Awful experience!! This place doesn't even deserve a star!! There was only two girls working on a very busy Saturday night, and I work in the service industry as well so I know how stressful it can be but they way they talked to their customers was very rude and unprofessional.. The bartender which came out to be the manager of the place ripped a receipt out of my hand when I was trying to make a correction on my tab then continued to give me attitude about it. I would strongly suggest not coming to this bar unless you want to be sitting around for 20 minutes waiting on the staff to even acknowledge you. read more

Well, if you live in Lafayette and have any kind of pulse, you're going to end up here eventually. You may as well know what you are getting into. On the plus side, the drinks are cheap. On the down side, you're going to need them. Overall, it seems like it would be a decent sports bar. There are some coin pool tables, some video games, and some T.V.'s However, it's really not a place where I would chill out to watch a game. In the first place, the food kind of sucks. In the second, it's huge, but there's really nowhere you'd like to sit. Bizarre. And thirdly, the crowd is little too trashy. Like if you want to be popular, throw on some old man Old Spice and put some Styx in the jukebox. But like I said, you're going to end up here eventually. So relax, lower your expectations and go! Don't waste your time trying to notice the chicago-dillinger association it's tenuous at best. Show up half drunk, obnoxious, and bring some quarters for the pool tables. Prepare for the hair rock and surly lady bartenders. If you're laid back and roll with it you can have a good time here. Unless by some horrific mistake you go on Karaoke night. On a more serious note, the last couple of times I've been here, I've seen the cops watching and following people out of the parking lot. The biggest thing i miss about living in Lafayette is Dillinger's. It sounds odd looking back at it but i absolutely love this bar. First of all it's super affordable, most bars in boulder county can be pretty expensive but $6 for a pitcher of PBR here is a-ok by me! The rest of the drinks have more standard prices but if you can get down with some PBR then this is the spot! The bar its self is massive, there's so many rooms to it. Last time i was there they closed off one of the rooms and turned it into a more kitchen / dining area, a nice change because before the bar was massive. There also tends to be 'just the right' number of people there. Its never so busy you have to wait forever for a drink or so busy there's no where to sit, which i really like especially when i usually come here with a few friends. Most of the people you find in this bar are people that live and work around Lafayette, and you'll end up seeing many familiar faces the more you go. The best part of the bar is the patio. I quit smoking cigarettes but if i ever make it back here again beleave me I'll start up again that night just for the patio experience. Most conversations I'd have with people i didn't know or just general chaos in general happens on the patio. Its a great spot to hang out and meet new people. On another note, police to like to hang out and pull over people who drive away from here. But if you live in Lafayette odds are you can't be more than a 20 minute walk from here. read more

Slow service, the waitress is pleasant enough, and reported she had surgery recently so tried to blame it on that However it seems she just does too much visiting rather than her job. After we were finally waited on and gave our order it was 20 minutes to get our food a hamburger and fries and a ham omelet... They don't make enough tobasco to make it taste, even with green chili! The hamburger was as dry as sandpaper... Not a place to recommend or go back to for us, thank you very much. read more

Monday night football. When we first walked in, we already received the uncomfortable vibe "we're not welcome" from the stares of the local red neck drunks. We sat ourself on the most uncomfortable chairs from an 80's bar and waited 20 while the only server on duty ignored us, even though the adjacent table had fresh beers. While waiting to get my order from the bar, not our table, that took another ten minutes. Were now in the start of the third quarter. I asked the waitress if she was our sever and replied yes, do you need something, as if first waking in wasn't a sign. We asked for menus to order food. It's now another 15 without ordering. As I sit here, not ordering my food still, I can confidently say that since the service is this bad, matching the terribly decorated restaurant from the leftover Arc store, the food will be as well. I walked out and will never be back. Worst place I've ever been in the whole state of Colorado!!!! read more

Used to hang out at Dillie's for years as it is very close to home.It was more of a biker bar but was remodeled to be more family friendly. Had some great times and made a lot of friends there. That being said, I stopped going in there. The menu was OK at one point and I would head over for lunch fairly often. Things changed, but not for the better. Police regularly park right outside to follow patrons out. The food and service went down, and the clientele has changed considerably. I honestly do not know how they stay open because I rarely see more than eight or ten cars parked in front. read more

This is probably the worst bar in the area in my opinion. The service is horrible, the food is terrible and the bar tenders are some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. You would be better off hanging out at the 7-11 across the street. I've been there twice and both times were horrible experiences. The bartenders hate their jobs and it shows. Stopped by to grab a beer and possibly play some pool on a Friday night. When we walked in I felt like I was in a teenager's basement who was into thrash music. Even though the place was pretty empty we could not get any service at the bar. The only time the bartender looked busy was when he went to turn up the thrash/metal music even louder. The first time at the bar the bartender was talking to her buddies about her cold sores. The second time I went in to order lunch. I sat at a table and asked for a draw of beer, and I sat and I sat and I sat. The bartender took care of anyone who walked up to her face, about 5 people after I ordered. Then she walked by my table to get somebody else's order. When she started mixing someones drink then started pouring someone else's pitcher, I walked out. This is a total dive bar, which if that's what you're looking for than this might not be bad. But it doesn't present itself that way on its website. I admit I came at an odd time, 230pm on a Sunday, but was just looking for some late lunch. I ordered the philly cheesesteak. The meat seemed like that terrible bologna type lunchmeat, super salty, super thin, and barely recognizable as beef. The mushrooms looked old, and only a few peppers and onions, and it seemed like it had been cooked for barely 30 seconds. The hoagie was not toasted or even warm, and in fact stale. The ends were hard. It tasted barely ok, but I ate it b/c I was hungry and just wanted to get on with my day. The fries were okay, but some were still pale and raw. Won't be back. read more

Well, first off, this is a dive-bar. If you understand that going in, then you'll have a better experience then I did. I have nothing against dive-bars. I've actually enjoyed quite a few of them. But Dillinger's didn't seem to have enough staff on hand to attend to all the customers. I spent most of my time there being ignored. Food's barely edible, drinks aren't very strong.
