The lady on the phone said that no appointment was needed-just stop by during the business hours and I could get that taken care of. True to her word, I walked in and was immediately greeted and my nervous pup (he's always nervous) was taken back to have his nails cut. I was able to see him on the end table with a groomer who was talking sweetly and calmly to him while getting the job done. A few minutes later, we were on our way. While I waited, I also saw a section of the store that allows you to come in and wash your pet yourself. It looked like a coin-operated machine that you'd use. This is a great idea-for those of us that want to do it ourselves but may not have the right setup at home. I'm making a note to myself to come back and try that out when my stinker rolls around in the dirt just a little too much.

I assumed that was normal and that's what I expected when I dropped my dog off for his 2:00 appointment. So when I received a text less than two hours later that he was ready, I thought they must have made a mistake. Maybe trimmed him up, but didn't bathe him? Or maybe he was such a jerk that they gave up and wanted me to come get him before he was finished. But when I arrived, I saw a fluffy, fresh pup that smelled amazing. He was taken great care of and didn't look traumatized and exhausted from a half-day event at the groomers. Sarah did an outstanding job! My dog can be a handful-he's afraid of literally everything and isn't a fan of being groomed. But she said he was a champ. I think she just knows what she's doing and is so good with dogs that she put him at ease. We will be back!

We take all 3 of our dogs to this vet. We inquired about neutering our puppy and they scheduled an…read moreappt for bloodwork and exam. At the end of that appt they charged us $322 and told us it would be another $665 at the time of neuter. That is ridiculous they don't give a fee estimate up front. I was able to call Stone Ridge Veterinary clinic and they quoted MUCH less and they were able to quote an estimate BEFORE making me pay a dime. I realize the cost might change a little after they see him, but I doubt it will be over $900. They did allow us to cancel the bloodwork but we still had to pay $68 for an "exam" to be told the total neuter package would be over $900. Bad business and we told them we would be taking all our dogs to a different vet. They were indifferent.

They then brought a dog out and said "here he is." It was NOT our dog. We finally get him back and his face did not look like it was cut at all, even though we told him to do his face very short. Their prices are very reasonable for a full trim, bath, nails, and everything else, plus I usually grab some treats. It was about $80 for my miniature schnauzer. Other places have charged me anywhere from $100 to $150 without question, and places cheaper than DNW have done some pretty poor work on him. Everything is so expensive now, but their prices feel fair and reasonable. I really appreciate them, and so does Doug, my dog.
