Canadian Oysters (after we ate them)
Joshua H.

Henry's Place - it was our first time here, and we'd heard about the prime rib, so I decided to order that. It was perfectly tender and seasoned, with a subtle au jus that took it up a notch. The Greek fries were a unique and perfect pairing. My wife's salmon, while simple on flavor (emphasis on the salmon, with some salt and light seasoning), was perfectly grilled. The Brussels were a bit more balsamic flavored than we prefer, but had great crispy texture. The Canadian oysters were super fresh and small, which I prefer for ease of eating / texture. The restaurant was busy, and we didn't get any silverware until our dinner came, which meant we had to eat out salads and dinner at the same time, but the service was excellent and quick overall, and we were more than happy to give a pass given the very busy Valentine's Day weekend. Overall we had a great experience and our food was excellent.

Excellent food and drink. Fast friendly service. Not much to look at inside but the Lobster roll was delicious.

The cutest place hidden in a strip mall. Yummy food and friendly staff. We are regulars at Henry's, because it's good.

We had prime rib and poutine, both of which were ok. Everything came out just warm, and drinks were decent.

Our server, Will, suggested a wine that turned out to be spot-on: a dry, subtle Chardonnay, nicely chilled and presented in a granite cooler on our table like it was royalty. Loved that detail. The entrées did not disappoint. My husband had the salmon, delicately enhanced with salmoriglio, served with wild rice atop a light bed of bok choy and baby carrots--simple, fresh, and perfectly balanced. I had the crab-stuffed shrimp, which was absolutely fabulous, also with wild rice, baby carrots, and that sneaky little layer of bok choy you barely notice but totally appreciate. It was a busy Saturday night, so definitely make reservations--it's worth it. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance: lively but not loud, elegant without being stuffy--the kind of place that makes you feel justified putting on heels and lipstick just because. And a special shoutout to GM Brad, who was absolutely wonderful, along with the rest of the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming--service like that makes a great meal unforgettable. We'll absolutely be back.

Dinner and service, however, was a huge disappointment. The 3 differnt pasta dishes ordered were bland and the pasta overcooked. The Carbonara tasted like Alfredo with some bacon pieces thrown in. While the accompaniments to the Branzino were good, the fish was overcooked and dry. Server was inattentive and didn't check on how the mains were. They also couldn't get the bill correct. We won't be back for a while. Hopefully, things will improve with time.

Our appetizers were each excellent. Our group ordered the Brussels sprouts and white fish dip. Would order those again. For entres, we enjoyed the burgers, filet mignon, chicken bowl, and crab caps. The restaurant is quaint but with sufficient seating to accommodate both small and medium sized groups. There is ample parking as it is located in a downtown district. The decor is simple modern, nice clean lines every where you look. Our waitress, along with those assisting her with food and drink were abundantly pleasant and welcoming. At one point the waitress prepared to offer me and my dining companions the drink specials and I jokingly asked her if she would "freestyle them" while I beatboxed. She admitted she was horrible but was down to try! We were both horrible but the exchange was fantastic and very personable! We appreciated her and her service throughout our evening. All of the cocktails we selected were well made with high quality liquors, no complaints there! The food. The food, the food was superb! We all enjoy the presentation of our dishes, beautiful and simple! Everything tasted well balanced and flavorful served in perfect portions. Our only complaint here was the pasta in the Cacio e Pepe. It was a little heavy and thick in texture but the flavors and the lump crab made up for it! The gluten free cake was shared by the table and enough for all to feel just the tiniest bit gluttonous! I look forward to returning to Envie to check out more of their menu and perhaps be able to have the same waitress.

Ordered the crab Rangoon dip, yummy crunch, cali roll with cream cheese, pad Thai, croque monsieur (because mom has never tried it and figured it could be worth a try), gouda Mac and cheese, chicken hibachi. $89+ Sushi, American and an eclectic mix of cuisine here. The cali roll is so-so. The chicken hibachi was overcooked and not much flavor. Comes with plain rice. I asked if I could get more veggies, another staffer said yes. Never saw one more piece of veggie at all, beyond what comes with the hibachi. The croque monsieur is ok, not super flavorful, the cheese on top seems like an afterthought. The crab Rangoon dip was decent. Wontons are nicely fried. Pitas aren't too bad. The smoked Gouda is quite good, the cork screw noodles are perfect with the cheese blend. The pad that is just okay, could have used a lime and some bean sprouts. Bar feel inside. Glad they have booths, my mother feels more comfortable in them, more closed off and protective than a table and chairs in the middle of the dining area. Our waitress wasn't too bad. Did end up interacting with other staff for items. We asked one waiter with chin length hair on his left side and short or shaved on the right side to take a picture, he looked annoyed and couldn't be bothered to take a picture of my family. He only took one picture and it was bleary and far away. Glad this sour grape didn't wait on us today. Phew!

A member of my party ordered the football shaped pot pie which had a nice presentation with some burnt edges. To me at least it was more of a corn and chicken pot pie instead of having the vegetables I'm used to seeing (peas, green beans, etc). Tastes fine but I've tasted much better. One member of the party loved the sweet potato tots and their wrap. Only one person tending the bar and tables. Food took a while to be served. Tip level started at 20%! This used to be a great spot to get a good meal but things have definitely changed for the worse. Service was not good either. We saw 3 groups of people leave after not being acknowledged by the wait staff. This place needs new management asap.
