a discount dental card, has been going here for several years, but never really needed anything done except cleanings/xrays. a few weeks ago we go for her cleaning, they tell her she has severe decay, needs to break off her "4-tooth" bridge, just to see if they can save the two anchor teeth, THEN will need to have a new bridge done once they "see" what happens with her two anchor teeth. and she may need to go elsewhere for a root canal. So luckily i mention it to my brother whose dentist is awesome and professional. he takes mom there, pays out of pocket and dentist tells us "nothing wrong with her bridge/anchor teeth etc....she needs a really deep and thorough cleaning and has a cavity to be filled. they are taking care of it tomorrow....AND my mother just had a cleaning from Goldbergs office two weeks ago! so Goldberg did nothing but take moms money, then trying to charge her $2500 for a new bridge and teeth pull....she didnt need and never mentioned the cavity. no worries, i am not taking her back there, we will travel out east to Manorville to the new dentist and pay out of pocket for her. Unbelievable!!! side note, office staff not good either, a little snippy and they never answer, you are always leaving messages!

During my appointment, the dentist told me I needed multiple extractions and dental implants. After I explained that I have Healthfirst Medicaid and that its implant coverage policies had changed, she told me she doesn't bother submitting approval requests because it's "pointless" and suggested I go to a dental school if I wanted a more affordable option. I left the appointment without a treatment plan or a clear explanation of the condition of my teeth. Later that same day, I requested both my X-rays and treatment plan by phone and email. I was told their system was down, yet my X-rays were emailed to me shortly afterward. The treatment plan, however, was never provided. When I followed up again, I was told a treatment plan didn't exist. During that same conversation, I was also told it had already been submitted to my insurance for approval. Those statements directly contradicted one another. I was then offered only a list of tooth numbers that supposedly needed fillings, even though fillings had never been discussed during my appointment. The only treatment the dentist discussed with me was multiple extractions and implants. It's important to note that my broken tooth was never treated. Once I began questioning these inconsistencies, communication stopped. My calls went unanswered, I never received the treatment plan I repeatedly requested, and no one ever explained the contradictory information I had been given. The lack of transparency, inconsistent information, and failure to provide the treatment plan I repeatedly requested left me questioning the credibility of the treatment recommendations I received. If you are told you need extensive dental work at this office, I strongly encourage you to get an independent second opinion before moving forward.

It is very obvious that great lengths are taken to maintain an environment like this. Literally, the building is immaculate (see pictures). So far I've counted at least 7 dental assistants and they all seem to be busy with patients. They are extremely organized and it seems like everyone here is happy. As I write this review on my smartphone, Dr. Vitagliano is walking around right now looking as sharp as mr. Clean, making sure that everything is running smoothly. I'm only 25 years old but when I have kids, I know where I'm taking them. Looking over into the corner, I see that they even use an autoclave machine. Now, I only know what that is because I do biology research, and we use it to sterilize equipment before running experiments. So let me tell you, seeing that they sterilize their equipment with research grade hardware is a very very good sign. They also have a shark tank Now I want to get my teeth done here :(
