I have been a customer of this store for quite some time, and in the last few months, I noticed on…read morethree separate occasions that the price tags on the same item were different. I advised them of this issue. I guess nothing was done, because I noticed the same thing a few months later, on two other occasions in this store. Recently, I had purchased my usual items here, and found at home when I looked closely at the receipt, that the price of one of the items had raised about 8 dollars, in just 2 weeks. So I called to ask why the price went up. As usual, the same miserable sounding, somewhat rude employee picked up the phone. I was given so many excuses, and was told if I wanted to speak to the owner, that I could only do so in two weeks, as he was away. The employee advised me I could get a refund, but I was still disappointed. I called the other evergreen location on St. Clair Ave, and was told the same item was 8 dollars cheaper. And I called another health food store, and the same vitamins were 6 dollars cheaper. I really hope that this store is not deliberately over pricing items, and hoping that customers won't notice. Either that, or the person pricing the items is continuously making mistakes, and that is really not good for business. I have been told by other people, that they are noticing the same problems with pricing at this store. Unfortunately, I was sort of going there out of convenience, and didn't bother checking prices elsewhere until now. Right after I called the other St Clair Ave Evergreen location, the same evergreen employee that I spoke to earlier from this location, called me back. She indicated that there was a human error when pricing these vitamins, and that the price was back to the original price, and I could come in to get my money back for the difference. Hmm ok lol. From now on, I will be paying close attention to the prices in this store, and perhaps start checking the prices of these products elsewhere. I would have given 3 stars for this issue, but I took a star off, because of the attitude I received from the employee that I spoke to over the phone, from this location. Also, some of the employees are not particularly helpful at this store, no one asks you if there is anything you need, and I always feel like I'm bothering them by asking questions. On one occasion, I went into this store and this same employee that I spoke to over the phone, was talking incessantly to another employee, while I had to wait to interrupt and ask for help. Would it also kill them to crack a smile every once in awhile, and say "hello" or "have a nice day?." I'm not saying they have to be nice everyday, we all have stuff we are dealing with in life, just every so often be a little helpful. Maybe also crack a joke. C'mon people, stop acting like zombies, live a little lol.

We're from California and it was completely impossible to buy crepes at the prices listed. Once I went in I was meant with the lovely owners who were so kind and welcoming. They gave us some of the smoothie they made to try. I felt like they were friends who just welcomed us to their home. We went to order a crepe and saw they had sourdough crepes! I'm a big fan of sourdough and although it is usually for savory crepes, it worked perfectly with the sweet crepe for me. Every bite was amazing. I will be back tomorrow to try the savory.

I really like their cosmetic section. They have a ton of natural products from brands such as Jason, Derma E, Kiss my Face and more. They have products here that I have not seen in other places such as Noah's; the prices are way less too! The price for vitamins and other supplements are generally less compared to other health foods stores as well, but the bulk food is a bit pricey. They do not sell any produce. The place is not too organized and it can take time to find what you're looking for. The staff here is not helpful and they don't offer any help. They seem to be pretty distracted with personal matters such as talking on the phone or blankly looking at the walls. You're pretty much on your own here. I'll come back here because they have most of my vitamins, other supplements and natural beauty products for less here. If you need any recommendation for health products, I would skip this place.

Kombucha and almond milk are offered at fair prices. When I was picking up the tofu, I noticed most of them were expired. I managed to find one package that was not expired/close to expiring, however they should take their food safety a little more seriously. They also offer herbals meds, cosmetics, protein powders and more at this location. Service was a bit slow but usual for my experience at healthy planet.

Since we've established a friendship, they now know me well enough to stop me from wasting money on certain products by reminding me that I'm already taking a similar supplement; or that I won't like the side effects. I never feel rushed or pressured as they always take their time explaining products and helping me make decisions. There are health food stores much closer to me but I will always go to Ginkgo- whether it's shopping online or making the trip to Yorkville.
