Solid 4 stars. We went here on a Sunday. Got there around 1:30 to find them closed (they open at 3:00). Came back later in the day. It is really clean looking, but when we walked in, we were hit with the smell of disenfectent cleaners (I get it). Luckily, the front door stayed open and it seemed to clear out. Bartender was efficient and friendly. We had a beer and a well drink for a total of $8.69. Can't beat that! read more

First time in Louisville and a friend took me to Henry's. I wish there was a place like this closer to my home. The bar is updated and very well maintained. They get a good crowd during the late night and amazing bar staff. Went here to watch some games and enjoyed game and ended up having a few shots with the bartender. This is your quintessential neighborhood dive bar: pool tables, multiple TVs, music, and friendly service. The family who owns the place now (last year or so) works there, so they know what's going on, and they know their customers by name, even the relatively new ones become family quickly. Tuesday is karaoke night and they have a great KJ and a decent sound system and the crowd is enthusiastic and encouraging to everyone. This is a beer and shots place so don't order something frothy or blended - they will not have it - but they will make you anything they have the ingredients for, and they have a solid pour when they do. Their kitchen is closed as of the date of this review, but it was good and I hope it will reopen soon. Kylie, the bartender I know best, is delightful. She knew my name and drink order by about the third time I came and is consistently patient and gracious and smiling (they don't call her smiley-kylie for nothing). I was in Louisville, Colorado, waiting for my mom while she attended a play at the Community Theater featuring my nephew as one of the actors! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a ticket for myself, so I set out to find a spot to hang out and watch the game. Despite the abundance of breweries in the area, none had the game on, and they all seemed a bit too stuffy for my taste. That's when I stumbled upon Henry's Bar--a perfect find! Not only did they have the game, but they were also showing the AVS and UFC on different TVs. The place had pool tables, darts, beer on tap, and a variety of drink and shot specials. Definitely my kind of place! The music stood out as well--classic hits from the '90s and 2000s, none of the new junk. The crowd was a great mix of cool Colorado people, ranging from their twenties to forties, all adding to the laid-back but cool vibe. Now, what pairs best with cold beer and sports on TV? Wings! I had been craving them all week, and this was finally my chance to indulge. I ordered 10 wings, choosing Original and Teriyaki flavors. OMG--were these the best wings in town? Maybe I was just starving, but they were incredible! To be sure, I went for a second round, this time with Lemon Pepper and Jerk flavors. Even though I wasn't as hungry, they were just as amazing! Turns out, the guy who made and delivered them was a former chef and a BBQ aficionado, no wonder they were sooo good! What a great find when driving through town. There are plenty of options to find beer in Louisville, but this place as old town charm that was exactly what we were looking for. We grabbed a couple of tap beers and watched the football game. Didn't appear to be any food options other than a bag of chips, which is too bad because places like this usually have killer classic burgers for reasonable prices. read more

Was hopeful when first entering, the bar was clean and had good ambiance. Put in an order for food which took forever to come out (nearly an hour for chips/salsa and some wings) and they didn't even get the entire food order right. When I went to close out the tab, the receipt was not itemized but came out to roughly what I expected the cost to be. Another person in my party closed their tab a half hour later and that's when we discovered that the receipt I had signed for wasn't even the one with my card, they had been switched at close out. Took another 20 minutes to get that sorted out and now I'm waiting to make sure my card was charged for the proper amount and not the extra 20$ for food that never arrived and a mystery drink that was added. Since the receipts were not itemized I never would have known until I asked for the breakdown when trying to sort everything out. The bar and food were pretty average but the experience was bad enough I won't be going back. read more

Seems to be open again. I had the burger with fries and ice tea which came to $8 so $10 with tip. It was pretty good, garnished with the perfect amount of fresh crispy lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Its an old school dive bar without the Hipsters. I was in there midweek at noon and there were some older gents sipping on beers, they looked like they had been there a while and weren't going anywhere too soon. It was nice and chill inside with only some sports on at a low volume. Owner is Asian so they also serve Chinese or Thai or whatever...didn't look too closley at that part of the menu. read more

I have to say, out of ALL the bars in Louisville...Henry's takes number 1!! It is not anything fancy on the outside nor inside but what makes up for that is the amazing owner, Henry himself. He is very very VERY dedicated to his customers. Treats everyone with respect and always has a good laugh. The prices are awesome....75cent pool/darts/Jukebox (with a surprisingly LOUD sound setup!) Great food as well. This has become my favorite place to go in Louisville! I recommend to anyone to check it out! you will NOT be let down :) read more

A taste of old Louisville, when it's gone you know the town has sold its soul. Gritty, grimy, too bright, too dark, pool and darts and cheap drinks. Best place to end the evening...or to start it off on a Friday. They're always glad you came. It will be a sad day when it's gone. Was a "biker bar" in the 90s and prior but now just friendly locals and Street Faire folks doing shots. Has the only pool table downtown now that the OLI was renovated. Henry is great and he makes solid fried rice for lunch, though I'm not sure he still serves. Guess I'll need to visit for lunch soon and find out. Cheers...! read more

This place is a nice retreat from the fancy bars in Louisville. Cheap draft beer, decent food, and pool tables.

If you get why this place is so great, you don't need an explanation. If you don't, stay the hell out.

Great priced beer and a good environment. Love the wontons as well. Not much into the whole "dive bar" craze but I do enjoy cheep drinks, friendly people, and good service. read more

I just love it here. And I'm from Northern WI where great bars are bred and raised.

This place has all the games you want, pool, darts, everything you wanna play while you're drinking. But the bartender was really surly!

I don't know how but Henry's has become a consistent stop now for me and my fellow coworkers/friends after the really long days... such as Saturday. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you go inside... it still doesn't look like much. All of that aside, once you make your way to the bar and buy everyone's first round and it only costs you 9 bucks? Things are looking up. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not very attentive. Mostly, it seems, because they are chatting up the regulars. I know most of you won't find your way out to Louisville looking for a bar, but if you happen to be on Main St. I would recommend stopping in. read more

Definitely a rundown dive bar, but gotta love the cheap beer, darts, 75 cent pool tables, jukebox, and friendly owner. (particularly since no other downtown L-ville joint has games!) We go to Henry's weekly, and love it! read more
