Worst florists ever. I received absolutely different flowers than my order. Small broken flowers.

They are ridiculously overpriced and their flowers die within one or two days. I'm all for spending on worthy bouquets but $35 for carnations with hydrangeas (which were dead in less than 24 hours) is such a waste of money. There are MUCH better florists in Bay Ridge. read more

Flowers were delivered and had brown edges already. I contacted the florist right away and was told by Nicholas he would speak to the manager and call me back. I called two hours later and spoke with Peter, the owner, who said Nicholas wasn't there and to send pictures. I did and called Peter to confirm and he said there was nothing wrong with the flowers and hung up. I called back and someone else answered and reiterated there was nothing wrong with the flowers, they were busy and also hung up. read more

The most hideous arrangement I have ever laid my eyes on or received. I was in utter shock that a florist would send something not only so aesthetically displeasing but also poorer quality than drug store flowers. I rarely leave reviews but hopefully someone is able to see this before making the mistake of wasting their money with Henry's Florist. read more

The first paragraph is the email I sent to Henry's Florist: My amazing boyfriend wanted to surprise me with a beautiful bouquet of pink roses on Mother's Day.  He was not able to purchase flowers because he had to take care of his elderly, home bound, and bedridden father.  My boyfriend also lost his mother on January 1, 2021.  I have had a really trying year as a mother.  I have a daughter who has Autism and ADHD and was recently diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 1 and she has been struggling with various mental health issues.  My boyfriend and I are both teachers in large Brooklyn high schools.  We usually make referrals and recommendations to our students and colleagues when we receive great products or services. We appreciate small businesses in our borough especially. I received the flowers that my boyfriend lovingly selected for me and they were wilted and looked old and dead.  Enclosed please find the images of the flowers I received.  I know my boyfriend is devastated about these flowers. Please fix this Mother's Day heartbreak as soon as possible. Henry's Florist was extremely rude and yelled at me over the phone after I emailed the photos of these wilted roses. Henry's Florist refused to deliver a new bouquet of actual fresh flowers. Do not order any flowers from Henry's Florist. I urge you to save yourself the heartbreak and expense. I have never received such rude and poor customer service. Sending flowers is such a beautiful, romantic, loving, and thoughtful gesture. Henry's Florist does not seem to understand that concept. I ordered flowers via FTD.com for my wife on Monday to her job (order # FT2321086) with same day delivery selected that includes an outrageous service fee of $22. The florist calls her to say they will not be delivered on time due to traffic, I entered the order prior to 8am, but the florist could not delivery less than 15 miles away in 8 hours? My wife says you can deliver them to an address provided, the florist finally delivered them after 7:30pm to the next door neighbor. Now, after 4 days, $100 roses are dead. Terrible service, terrible product. I reported this contractor to FTD as it is reflects on them just as poorly as Henry's Florist. I posted pictures of these flowers, which are 4 days old and cared for properly. read more

The people working there were very friendly and professional , they put together everything I wanted and more . Ordered a flower + chocolate package for my mother. When she received it, turns out she only got the flowers. I called to ask about why the chocolate wasn't delivered and a very rude man on the phone was saying he messed up an didn't see our order for chocolate but that we "got our money's worth in flowers". I asked him to deliver the chocolate as per our order and he promptly started yelling and hung up on us. To make things even worse, their delivery man had actually demanded my mom for a tip even though I prepaid a tip/delivery fee. This business is a scam. Worst customer service ever read more

Worst florist I've ever dealt with in my life. Ordered through 1800-flowers and what was delivered was 100% wrong. The vase was supposed to be while Lenox; they delivered a purple clear glass vase. The flowers themselves were horrible! Half were dead and the arrangement was not even close to what it was supposed to be color and flower wise. Called the florist directly after 1800-flowers and the woman on the phone was terrible! Rude and said It wasn't her problem...you made them wrong but it's not your problem? Their website is great...very professional and detailed. However, I was very unhappy with this florist when I went in last year for a wedding flower consultation. Because of the great website, I though I would experience the same level of professionalism in store. WRONG. I dont remember the man's name who we met with but he seemed to not want to be there talking to me. He sat us down at a dirty/messy table and told us to wait and look through books....wait we did...for longer than we needed to, we've already gone through all their books of photos and we were ready to talk, especially since I brought my own photos of what I wanted. He finally came over to us, plopped down in his chair rested his head on this hand (the way you do when you're bored in class) and asked me what I wanted. Didn't seem to offer alternatives to flowers that werent available at the time I would be getting married...usually I'd expect them to offer some advice, and anyway, Im sure they could get them shiped from somewhere if I paid for it...didnt offer any options, just said...NO. He talked to me as if he was totally uninterested in my business and the money I would be spending with the company. I walked out of there thinking...how could I trust someone like that with my wedding? I didnt feel like the whole consultation was at all professional and I was worried that that unprofesiionalism would come out again on my wedding day and that's just unnecessary stress when there are plenty of other florists in the neighborhood. On the positive, the prices were decent - but I wasn't willing to take the risk and work with people who didnt care very much about the business we would be doing together. Henry's Florist did my daughters wedding on Saturday, October 13, 2018 and they did an AMAZING job. The church looked fabulous, the bridesmaids bouquets were spectacular and the bride's bouquet was exactly as my daughter wanted it.... dedazzled with roses with Picasso Lilies... it was so beautiful. They made up the table center pieces at El Caribe with alternating High top floral arrangements and low 3 pillar floating candles with purple lilies. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I have never in my life experienced worse customer service. I ordered flowers for my friends birthday. She never received them. When calling the florist they confirmed it was delivered. I asked if they left it with a neighbor, or the store the apartment was above. No. They left it in the hallway they claimed where there was construction going on. The owner then argued with me that he always has his packages left in front of his door. I specifically ordered leaving instructions to call my friend before delivering. They never did and so happened to "deliver" the flowers in the one 2 hour window she wasn't home. After arguing with them for an hour about refunding or redelivering, the owner called the recipient, asked her to check throughout the hallway. when she said it wasnt there and she would ask the construction workers next day (they had already left for the day at this point). Next day she asked and of course nobody saw any flowers. I called the store and the lady answering said she would have the owner call me back. Never did. I called today for a refund. The owner took the phone, argued some more, refused to refund, and claimed my friend was a liar and that she must have received the flowers. I completely lost my cool and went off on him. After he told me he would deliver her new flowers.....still waiting on their arrival. All in all I was charged 65$ on my credit card within minutes of placing the order, however thats where there efficiency ends. They are fast for taking your money, but do not expect any service in return. read more

I had a such a lasting impression with Henry's Florist. I had to make an online order for a rush delivery on an arrangement for my sister's delivery of her baby girl. I could not make it to the hospital in time as I travel allot for business. Got the chance to speak with someone who made sure the flowers got to the correct hospital in the correct room. zero stars!! buyer beware!!! this florist is the worst. my husband bought an over priced orchid for $65 that sells for $19.99 in other stores. within 2 weeks half the plant was dying. with further inspection i noticed the plant had bugs. i immediately brought the plant back. the heavy set guy who worked there sprayed a bug spray on it. and soakked the plant. anyone who knows anything about orchids knows u never water from the top, u soak the roots. duh, ur the florist. i told him i wanted a new plant and he told me i bought the plant "as is". i was in shock. i left with the infested water logged plant. none the less, the plant died dies later. if you want to be overcharged and bring bugs into your home and treated rudely, by all means shop here. read more

Someone thoughtful decided to send me surprise flowers. Unfortunately, they had the wrong address. So I received a phone call from an unknown number asking me if I lived at an address I had never even heard of. I thought it was a scam and they were fishing for my real address, so I ignored the phone call. The next day, the same number calls me EIGHT times in a row. Naturally I was certain they were a scam. They also texted me asking me what my real address was. I was upset and annoyed. Calling someone eight times in a row is absolutely harassment. When I finally found out it was a legit flower delivery, I didn't want this guy coming to my apartment, so I told him to forget about it. He took the joy out of someone else's gift. I will not tell the person who bought the flowers that this happened, as I wouldn't want to disappoint them. The typical protocol for a florist is to call the SENDER when there is a delivery issue. And one should never call eight times in a row under any circumstance. I can't believe a business really did this, and I am leaving a review in the hopes that they will never do this to someone again. read more

I came into the flower shop to order a flower arrangement for a birthday and my experience wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I showed the florist a picture of how I needed the flowers to look and offered to forward him the picture so it looks alike. Meanwhile the florist promised he remembers how it will look and he doesn't need the picture. (He must have really good memory!) We'll if thats what I thought and maybe what you thought.. guess what?! .. we thought wrong! The day the flowers were delivered, I was questioning weather it was the flower arrangement that I had ordered. What I received was nothing like that the picture looked like. Even the vase was different. For the money that I paid, I don't think that 8 cheap looking flowers in a dirty glass vase are acceptable. To make matters worse, the flowers were dead the next morning. Dont Use the Website! I've ordered from here 3 times over the last year or so. Twice I placed an order online and both times the order was not processed. The first time I called a day ahead they were able to "find" the order. This time, I didnt have the time to call to confirm, and again they had no record of the order, despite having a web confirmation from 3 days earlier. I was left scrambling to find a florist near my job on my 5th wedding anniversary. The bouquet I did get in Midtown was beautiful about 50% less expensive than this florist in Bay Ridge. When I called to inquire they said I had agreed to a larger arrangement, which I had not, and that it wasn't their problem. Their only response was that I take it up with my credit card company. I am writing this review as a recipient of flowers. On Friday morning I was delivered a box containing a vase, the color of which was a pretty shade of yellow. I went in to buy a few flowers for my daughter. I told the guy she's 3 and I didn't need anything fancy. After picking 3 daisies (that the price list said were $1.50 each) I was told the cost was $9.75. I didn't want anything but the flowers, no wrapping no baby's breath. While I was there a guy was trying to get flowers for a new mom. He wanted a particular balloon that said "welcome baby boy" but the lady seemed so put off by this customer's request. I used this Florist to deliver a bouquet to my wife on Valentines day ( I'm currently working out of State). The flowers were delivered the day after 2/15/2017. The delivery person was unapologetic and stated that "There were a lot of delivery's for Valentines Day." My wife was VERY upset. I called to speak to the manager who in turn was rude and very loud with me. He told me that I had provided the wrong address and phone number. He also said that they tried to deliver the flowers but "NO ONE WAS HOME." This is pure BS as my wife is at the residence 24 hours a days as she is in NY; to help out with a sick family member. I've used this florist several times for my husband's grandmother in Brooklyn. Every time she receives flowers from there, she calls and gushes that they are the most beautiful flowers she's ever seen. Peter is the florist I ask for. On the other hand (and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars) is the fact that they are not very friendly. Maybe it's a NY thing, but to me they are borderline rude. I wanted to share my comments pertaining to Henry's Florist in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. I have known this florist shop since I was a child. Peter from Henry's Florist provided the flowers for my brother's wedding; when it came to my wedding, he was the only man I trusted to do a phenomenal job - he exceeded my expectations. When I went to visit him, he said how he knew my father; since my father passed away, I wanted to honor him by incorporating his infamous favorite color blue in our wedding. Peter did such an amazing job; when my husband and I previewed our reception hall before guests were allowed to enter, I was so surprised how beautiful the flowers were and touched how he incorporated the color blue. He took white roses and white hydrangeas, placed them above a clear vase with blue water and a blue light in the vase - it was stunning. My bouquet I loved so much, I didn't want to part with it; he took white roses and on top had blue crystals intertwined with a white ribbon covering the stems. The bridesmaid bouquets were full, vibrant perfect for our fall wedding; the bottom of the stems were covered with blue ribbon - it was beautiful. He is reasonable with his pricing and is an expert with flower décor - if you want a reliable, responsible vendor that exceeds your expectations, Henry's Florist is the one to hire! read more

While I am always one for supporting the local businesses I do have to say that this florist is over priced for the subpar quality of the flowers. My husband ordered a large bouquet for my birthday spent over $150 and the flowers were wilting the very next day. I've purchased other cut flowers, wreaths etc and the prices have been comparable to what I pay in the city and never last nearly as long. I live so close and really love to support but in the end I'm always left a little dissatisfied. read more

Oh such friendly people. They made me and my prom dates Prom wonderful. The corsage and bountonierre were absolutely stunning and so reasonable in price. The florist splashed some glitter on the corsage which most girls did not have, which made My prom dates extremely special. It lasted all night on the wrist and EVEN was alive for the next 3 days. One star is too much for the horrible experience I went throught with this rude, abusive facility that knows nothing about customer service! Months before a family occasion (a confirmation), I stopped by with my child to get some ideas for decorating the church. An indifferent young man told us churches do that kind of thing-he had no ideas, no suggestions, and no interest in getting our business. (For your information, it is a small congregation in Manhattan that does not do massive group ceremonies and lets families take care of such details as flowers arrangements.) Since good flower shops are scarce in my Bay Ridge neighborhood, I did return and should have known better. The nasty owner was more interested in kicking us out by closing time than being service oriented, helpful, and courteous. Out of the four items I ordered only one came out the way it should have: a boutonnier. The corsage flowers looked brownish by the end of the day. Henry's almost messed up flowers for bud vases by reversing their colors and caught it at the last minute. The shock was the the bouguet I had described in detail to the owner.The "presentation bouquet" was so heavy and spread out that a grown woman could not have held it for more than five minutes let alone my slender, petite fourteer-year-old. The color of the bow was wrong and that of the second type of roses debatable. The night before our occasion, we ended up trimming and rearranging the bouquet to make it manageable to carry around. When I called to complain, another shock struck me. I was calm and polite and expected some of kind of an apology and a gesture of goodwill. However, almost immediately the owner started to yell and stated that I had "made him angry" and "insulted him." My family members who listened to him on the speaker phone could not believe their ears. Isn't it usually the irate customer who yells out of control rather than the vendor? Having paid good money for my merchandize, I told him not to raise his voice at me and terminated the call. In summary, this place has no imagination, cannot think out of the box, and seems to have unprofessional staff as well as a psychotic sounding owner. read more
